We returned for our second stay in this hotel on the way back from a stay at the Baltic Sea. Due to the corona situation, things were a little different than our first visit, but we still loved the warm welcome and helpful staff. Our room on the 2nd floor was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a delicious dinner In the restaurant, and breakfast was prepared to order. Hand sanitisers were available in all public areas and and all staff wore masks consistently.

We travelled 500km and back to stay one night here. We had never heard of either Ludwigslust or the hotel but I’m sure we will be back. The hotel is in an historic building, beautifully renovated and furnished, but it the welcome we received that really shines - both staff and proprietress were warm and helpful, as if we were old friends. The food at the evening event we attended was delicious, and service exemplary - right down to the “traditional” nightcap drunk in company of the other guests outside on the bridge at the end of the street (warm blankets provided). Our room was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent- fresh, varied and tasty.

Very nice friendly staff. Nice clean room. Breakfast was prepared with a lot of love. Was only one night in Ludwigslust and will probably come back next year with my wife.
I felt very comfortable!

Nicely renovated hotel with a top restaurant downstairs. The room was big, the staff very friendly. the hotel sits right near the castle and its complex with a famous watterfall, park and church. It is very quiet and offers a restful stay. The conference rooms we walked by, appeared well appointed. The breakfast buffet was good and featured self made and locally made delecacies. An upper end venue where we had not expected to find one.

Hotel de Weimar is a beautiful, comfortable hotel located in the small town of Ludwigslust. Given the size of the town, it was a delight to find such a charming hotel with incredible rooms and some of the sweetest, friendliest staff you would ever want to encounter. Their restaurant is run by a top-notch chief and deserves five stars!

This hotel in the center of Ludwigslust is good.
Which means that it is easy to access, has lots of parking space,
friendly staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast.
The only thing was that at our visit it felt deserted, with long
empty corridors and absolutely no "home" feeling.

We arrived there one sunday afternoon only to be told that this is the hotel's day off. Luckily we had booked a room beforehand and so had a place to sleep, if not to eat dinner at. The room was quiet and cosy and after a good night's sleep we had a very good breakfast in beautiful surroundings. Staff was really very friendly and helpful.

Ludwigslust is a beautiful town - historic center, castle, gardens - and this hotel is right in the (very quite) center of it! Restaurant is excellent, service is great.

One major problem for me was that the wifi was not working properly, dropping out all the time, requiring me to dial into the Deutsche Telekom Hotspot again and again.
I had to attend a few online business meetings and the fact that this wast not really possible was, well, not good. Therefore only 3 stars.

We were attending a horse event locally so didn't pay much attention to booking our hotel but what a lucky guess we made. The hotel is very nicely decorated and is only a stones throw from the castle. There is a really nice ambience i. I really expect free wifi in the room in 2015 the hotel but what sets this place apart is the food. It's absolutely superb. Even the breakfast was exceptional with lots of little hand made dishes. We will certainly go back to this lovely little hotel.
Do I have any complaints? There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom and wifi is extra and fiddly to sign up for. I do

This family- run boutique hotel is centrally located- about 2 minutes from the castle with its beautiful gardens- well worth a visit all year round. The look of this small hotel is spotless- unfortunately the food and service do not match. But this, we found, is quite typical for this region of Germany- where upscale fine quality dining is literally unheard of. Service has a personal note- but can be markedly unhurried and seems a tad out of sync at best. The food is totally average- please do not expect too much. The main seating area is in a conservatory with glass ceiling- alas no aircon- so it gets hot during summer time. There is ample free parking in front and in the backyard. In a nutshell: a nice looking place- the food and service mismatch. Prices are comperatively modest and affordable. We like fine dining- so we will look elsewhere. To be improved.
