Kairaba Bodrum Imperial offers a tranquil atmosphere with peaceful pools and enchanting gardens, though entertainment options are few. Guests have commended the hotel's cleanliness and amenities, such as the inviting beach and pristine pools. However, opinions on service and room quality vary, with some praising the friendly staff and comfortable accommodations, while others report inconsistency and upkeep concerns. The hotel's location, while scenic, may be inconvenient for those looking to explore Bodrum. Additionally, the value proposition has been questioned by travelers who expected more for their money.

We stayed here for 7 nights in October for a joint family holiday. The hotel was absolutely stunning, just huge and well spaced out room blocks. The scenery is beautiful you really do feel like your living in a luxury apartment with lovely foliage, scenery and space. We had a children with us including 2 babies and this hotel is perfect for them, plenty to do with toddlers as well with the parks, mini golf, children’s club and beach literally on the door step. We were put in block 7 which is closed to the pool and restaurants so this was very considerate of them especially with the children. The pool is huge, it looks big on the pictures but in person it really is impressive. The water slide as well was just fabulous, they only have the one however it is really all you need! There is also another smaller splash pool for small children and another relax pool for adults only. The food is excellent, we were all inclusive and their is just so much on offer at each meal times. The meals do vary on a daily basis but all the staples are usually there. Another good think about the hotel is that we did check in at midnight and they still had the restaurant open for late night snack in case we needed it. The snack bar is open till 5 each day and if you like western style fast food it is on offer here without all the grease of a takeaway, so impressed here as well. The beach is also really close by with water sports also included with an extra charge. The on-site spa is also great with the sauna, steam room and Turkish hammam bath available for free which is excellent. They also do all spa activities at an extra cost. The service is excellent I cannot fault it, the staff were always in hand to help where needed and were always accommodating. Our return flight was not until 11pm and they were kind enough to allow us to keep a room for late check out to make it easier for the babies. I would also like to give a special thanks to Ayaz and Hamza who are the waiters in the restaurant for such excellent service. They really were the nicest people and so lovely with our children especially the babies. I cannot fault the hotel, everything about it was excellent and our stay was just so well organised that we have had an excellent holiday. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again on our next Turkish holiday.

First the best part: the sea is great & warm with a lot of fish like an aquarium. The pool is also good & huge. You can find sun beds at the pool and the beach although people always try to reserve the best ones with their towels

The worst: 1. not enough staff, you need to wait long queues for everything: a clean table at the restaurant, a coffee at the coffee house, 30 minutes under the sun for a döner. That makes relaxing quite difficult

2. The paper wristbands you must wear at all times wear off because they are paper. then the staff keeps asking if you are a hotel guest and you are asked to go to the reception to get a new one, quite stupid. We couldn’t reach the reception by phone and we went there oh some rooms lines don’t work so you can’t call the reception

3. Many hornets all around the hotel, makes it difficult to eat outside. I’m surprised we weren’t stung but could be quite frightening for kids

The rest

1. Food is ok, you can find chicken, fish and meat every day. However, quantity isn’t everything, I’ve never looked at the dessert buffet and passed on before but I couldn’t find anything out of a wide selection in this hotel. The restaurant is quite depressing with leftovers and not enough air

2. Not much entertainment other than live music or children’s outdoor cinema, where you need fight for a seat

3. The rooms are ok, too much noise from A/c or the fridge which has only a soda and water in it.

4. Drinks are barely ok with unknown brands other than Tuborg and captain Morgan. there was a bartender who couldn’t make White Russian although it’s on the menu, another one who puts peach liquor instead of rum to mojito because guests won’t know the difference

All & all you could have a good time if you like swimming and don’t have high expectations for food, drinks and night time shows.

Our stay was incredibly enjoyable. We arrived early and still could move into our 2 bedroom room, clean with airco already on. Meals at the main restaurant were always very good, with a wide variety of dishes and a great salad bar. Cakes were made fresh every day. The staff here and around the whole resort really made you feel at home! Great swimming pools, one is for adults only, sandy beach, clear water, a real pleasure. Great music shows at night, a real treat for the whole family. We left happy, having been treated with care and attention.

I don’t understand how they advertise this hotel as a 5* as it is the furthest thing from one, I have visited better 3* hotels. To start with check in took really long, which after traveling with children is not what you want. no staff speak good English which makes it really hard to even ask the simplest questions, majority of staff are really unhelpful, the food is typical poor all inclusive stuff which you just don’t want to put in your mouth, they don’t even have pasta on display you have to ask if you want it cooked, no ice cream or yoghurts for the kids, only yoghurt that had been out open on display in big pots which tasted horrible. Hardly no fresh fruit I had to ask for a banana which they didn’t even have, they only had things like lemons and oranges out which looked like they had been sitting there for weeks, the alcohol they use is the cheap stuff which tasted horrible, if you wanted something branded it was an extra charge, which when I wanted to buy myself a pink gin I only had 200 lira on me and the drink costed 80 lira and they didn’t have any change so I couldn’t even have the drink, pretty stupid. The staff look at you like your stupid when you have a question or try to complain about something. The maids are awful have a really bad attitude and the rooms were never cleaned properly, our feet were constantly black from walking round bare foot in our bedroom, the maids never re stocked the mini fridge or took out our dirty cups from the side, the kettle was disgusting I wouldn’t even drink water from it if I was paid too. The kids club never had any staff around or toys to play with or any entertainment, my daughter is 1 and loves to crawl so I thought I’d let her crawl around in a safe place, when I picked her up her hands and feet were completely black from the disgusting floor. The play park for the children is unsafe Especially the swings. The only entertainment for kids was a mini disco which didn’t start until 9:30pm, by then my daughter was fast asleep. In the end my partner and our friend complained to the owner of the hotel which offered us a free meal at the snack bar, which turns into an al carte restaurant in the evening, the food was lovely and so was the service, but it was the same staff who worked there during the day with their awful attitude which was strange, it was a really nice meal but still didn’t make up for all the bad things. The only good thing is that the pool and the beach are lovely and the hotel has really nice views, but the food the service and the cleanliness is awful, if you are British I wouldn’t recommend to visit as it just seems you are over looked completely, will not be returning.

No other way of putting it but this hotel is NOT a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. I’m not entirely sure if the standard in bodrum is increasingly worse than Antalya, as this is my first time visiting bodrum, but compared to the likes of the hotels on Lara Beach in Antalya, the bodrum imperial doesn’t even factor in anywhere on the scale at even being anywhere close!!! First of all, this hotel is very spread out. Nothing is close to each other. Your room will be in either block 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.. the reception is in a separate block up about a million steps. This hotel does not have lifts!!! The restaurant is located in another building. The pool area is ALWAYS busy. I have never encountered such a noisy, busy, pool area on any holiday I have ever been on. There is a quiet pool, but the steps for that pool aren’t suitable for anyone with any slight disability. There is no snack bar at this hotel, only a snack restaurant which serves lunch 12-5. This is the hotel hotel I have ever stayed in, in Turkey, of all my years visiting this amazing country, that do not offer snacks throughout the day! There’s no pancakes or donuts round the pool, no sweet treats in the afternoon, nothing! The standard of this hotel I would say is at a 4 star at a push but that’s me being generous. Our fridge in our room was never restocked, not even once during our holiday. Water came in little cartons, not actual bottles. The main restaurant was very very limited, they ran out of pancakes in the morning at about 9am, and the omelettes were covered in grease. I had to actually ask them to not use as much oil as I just couldn’t bare the amount of oil they used in every single thing! The staff in this hotel are all very rude, pushy, and persistent. If you want a quiet hotel, a peaceful holiday, just to relax in peace and unwind, this is absolutely NOT the place for you!!!! I wouldn’t return to bodrum again and I certainly wouldn’t return to this hotel even if I was paid a very large sum of money.

The resort and the service received are not 5* Ultra All Inclusive, at most 4* maybe and there are a few points to be made here:
1. The food was mostly suited to vegetarians and is generally too bland. Lack of variety and quantity – most of the times the restaurant didn’t replace the finished dishes with new ones and the cooked dishes were the same every single day. The food was finished long before closing times. There were only 5 types of fruit offered – bananas, grapefruits, oranges, melons and watermelons. The chicken offered was undercooked and full of bones as if only chicken carcases were used.
2. The bath towels were not replenished regularly, most of the time there were 1 or 2 short.
3. The main door to our family room had issues closing thus setting the alarm at unusual times, the entry cards needed re-activating more times than I care counting.
4. The food at the pool bar / restaurant was not well prepared and the waiters were impolite.
5. Beware of individuals selling boat trips – nothing of what they offered matches the reality. The boats are overcrowded and there is no safety training given, the drinks are way too expansive. Be prepared to have your shoes taken before you climb on board and kept with other people’s in some sort of baskets during the trip. You will get your shoes back upon disembarkation – the boat operators will just dump them in a heap at the port.
6. The spa treatments are far too expansive for the level of service provided. I’m not sure if the spa workers are treated well and paid appropriately.
If you like to have a good experience with staff, don’t be embarrassed to tip well. Some of the waiters are actually quite good.
On the positive side – the sea water was clean and pleasant to swim in and the weather was great, managing to soften the unpleasant experiences. The beach is fitted with good material-made shading and there was good space between the lounging chairs.
In general, I don’t consider the Kairaba Resort as a place to recommend to others and there was no value for our hard-earned money.

Our experience has been extremely disappointing. This hotel only appears to have 5 stars.
We picked this place based on comments by other visitors. We should have read more.
There's nothing hygienic about this place besides the sea.
We are not sure if the rooms are properly cleaned. Every time we saw someone from the room services, that person used to smoke and was not wearing any mask.
The all-inclusive restaurant was depressing with panicky guests roaming around like the food would finish. This made it so displeasing to have proper lunch or dinner. There was only one man who helped us out during our visits there.
The only decent place was the cafe. The people working there were probably the only ones who knew what they were doing.
We talked with many people to help with all the issues but the management was so poor in performance.
Too sad that such a beautiful setting os going to waste with careless management.

We will avoid this place in the future.

Me and my family stayed here for a week in may. Honestly is the furthest thing from a 5 star hotel I would honestly avoid at all cost. No one speaks a word of English so even ordering a drink is impossible, the alcohol is cheap and disgusting and they charge you if you want something decent! The rooms we complained about 4 times as we have young children and the floors are black not cleaned and sheets aren’t changed. Our first 4 days there was no ice cream for our children and was told it doesn’t start until June and then the manager apologised saying they have a delay in the order.
The food is not good either, they use the chips and onion rings from dinner and put them out at breakfast! You will get the odd thing that’s eddible that you can eat.
There are dogs everywere around the hotel and some of them aren’t friendly which isn’t good for children! Every night around 1:30 in the morning dogs would be barking which woke my son up every night I complained and was told nothing they can do because there hotel dogs !!! Shocking. Every time we complained they never had a solution or anything to offer us just excuses. There is NO snack bar it is just a place we’re you can order chicken pizza or pasta and it’s their choice of toppings if you ask for anything different they say they have none left.
The day before we went home they invited us to the al carte restaurant which I cannot fault it was lovely the same staff just different attitudes which was strange.
Lovely looking hotel just run really bad and I didn’t enjoy my experience at all.

Very confused by the negative reviews. The grounds are stunning. Staff are friendly and up for laugh. You always get a sunbed with ease by the pool (9 of us came). Little tip - put towels down by 10am for guaranteed space (we came during busy period - august) Drinks, not great first week, but second week massive improvement! Not sure why. Buffet can get very busy around 8pm onwards, so go around 7:15 - 7:30. A larger buffet area (main restaurant) would hugely improve hotel. Family room is very spacious. The cleaners in block 6 were amazing! Always cleaned our room and filled our fridge with coke cola, Fanta, iced tea etc. One recommendation to hotel- maybe put a beer or two in the fridge or small bottle of wine. The live bands by the main bar were of decent quality (not some cheap rubbish on a keyboard). Beach can get busy in morning, but mid-late afternoon is pleasant. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Europe and there have always been some negatives and positives on each. If you want perfect, go Mauritius or Caribbean, but you will pay through the nose for the luxury!! Yes, there are dogs and cats that live on the grounds, but all friendly and even looked after by the hotel staff with food, water etc. You even have option to bring your pet if you wish. Technical team always on hand to sort any issues, we had an air con problem, we let the team know and they were straight on it to fix! A little refurb on the rooms in the future, make sure the cocktails are strong and you have an amazing hotel on your hands!!.

Overall, we had a fantastic holiday here and would definitely consider coming back!
By the way, go careful in Bodrum if you visit! Absolute rip off! Makes you appreciate the hotel more when you return!! Not much around the hotel, which is common for a big 5 star hotel. Some local restaurants if you want to eat out for a night and a local carrefour for some cheap snack etc. we are VERY fussy with hotels, so please don’t be put off by any negative reviews!

I would like to start with positive stuff.
The personnel -especially at the front desk, reception and valets- are very friendly and helpful.
The facilities overall is good; the beach, the pool is great. Rooms are a little outdated and the eating area was a little bit hot.
The wi-fi coverage and seamless connection overall the entire area is pretty satisfactory.
Now comes the negative stuff. The rooms are outdated but not besetting. However the bathrooms are quite old and even after cleaning they look dirty due to worn out grouting.
As usual, the mini bar in the room is only cooling itself but not any drinks in it..
And the worst was the smell in the bathroom. Most probably due to the sewage system the bathroom had a horrible smell when not used for a while.. If you let the air ventilation in bathroom run for an hour or two, the smell is almost gone but since you are out all day, the ventilation is not functioning so you end up having a smelly bathroom.
The drainage of the sink was blocked, no one cared to open it so we had to let it do it's job slowly over an hour instead of seconds.
It is extremely hard to find cold drinking water after dinner, so if you are not prepared, sadly you are stuck with room temperature water, which is not good in a hot summer night.
The range of food being served is pretty wide but they all taste the same.. I would prefer having 2 or 3 types of main course which actually tastes like whatever they are instead of having 8 different main courses..
And the facilities to entertain kids after dinner is not adequate. There should be more activities.
To sum it up; you expect to have a lot better service for a place where you pay a month's minimum wage per night. With the outdated rooms/bathrooms and poor taste in food being served I can give 6 out of 10 at most. I would go lower but I really liked the staff, so I'll keep it at 6.
I would specifically want to thank the staff who works at the front desk and valet service.
