The staff so friendly and helpful! The chalets so big and spacy. Fully equipped. Everything in working order. A great place to go and rest. The jacuzzi is a plus which I definitely enjoyed. Other activities include bicycles for hire, sand boards, pool table, outside large chess board. My car even had a rest in undercover parking. We were supplied with drinking water and even tea and coffee.
The view from the he chalets were great.

160 Kilometres from both East London and Port Elizabeth. Excellent resort for both adults and the kids. Enough entertainment for kids. Location excellent. Not far from numerous places which are a must to see. Within the heart of pineapple territory and these are divine, both the juices and the fruits!
Comfortable bedrooms.two upstairs and one downstairs. Shower only in downstairs bathroom. Spacious lounge and dining room area.Well fitted kitchen . Self catering unit and the town centre boats bot Pick and pay and Spar with a fully fledged shopping mall as you enter the mall.
Loads of time spent fishing along the Kowie River although we did not that much, others did. Beautiful golf course in the town, 5 minutes from the resort but unfortunately did not have the chance to play there.
The kids utilized the on site swimming pool extensively whilst the adults took advantage of the in house spar (not the supermarket!)
Essentially it was a laid back peaceful holiday, leaving behind all the urban pressures

Could not believe the size and view of the chalet given the price. Huge smart tv connected to the internet, view of the ocean view balcony definately recommended. Games room with sauna, table tennis etc.

Mould mould mould... Mould on the curtains, mould on the sofas, mould on the kitchen cabinets, basin, and shower head. Ohh and the stained bedding :(. Otherwise, it's a beautiful place. You wake up to the ocean breeze. Services include bicycles, sand boards, jacuzzi, Xbox etc.

Having looked forward to our break for months we were very disappointed when we walked into our chalet. The kitchen units were rotten at the bottom, the drawer didn't close and the general cleanliness was off putting. The towels and tea towels smelt unwashed, along with the bed linen. The bathrooms smelt of urine, the shower door you couldn't see through it and the plug holes had thick black mould round them which I managed to get off with a lot of scrubbing, just to make us feel better when using the sink. The curtains had rips in them and I'm not sure the cushions in the living area have ever been washed. The freezer door all the rubber had come off so it didn't close properly. The setting of the Chalets are amazing with sea views over a beautiful beach and the pool area is lovely. This is not a 3 star, maybe 2 so don't come with high expectations

Thank you SouthAfrican2, for your valuable feedback. I would like to take this opportunity to apologise and assure you that the issues that you had during your stay, is not the standard that one should expect from our resort, as you can see from our previous reviews. I will definitely be looking into all of the problems that you experienced, to ensure that whatever issues the housekeeping and maintenance staff had, are rectified immediately and no problems of this nature arise in the future. Kind regards, Kerry Havenga - General Manager

We are here for 7 days, booked 2 units 10 people in total. Only to find that due to COVID-19 regulations there won’t be any cleaning services.
If we’d known that we’d be expected to clean our own units during our stay, we wouldn’t have chosen this resort. You could at-least clean the units on alternate days!
Being on holiday means a break from our everyday duties back at home.

Thank you lehumomemories, for taking the time to complete this review. We advise our guests prior to arrival during courtesy calls of the housekeeping situation and it also states on our website that housekeeping service is upon request only. We also mention this during the check in process. If your unhappiness regarding the situation had only been brought to our attention during your stay, we would have definitely made arrangements for your units to be serviced. We hope that you will visit us again and we will do our very best to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Kind regards, Kerry Havenga - General Manager

We arrived on 1 Feb 2022 and our initial reaction was a “wow”, what a lovely place. The interior of our unit (no. 12) was clean and well kept. However, during the following days until our departure on 4 February, we discovered that the resort as a whole was in a state of serious disrepair. External maintenance of our unit was nonexistent and treatment of the woodwork was sadly absent. In my opinion the neglect, especially to the maintenance of the buildings and general resort area was seriously lacking. On the night before we left, a wooden plank from the top story came crashing down onto the deck below, with potentially disastrous effects to visitors. This is a no- no. Avoid.

Lovely bedding and mattresses. Got a good night's rest.
The kitchen was sparsely stocked -not sufficiently stocked. Eg Small pan for 6 people.
No plug for the bathroom basin.
Bring your own dishwashing soap.
No placemats. No emergency lights for electricity power cuts are provided.
I suppose when they say self-catering, they mean bring everything you think you will need from home. Eg sharp pairing knife
Otherwise not too bad

The chalets are close to the beach.
Well equipped with all the basics.
If trip advisor had a 3.5 out of 5 I would give them a 3.5.

The place was clean and it is serviced daily, except public holidays (i think) and Sundays.

There is a swimming pool and a kids play park (the trampoline is in a poor condition) with nice swings, etc for the kids.

A drawback is that check in only starts from 4pm which is a bit late.

3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, nice loving room, tv with dstv hotel bouquet. The bedrooms have decent bedding and mattresses and block out curtains.

Would not really recommend if the kids are under 3years. The stairs can be a bit stressful and also the houses are on stilts so you cant really let them run wild as some of the areas are high and they could fall.

Overall not bad and I would come again once my 15month old is a bit older.

Checked in for a week. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful chalet with a view of the sea. Close enough to listen to the rolling waves. Everything one would need is equipped in this chalet. Bring your food and relax.
