We stayed overnight at Letsatsi on our trip from Cape Town to JHB and found that the extra hour of travel time was well worth it!
Letsatsi offered friendly service, comfortable chalets with great views and a great pool and playground for kids to run around after hours in the car. The restaurant bears special mention. Our dinner was excellent and exceeded our expectations.
We will definitely be back.

It was for a christmas break just to get away from everything. We wanted to go to some remote area which is not a true holiday setup, on a farm or something. The other requirement was that we did not want to see too many people and a placecwhere we could also enjoy some food.

We had a very enjoyable night in very pleasant surroundings. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would have appreciated some crockery and cutlery in the room, as we did not wish to dine in the restaurant after a long drive. We also felt breakfast could have been an hour earlier, to facilitate an earlier departure. However, we did enjoy our visit, and the herd of Sable was an unexpected treat. We also enjoyed the Emu.

We stayed in a 4 sleeper chalet and were honestly disgusted by the state that the chalet was in when we arrived. The dustbins weren't emptied out and had rubbish in the kitchen and bathrooms left by the previous tenants. The shower looked like ot hadn't been cleaned at all, with soap scum and body hair on the walls & floor. Overall dust everywhere and left over hard food on the cutlery & crockery. To top if off the aircon remotes were broken there was missing crockery (not even 4 bowls for the 4 people we booked for). Don't stay here if you value personal hygiene.

We stopped for a night in the tented camp on our way past on a road trip from Gauteng to the Western Cape. Even though we were the only guests in the lodge that night they insisted on opening the restaurant for us where we were served a top class meal by the friendliest waiters! We enjoyed it so much that we decided to stop there again on our return trip! We chose to stay in a chalet the second time, as the weather was quite cold, and were again very impressed with the experience. Amongst the abundance of antelope we also saw giraffes, zebras and warthogs along the road to the lodge so the whole experience was perfect!

Room Tip: We had no cellphone reception at the tented camp but the lodge and chalets had good reception.

We overnighted at Letsatsi on route to Rhodes. Our very comfortable chalet was well equipped with a comfortable bed, sheets, electrical blanket and aircon. We enjoyed sundowners on our veranda overlooking a waterhole where large quantities of animals were grazing. Alex and his team made feel special and ensured that we enjoyed excellent dinner and breakfast at the main lodge. A little bit of a female touch overall will go a far way to improve the already excellent service. Definitely highly recommended.

Our second time. Friendly staff. Nice units, but deteriorating. We hired three units one double and two singles. Aircon did not work in one of the singles. Reported the matter and were initially told to use the fan which also did not work, They later tried to fix it but couldn't Brought another fan. Showers would be nice in the small units. baths are OK but on a hot summer night we tried to shower with hand shower. Toilets were not clean in all the units. Evidence of previous tenant remaining. No toilet brushes in units. Scorpion in the bath in one unit and one found running across the floor in another. Restaurant served nice food, but my wife ordered off the menu but was told to go and "build a burger" at the counter. Nice place but needs better attention to cleanliness and maintenance. We are debating whether it warrants going there again.

Stayed over on a trip from PE to JHB. It was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, staff were very well trained and polite. Beautiful scenery and lots of animals. Well worth a visit. It is off the main road on sand fit a few kms though

I deliberately chose this location for some R&R. Was truly relaxing. Chalets are charming and well set up. It was winter and the electric blankets are nice, even though the chalets were not really cold.

The main building is really well designed. The view overlooking a water hole is good if the animals cooperated and drank from it :-) There were some animals wandering around the area but a little too far for the camera.

The game drive was interesting to see the different animals and while you may not get too close, it is fine as they are not in a zoo and are wild.

Worth a stay.

Staff were friendly and covid trained and made sure that people were happy with their stay.

We had a great time at Letsatsi, the staff was professional and friendly and went out of their way to treat us like VIP’s. The lodge is beautiful, rooms clean and spacious, and the setting is spectacular. We didn’t do a game drive, because the animals visit the waterhole in front of the lodge throughout the day, we could just relax and enjoy the scenery all day long. Finally, the restaurant is a real treat, the chef creates the most beautiful food, and it was absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful time at Letsatsi!
