- Thomas GAmsterdam, The Netherlands1,876 contributionsNice stroll through flowersThe botanic gardens are lovely in Glasgow and you can go in a big greenhouse with cool plants, but my highlight were the small connected greenhouses, where you really walk next to beautiful flowers. Outside there are also some flowers to observe. It will take you around an hour to see everything.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 October 2023
- Nick CutterForest of Dean, United Kingdom89 contributionsBeautiful just beautiful! What a good day out! Really really pretty location, have lovely photos. Feel like you’re in a different world, in some kind of serene oasis almost. The place is all looked after very nicely and it’s free to get in. I think the volunteer group who look after it all have done a great job. Thumbs up all around!! Worth a visit to anyone thinking of going. 👍👍👍Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 29 October 2023

- Matthew E12 contributionsBotanic Gardens GlasgowThe stunning Botanic Gardens is a delightful walk with many other facilities that makes it more inviting than your average walk trail, for example it has a children's park which makes it perfect for parents as this can keep the children entertained. The gardens also offers different sections like a vegetable garden and a rose garden which can be particularly interesting. And finally the building inside botanic gardens offers a variety of different plants to view and its own fish tank. These things all together make this walk special and also why personally i had a very positive experience while visiting.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 1 May 2024
- CM15775110 contributionsNot to be missed. This was one of the best things we did in Glasgow. The gardens are so varied and well labeled. The room of carnivorous plants really stood out as the largest and best displayed example I've ever encountered. The orchids are beautiful, as well as the statuary. The gardens outside were just as spectacular.Visited May 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 9 May 2024
- dundeetravellermrshcDundee, United Kingdom4,973 contributionsWorth a VisitVisited on a sunny busy Sunday morning. Visited the Orchid Display, which was very interesting to see, as various Orchid clubs from Scotland and England were on display, plenty of growers and sellers on hand to chat to and buy the orchids from, the various colours were beautiful. Also wandered through the fern trees, cacti, tropical section in the glasshouses, and outside the herb gardens. There are other areas to visit outside, also inside tearooms and an outside catering (tea/coffee) vendor, luvly outside picnic area, a large car park and a children's play area to use. An added bonus its free to visit. Worth a visit :)Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 May 2024
- JohnlewisGlasgow, United Kingdom11 contributionsGreat ExperienceI went to the Botanic Gardens for a trip with college and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the greenhouses and seeing all the different types of plants and fish. We started in first greenhouse and went to see the fish, we then moved through the greenhouse seeing different types of plants and greenery form different continents around the world. We then moved to a different part of the greenhouse and seen the killer plants. Once we had finished in this greenhouse we then moved to the next one where we were met with a larger array of plants and more fish. As we moved through the greenhouse and into hotter regions we were met by plants such as the cacti. My favorite part was seeing the catfish and the statues. This is a great day out for everyone whether it be friends, family or with colleagues.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 10 June 2024
- Heather B11 contributionsGlasgow botanic gardensWe ventured into Glasgow Botanic Gardens and had a blast! We stopped for coffee and snacks at the snack bar in the entrance both were delicious. We then went inside to one of the greenhouse and explored the various plants, trees, flowers, statues and cacti. We also explored the outside grounds and walked along the canal.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 10 June 2024
- FlossyfrillsDidmarton, United Kingdom90 contributionsFabulous Flora and FaunaSimply stunning, so well looked after and totally free. The Glass House was in beautiful gardens where you can spend a few hours wandering about. There are lots of different areas of interest, a rose garden, arboretum and children's play area. It's also in the fabulous West End, with lots of shops and cafés. We loved it!Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 21 June 2024
