An absolute Jewel and perfect highlight for anyone looking for a romantic getaway or a special somewhere for an event.
It was a relatively smooth drive from Johannesburg to Potchefstroom where the Feather Hill Soa, Restraunt & Boutique Hotel is situated. Had it not been for the fact that my partner was competing in the SA Powerlifting Nationals we would never even known of this area let alone this gem of an establishment, and boy are we overjoyed we have. From arrival to departure every single staff encounter was met with a professional courtesy and every request a genuine determination to have it met effortlessly. In other words, nothing was a problem and at no time were we made to feel like we were putting anyone out or being difficult. Big thank you to the chef and staff for, for despite their big “Jazz & Gin Night”, ensuring we were catered for with our “off menu” dietary requests, setting a table up on our balcony away from the set crowd booking - this was due only because of said partners competition being following day. Our request too to utilize the spa, again explaining that my partner needed to she’d just those tiny extra kilos for the next day .( ie sauna and steam etc) was met with a “most certainly “ getting the manager to make sure it was set aside for our use and everything was switched on and operational.
The night after he has competed, as we were still booked in the hotel AND booked for the restaurant, staff we hadn’t yet encountered were asking how he had done at the comp and we were amazed at how genuinely attentive everyone was.
What else was incredible was the food! Amazing ! My being a vegetarian and requesting the chef to mix up the couple of veg plates on offer wasn’t an issue and hungry man stated that the beef he inhaled was in fact the best he’s had since being in SA. Absolutely done to perfection full of flavor and tender as.
Our only disappointment was that we had hoped to stay on one more night and though the staff tried to make this happen, fully booked they remained, so after a friendly call up to us to inform us that we could catch breakfast - which again was out of this world, with my partner having 2 dishes! Another statement being that the French toast was fabulous - yes even better than mine !
We’ve travelled quite extensively throughout many countries around the world, staying in quote 5 star hotels, many of which don’t rate nearly as high as I rate this one. It all comes down to genuine real, customer service that’s followed thru on and results delivered .
A huge thank you to everyone for making our stay seamless and trouble free.

Excellent, very neat and friendly staff. If a can give a tip ... please provide the bar or rooms with sport channels to watch rugby or other sport. Food was good. Rooms are very comfortable with beautiful view of Potch landscapes.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! The hotel and it's grounds are beautiful. The Chapel and wedding venue are a throwback to the medieval era with immaculately kept lawns. The hotel is tastefully decorated to give it a modern yet rustic finish. The room was spacious and practical, also beautifully decorated, the fireplace was a wonderful touch for the cold nights. The staff are amazing, they catered to our every request efficiently and were always friendly. They truly went above and beyond. They set up a picnic for us in the shade of the chapel and wedding venue, we had a nice view of the Potch lake, the charcuterie board was amazing. The hotel boasts an amazing spa, we skipped out on treatments opting for a day visit to another local spa but did make use of the Spa's Hyrdo facilities. Again the hotel staff went above and beyond as the spa was closed for the day but they opened up for us to make use of the steam room, heated pool and sauna facilities. All in all a wonderful place to visit. We will definitely be returning for more staycations.

The worst value for money experience. The saddle tjop meal(R235) was extremely dissapointing:Low grade and tasteless meat wit porridge and potato fritters. The creme brulé was overly sweet and overkilled with senseless add-onns.The front-end staff was good. The kitchen needs a realistic wake-up.Keep it simple and natural and provide good value for money to fit your stunning location

Definitely the perfect place to experience a full relaxing stay. State of the art, fine-dining restaurant and luxurious accommodation. A top class Boutique Hotel with the feel of home. 🌸 Great to have experienced the award winning spa and to have a look at the marvelous view from the Chapel.

An amazing multifunctional space that can provide for both pleasure and business with big conference rooms available on the premises.

The exceptional management team work hard to meet your every need.

We had the most delightful stay at Feather Hill. Everything from the very start to the end was perfect. The staff, namely Norma, Luthando and Lukhanyo made anything administrative seamless, interaction friendly and went above and beyond for any requests that we had. We'd also like to acknowledge the chef who was on duty the evening of the 18th of Feb and the morning of the 19th of Feb, the food was scrumptious! Flavours were complex yet in harmonious balance and meat cooked perfectly to request.

We have stayed at many places around the country and internationally and we can proudly say that Feather Hill in little ol'Potch can compete effortlessly on the international stage.

Details make or break a place and the staff named above coupled with the decor, food and quality of amenities/fabric of the bedding/art on the walls, certainly make this place the absolute gem that it is.

We booked in for a weekend to get away from the busy city live. This place is amazing and I will come back again and again.
I cannot really explain it but there is a tranquility at The Feather Hill that you cannot explain.
I did not expect this in Potch. We soaked in the indoor pool and relaxed under the umbrellas at the outdoor pool, enjoyed the view and found rest for our souls.
I can recommend this as a break away destination and to any corporate travellers. Best in North West.

Everything was ok except our leaving.
We had to go very early in the morning around 5.45 a.m. and we informed about it the day before. They said no problem we will get coffee and some sandwiches.
We got the hot cheese sandwiches the evening before but of course after 12 hours the taste wasn´t really good. That’s only a minor thing.
The biggest problems was that when we wake up there was no power and nobody of the team was around. So we didn´t could take a shower because the water pressure was too low and of course the hair dryer didn´t work.
And when we left the hotel still nobody was there – although it was promised – and we got no coffee.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent stay with us. We apologize for the inconvenience caused during your departure. We understand that your early morning departure was important, and we are sorry to hear that we fell short of your expectations. Regarding the sandwiches, we regret that they did not meet your expectations. We have addressed this with our kitchen team to ensure that our guests receive only the best quality food items. We are sorry to hear about the power outage and the low water pressure that prevented you from taking a shower and using the hair dryer. Loadshedding is part of our Industry's challenges as our generator is set on a timer. Unfortunately, by the time you got ready, the generator was still in OFF mode. Best Regards,

The hotel is tucked away in Potchefstroom giving splendid views of Stelifontein and a bit of Klerksdorp. The service is great, easily matches The Maslow. Unique menu at the restaurant and vistas to die for.
