We were a group of 18 cousins going on our annual break away. the place exceeded our expectations of a working farm! we loved every second of being there. From the very first drive inside the gate (seeing animals so close up) to finally stopping at our spot for the weekend.

We really loved being away from the hustle and bustle and enjoying nature in its natural state. The luxury tent was kitted out with exactly what we needed. The staff on the premises was friendly and Hannes, the manager, was superb. We will definitely be back and have been recommending Buffalo Drift to everyone we know!

This house was a fantastic stay with a big group of friends! It is simple and rustic yet has everything you need, so perfect for kids and pets to come along. The views from the deck (which is a short private path over the sand dune) is absolutely phenomenal. It would be nice to have some furniture on the deck...

I had some difficulty encouraging Esther to help us make a booking after I received an initial blunt reply saying "Sorry no availability". Feeling like I was doing her job asking for information about what dates they had available or how flexible they were. On arrival we were greeted by some farm workers that were repairing a fence that runs...

The luxury tents are not built to withstand wind (yet Buffalo Drift is located next to Tulbagh wind farm). The tent is so unstable it rocked the bunk bed so badly my child kept falling off the top bunk (no guard rail) and our groceries and wine kept falling off the cupboard. We were terrified, we thought the tent was...

This was not really what we expected. The kitchen consists of a table with basin and all the crockery and cutlery were stacked on the drying rack, no packing space. The pots and pans were stacked on the stove, if you want to use the stove we had to put it on the floor because there was no other space....

I thoroughly enjoyed the stay except for a few little things that irritated me daily. They are all so easily rectified and for the life of me I can not understand that they were not seen to before. Firstly the huge water container on the only piece of working space was ridiculous. It was so heavy filled with water that...

Had a great time - Hannes really made an effort to make our stay comfortable and has loads of patience with our children. I do think though, the communication via email prior to our stay could've been more detailed and friendlier... The tent was great, but perhaps instead of 2 cans of air freshener for the 1 bathroom, a can...

I would highly recommend Buffalo Drift. The accommodation was great and staff was efficient and friendly. Esther was amazing....went above and beyond. This is the 2nd time we booked at the Fort. The place is well maintained.
