During the Oromo troubles last year someone planted a farm tractor at the entrance to the Resort and set fire to the vehicle. The inferno was so hot the asphalt softened and the tractor sank into the road. It is still there as a rusted relic and seriously scared the resort staff at the time. The government extended the initial 6 month state of emergency set down in October 2016, by 3 months. So until that is lifted - say end of June 2017, I would imagine that tractor will remain there.
