Love Tulbagh with its beautiful streets of old Cape Dutch houses. Stayed in a beautiful room across the street from the hotel in one of the restored Cape Dutch houses. Beautifully laid out with lots of space. Ate our dinner under the stars at the hotel and had a wonderful breakfast on the hotel veranda. Highly recommend a visit to...

Stayed at the hotel during a wedding weekend. Great rooms, very serviceminded and friendly staff and fresh food. Tulbagh is small but there is stuff to do around the area, we went on a walk to a close by waterfall.

We had a very pleasant supper, nothing to fancy but well presented and the soup was excellent, I had the steak, which was fine and my friend had lamb pie, was delicious. Staff were very friendly and service very good. Will recommend it for a good meal in Tulbagh.

We stayed over 1 night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The attention to detail at every aspect was flawless, both in the rooms and the dining experience. We stayed in the main hotel, but they also offer accommodation in historic buildings across the road. The rooms are tastefully designed and extremely well appointed. The restaurant is called the Olive Terrace...

These people at the Tulbagh know their business. We arrived late after 20;00 and the lady was able to negotiate a price from their normal rates to accommodate us. 1. It was value for money 2. Excellent service The only thing I can worth criticize is parking in the street

Dear Francois many thanks for your review and comments. We do have a garage at the hotel which is available on request. When the town was built in the early 19th century, cars didn't feature, so we have to make the most of what we have. Hope you will find the time to return soon Alasdair

The people in Tulbagh are renowned for their warmth and easygoing hospitality and I could see why. Since the moment we arrived at The Tulbagh Boutique Heritage hotel, we were transported from the chaos of city life to a world of lush comfort and elegant hospitality. The friendly receptionist checked us into a beautiful room in one of the manors...

The main hotel building dates from 1859 & offers a range of contemporary-styled luxurious rooms. The Winterhoek Manor(1813) and the Toll House(1809), opposite the hotel, are two of the heritage properties in Church Street, offering charming period rooms. Individual décor and fine cotton linen adorning four poster beds. Chandeliers on yellowwood beamed ceilings. Our Honeymoon Suite is the jewel in our crown. Crafted from the old wagon shed, this suite oozes romantic charm. Open thatch, two fireplaces, bath and shower for two. There are three pool areas, free Wi-Fi throughout and an in-house beauty therapist. All areas have air conditioning and there are cosy wood-burning fires for winter evenings.
