During my stay at Sani Lodge in December 2018, together with Drakensberg Adventures I undertook the 5 day tour "Roof of Africa" to Lesotho. My tour guide was Mondli, whom I highly recommend. He has a great knowledge of the country and its people, is very familiar with flora

This backpackers reminded me of summer camp in the best way possible. Beds are comfy and the kitchens are well equipped. There’s fresh milk provided, too! You’re surrounded by green and there’s a nice area to hang out where staff will light a fire on cold evenings and mornings.

Many thanks for your review. It is nice to know that all the effort we put in is appreciated. Since we hope this will be your home away from home for a few days, it is important that the facilities make you feel at home! As far as transport is concerned, in addition to the minibus shared taxis which operate pretty much all over South Africa, there are also shuttle services operating from Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Kokstad allowing connections on the major bus and train routes around the country. We hope to welcome you again some time!

Thanks for the lovely review, Niklas. We are happy that you appreciated the many things we do to try and have our business "tread lightly" on the earth. Our staff try their very best and I will pass on your kind words to them, it means a lot to receive positive feedback. Our Standard Sani Pass day tour is excellent value, allowing you to get a taste of the special "Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho" with our dedicated and passionate guides. We also wish you could have stayed longer, and look forward to welcoming you again another time.

(A late review) We stayed at the backpackers over the weekend last year and loved every minute of it. The weekend we booked in was a busy one for them, so we stayed one night in the rondaval - which was cozy, clean and so comfortable, and the last night in the dormitory. We

We are also glad that you enjoyed the "melting pot" which we aim to create here - a place for people from all over the world to meet, chat and swap stories. It goes with our motto- "No TV - Rediscover the lost art of conversation!"
