Being in a privileged location, this hotel offers its guests a handy connection to Chile's three main ski centers, which together cover the largest ski area in South America. Posada de Farellones hotel has a marked Swiss style, where wood and stone are mixed to create a lively, cozy atmosphere. Our gastronomy, which is our most defining feature, is of superb quality and much attention to detail is paid. Ski Centres & First Chile Ski Lodge These are the most important places to ski in Chile and larger than Argentina ski resorts. Farellones ski resort is the smallest in the area, capable and excellent chance for a beginner family ski trip with ski school teachers and tubing park. Here, skiers will be able to enjoy the majestic view of sky-scraping mountains surrounding the hotel, the most modern ski lifts available in the country and excellent ski tracks, ideal for all kinds of skiers. You can enjoy skiing in Chile, from June to October for an unforgettable family ski trip. La Parva is a part of Three Valleys of Chile, together with Valle Nevado and El Colorado ski center. La Parva quickly rises to 3.630 Meters (11.910 Feet), and steep climbs it offers easy access to areas out of track much like The Chimney, with deep gorges, and cornices. Also it provides a clear opportunity to photograph from the top of the mountains of world class and a passage without equal like Cerro La Parva and La Falsa Parva. You may plan a day skiing trip from the Colorado ski resort. This ski center as La Parva has the advantage to cross in to Valle Nevado by means of the ski lifts that rise to the summits. The east face this one of the cone of The Colorado (local name El Cono Este), in general has the best snow since product of strong winds they accumulate big snow quantities here; the best skiing heavens powder in South America. Top range skiing trip without a helicopter also is available in Santa Teresita, well known for the expert riders getting from Colorado Ski resort and skiing down the virgin area to the main road of Valle Nevado where a van will met our clients. Covered with Valle Nevado, it has 25.000 Hectares, and light snow is famous for experimented skiers, along places with phenomenal sight of the Mountain range of the Chilean Andes. This complex offers us amazing places to ski, marked trails, excellent off piste and fantastic conference in the shade of the Andean Condor that often they fly over us. Here, you can go so highly as 3.670 Meters (12.400 Feet) on the sea level. If you look in your family trip to Chile for the possibility of flying and ski, Valle Nevado also offers Heli ski in the nearby peaks with amazing skiing areas full of fresh powder.

A very nice, but short stay in this small private hotel. Although we went for skiing and the snow was poor the owner and his staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room was large, but still cosy. The food and drink were great with really enthusiastic staff and the public areas welcoming. After 3 days we almost felt part of the family.

Pau and his team were fantastic! Hotel Posada has the history and the hospitality that we seek when we stay off the beaten path. Great home base to visit all three local ski areas. The hotel staff were amazing and made us feel very welcome. Rooms are modest but clean and well equipped. Our rate included breakfast and dinner - the food prepared by the Argentinian chefs was delicious and they even accommodated my wife's dairy allergy. The desserts by the Brazilian chef were creative and beautiful! Good beer and wine selection. Comfortable and welcoming "family room" with wood pellet stove provided great location for reading and computer time. Hot tub was clean, hot and welcome after skiing and hiking. When we return to Chile for skiing we are definitely returning to Hotel Posada de Farellones!

Our stay was amazing. Pau and the staff (Christiana, Allen, Magdalena, Maricel, Camila, and the three shy chefs) were very friendly and helpful. They were accommodating with my “no dairy” dietary requests. We loved the three dogs and cats around. The setting was very nice- rooms were clean, sitting room was inviting with the pellet stove and fireplace, dining room was a great place for meals. Very tasty food and good variety!!! Close enough to Ville Nevado. The history was very interesting. A nice “home away from home”. Thank you for making out first trip Chile enjoyable.

My wife and I and our grown son stayed here three nights in early August with half board. It was a great choice ... everyone on the staff without exception was very nice and helpful, the hotel was in a great location, the room was nice and the food was excellent. Paulo was very helpful with whatever advice was needed (Cristina as well). We arrived in the later morning after an early morning flight into Santiago, picking up the rental car, shopping for snacks and beverages at the Lider Puente Nuevo, and the drive up the mountain. Cristina stored our luggage for us while we drove around the ski areas, then we came back for a huge, delicious lunch at their restaurant. After this, our room was ready. We had room K, a five-person room with a room containing two bunkbeds and the bathroom off the hall, and then a short flight of stairs up to the second room with a matrimonial bed and two bunkbeds. The upstairs room could have been improved with the addition of a privacy door at the top of the stairs, but otherwise was very nice, with plenty of room to spread out. We kept our window open at night, and got used to the occasional barking dogs throughout the night. The bathroom was quite small, but the hot water in the shower was strong and plentiful, and unlike in Peru, we were encouraged to put paper in the toilet. For the half-board, all guests eat from a set menu. However, the staff was very accommodating on the selections ... they read you the menu in advance, and if there were any items you didn't like, they offered several alternates. Dinner was served at 8:00, and breakfast from 7-10. We thought all of the food was very good, nicely presented and a good quantity. We added many Pisco Sours, which were delicious. If you walk out the front door of the hotel and turn right, a short walk brings you to a beautiful overlook down into the valley with Santiago beyond ... a great place to watch the sunset and get some beautiful photos. Breakfast was served at 7, but they continued to bring out food for another 15 minutes, so wait to see if your favorite selections are yet to come. It's a good buffet with plenty of selection. After breakfast when we were ready to ski around 9, Paulo drove us over to El Colorado or La Parva. He made arrangements to pick us up at 5, and this worked out fine. When we returned to the hotel, we left our boots and skis by the lobby, and they took them to the ski room/boot dryers, and then brought them out to us in the morning. There is a hot tub spa which is open until 7:45; we used it twice and were the only people in the hot tub. There is a cabinet with plenty of towels, and it is a short walk down the hall to the rooms. Our Spanish is basic, but most of the staff either is proficient in English or able to communicate well. I think only our serving waitresses at dinner had no English, but they were very nice and we had no problems. All in all, Posada de Farellones was a great place to stay, and I would stay again. Later we stayed at Hotel Puerta del Sol in Valle Nevado, and I prefer the intimacy of Posada de Farellones.

Stunning Hotel, situated minutes from the El Colorado Ski Centre. The staff were extremely attentive and were able to assist us with booking our ski rentals/lessons (at a huge discount!). Complementary drop off and collection from the ski resort. We did not have to think about a single thing while there! The hotel has a jacuzzi that we used both nights to relax after a full day of skiing. The sunset from the front of the property was incredible. I cannot forget to mention Scott, the resident dog that parades the grounds. He added extra enjoyment to our trip! Included in the booking was complementary breakfast and a 3 course dinner. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
