The lodge is located in a great spot deep in the savannah. Unfortunately we were not there at the right time. The rainy season has driven many animals deeper into the park. As a result, the pictures of the website cannot be shot. In the evening a great thunderstorm with lots of rain, making the way back the next morning a true 4x4 experience (lovely). But the lodge is also great, attractive, friendly managers and staff. Beautiful view also from the tent. Great tent with outdoor shower where the hot water takes a while (heating). Despite the worries about staying away from the guests, all kindness. It is deserved that the guests come again soon.
The camp was nice but nothing special. Actually I thought it was to expensive. The spot therefore was really beautiful. Very nice game drives. Absolutely the best we had. But also the most expensive. Nice tents. Nice little swimming pool. Very simpel breakfast and dinner. But good.
Room, people and food all good. Best thing about this lodge was talking to the owner over dinner in the evening. We managed to put the world to rights and got rid of both Trump and Johnson in the first evening. As at a lot of reserves this year, wildlife was hard to find, not helped by having, in my opinion, a poor guide Stephan, who didn't seem at all interested in his job which is such a shame because a good guide can make a game drive really interesting even when game is scarce
we have been spoilt by stays in other similar lodges in Africa that offer all-inclusive packages at similar rates and have that "personal touch" feel to them, so our stay at Nkasa was a bit of a letdown. Admittedly, out of their control with the poor rains in the region, the river in front of the lodge is virtually none existant so sightings at the lodge were low. The lodge itself is well constructed and thought out and blends in with the surroundings.
Very friendly and helpful staff For birding it is a must to stay 3 days between November and April It is a te red camp on stilts and not wheelchair friendly Very recommended kitchen Your view out of your tent is unbelievable into nature The wildlife around you is unbelievable This is a must for those who love en enjoy mother nature
