Cozy and homely unit and explore peaceful and scenic Swiss Alps with free tourists. The Pizza at the restaurant is superb tasty just CHF40 and 2 drinks for 2. Closed early at 8pm. The Grocery Store within has the cheaper souvenir to choose from. Elementary ski school and ski rental available on site

Just returned from a 1 week stay with family. This is a lovely hotel with a very warm atmosphere, a friendly owner and staff who are always smiling. Rooms: very nice rooms, spacious and generally light, though the bathrooms are small with only a dispensing shower gel provided (you will need to take your own toiletries). The beds are fantastically comfortable. The showers are terrific. Old fashioned to look at but they belt out hot water! Food: breakfast is great; continental breakfast with cereals, fruit and the most amazing fresh bread. Half board is available on request, the menu is okay, but limited / simple for children. Bar area: bar open every day, Whole area is quite dark, (not sure it would be easy to read a book / paper there etc), but there is a roaring fire which is brilliant after a long day skiing. It does have a cozy feel to it all. Facilities: All in the basement and really impressive. Boot room is quite large, opens out to the front of the hotel. There is also an indoor swimming pool (wonderful for kids) , a sauna, steam room and gym. Other: Ski hire shop is right next door and accessible from the hotel as well. Owner sorts out lift passes and provides them on day 1 of skiing. Location: If you are a good skier, you can literally cross the road at the front of the hotel and ski down a short run (not a piste) to the drag lift at the bottom which then takes you to a chair lift. For beginners or low intermediates, you are probably better to walk about 400 metres (downhill on the way there, uphill on the way back) to the beginners area and ski school (Le Virage). Perfectly manageable but a bit tiring wearing ski boots and carrying skis. We had a super holiday - a great place to ski in the quieter part of Portes du Soleil, and you can reach the whole area easily - but some of the pistes to get there and those to get back (red runs) are tricky in parts. Very nice people, no queues and highly recommended!

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Champoussin Lodge in a party of 8 which includes 4 adults and 4 Kids. The resort of Champoussin is very small but very accessible and also in a great location to access the surrounding resorts and a small hop over to France. The ski rental shop is attached to the hotel so nice and easy for grabbing your bits and pieces. The hotel is run by Yorst and his very capable team who are friendly and helpful. The rooms as clean and functional and look as though they have been refurbished recently. The bathrooms are however slightly small but do the job and are again clean and functional. The hotel reception has a great open plan area that includes a fireplace, lots of sofa’s a pool table and a bar and drinking area. The swimming pool and gym are located in the lower ground floor and has everything you need to relax and chill after a days skiing. Note this is a kid friendly hotel and therefore the kids are playing and jumping in the pool. That was no issue for us but some guests appeared to think this was unacceptable. We will definitely be returning.

This is an RCI resort and we had stayed there for a week through our resort exchange program. We stayed in a 1 BR apartment with excellent views of the Alps. The resort is a single block of apartments in a Ski Chalet design. We had gone there in early April, which is the low season and we found the place almost empty. This was really soul-satisfying experience. We could go for long walks in the woods surrounding the Chalet or play in the snow at the slopes below the Chalet. The manager Enest Eggen is a gem of a person and helped us with ideas on how to spend the week, what to eat and where to go. Will come back again soon.

We came with 100 friends from Germany for 10 days Ski trip to Champoussin and allocated the whole hotel. This was a challenging situation for the Hotel team, who did a great job and made us completely satisfied. The hotel is completely renovated, very clean, has best location with the Ski slopes right across the street and a breath taking view on the dents-du-midi moutains. Sport shop and Ski rental right inside the building als with excellent service. The hotel kitchen has greatly improved it's quality compared to the past years. Fish and meat equally is cooked juicy and nicely spiced. And the sides well suiting the dish. The lobby, bar and spa area provide all you need for relaxing time after skiing both for kids and adults. I am looking forward to come back to Champoussin Lodge many times!!

The view from Champoussing Lodge is stunning, the beds soft, the pool with Sauna and hammam warm and relaxing and the apartment spacious, bright and super comfortable. From the hotel terrace you step right onto the slope, which leads into the magnificent ski area of Portes de Soleil. What makes Champoussin Lodge truly unforgettable is the energetic and charismatic host Joost and his charming and helpful crew. I don’t know how the chef manages it, but the food is absolutely amazing, every single night. Breakfast with a view is a great start of the day. Excellent apres-ski G&Ts by the fireplace the perfect unwinding after a day on the slopes. We will certainly return!
