We hired Jaco for two tours and liked him so much that we asked him to do a third. Jaco knows the Cape Town area. His family has been there for many generations. So touring with him gives you a chance to experience Cape Town like a local. We did a tour of the Cape Peninsula, the wine country and the West Cape national park. All three were fascinating. And Jaco had a lot to do with that. While on tour, he told us many stories and filled in with interesting facts. Jaco is also very flexible and willing to adjust things last minute to make sure his clients are getting the experience they want. You cannot go wrong touring with Jaco.

Jaco took us on a marvelous tour of the cape peninsula. He is very knowledgeable about South African history, the geology of Cape Town’s surrounding mountains and the best vantage points to appreciate the jaw dropping beauty of the peninsula. He also had excellent recommendations for the best places for dinner in Cape Town and helped us make reservations. Jaco is very personable and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. He’s a terrific tour guide, and we would highly recommend him for any tour in the Cape Town area.

Jaco was the perfect host for our full day touring the Cape Peninsula. Lovely comfortable car, very safe driver, incredibly knowledgeable about the history, flora, & fauna (fynbos) of the region as well as insights from a local about social development and the modern day ramifications of old and new South African systems and infrastructure. Jaco was welcoming, balanced, humble, & funny in his explanations of any question we wanted to ask! We learned so much. The route we took was perfect for a day out and we covered all the things we wanted to do including the Penguins and Groot Constantia for a lovely lunch! Beautiful scenery from start to finish and we’ll certainly be back to Cape Town one day.
