On offer at this neat working farm with wheat, vines, olives, sheep and cattle are 3 luxury self-catering cottages all fronted by an open vista of green fields merging into blue mountains – an appealing contrast of the soft and rugged. The cottages are light and airy, fully equipped and decorated in natural hues and textures. Wide windows and double doors drench the interior in light, terracotta floors inject the rustic country edge, offset by warm sisal mats, natural cream curtains, crisp white linen and thick duvets. All have indoor fireplaces, making for cozy winters in a corner of the world where snow on the nearby mountains isn't uncommon. On the other hand, if you’re dropping in during the summer months you’ll be thrilled to know the units have air-con and overhead fans, as well as easy access to a swimming pool (with lapa).

Our guests enjoyed their stay at Eikelaan cottages. The host communicated well and there was never confusion on how to get in, what to do, etc. The ideal location and base to stay for any Tulbagh getaway. The braai facilities were used and came in very handy for our guests

The farm has an onsite shop to get your fresh organic veg grown on the farm as well as snacks and free range meet. Friendly staff and they have a generator when the power goes out courtesy of eskom. Would definitely visit again. My Jack Russell had a great time as well

We planned a last minute weekend away with family friends and 4 kids (ranging from 1 - 7). The stay was divine, all staff on-site friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help and advise on things to do in the area! Definitely on the list to visit again in the near future 😊😊😊😊 thank you Lynette and team! Rockstars!

We had booked this property as a stayover for my mum who was needing to be at the hospital nearby early the next morning. The day of booking the property the owner called after 9pm to enquire where the payment was to which we explained it was purchased on hotels.com AND that the trip was for my SICK mother. After struggling to find someone to assist us on arrival we we where taken to our cottage. The cottage had an overpowering smell of room spray that burnt your eyes. it was very clear that they where trying to cover up another smell in the cottage. Within minutes we noticed huge amounts of mold in the cottage & made the decision to leave. we went to reception where again nobody was situated & so we left. our sibling later made contact with the property that day to which we where advised that WE where the problem and not the establishment and that they'd never been treated this badly before. We later called the property owner to discuss the matter where we where met with a highly emotional woman explaining what she was currently going through and how she was not able to deal with the matter at hand. We sent messages with the images of the establishment and where again met with nothing. It has been a month since our stay & the owner refuses to take accountability for the state of the property despite us reaching out numerous times. we would not recommend this property to anyone for any length of stay. It is unclean & the owner is very unfriendly &Â unprofessional.

Wonderful rustic cottages positioned on a beautiful farm close to Tulbagh. Stunning views of the mountains and Canola fields. Farm animals and outside play-area, braai lapa with pool and small shop for anything you might need. Friendly, helpful staff. The 2 bedroom cottage is very spacious and has a awesome hot tub. Absolutely worth it, surrounded by beauty, nature at its best! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would love to return :)

This is a beautiful cottage with a stoep and views over the fields to the surrounding mountains. During the day we walked the fields, went to historical Tulbagh and read in the sun on the stoep or in the cozy lounge. In the evenings we cooked with fresh veggies right from the farm and spent more time reading in front of the fireplace. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended escape from city life.

We spent 2 nights in our cottage overlooking the farm lands. Nice and quiet. Bonus was the HOT tub - which actually worked very well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was clean and comfortable (Maybe a little more attention to minor detail such as a loose tap and stove plates not working .. which did not detract from the overall pleasant experience). Will stay there again.

The cottage was beautiful, neat and tidy with air-conditioning. There is a play area for children with swings, slides etc and a pool. We had a great time, especially the kids. The garden is also very pretty and well maintained, with a large lawn for the children to play on.
