The rooms were excellent. service was excellent. Location was excellent. Foos and staff were out of this world and friendly. Closeness to the city a big plus point for the property. Alternative to load shedding in place.

Went to eat there with family. The food was fantastic as i had the sirloin steak. Ordered it blue and the fat was rendered to excellence. Their Craft beer was also on point with the portions being well sized. I would highly recommend this place to anyone touring through the cape or anyone just in the area.

Dear Matt many thanks for your visit and kind review. We source as much of our produce as possible from local suppliers, and that includes our draft, craft beers which our brewed with a passion by our local optometrist Rod Buchanan. He brews an extensive range of beers, from stout to pale ales, and they are only available in the Tulbagh valley. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future Alasdair

This is a gem in the Western Cape. Beautifully appointed rooms and spaces with spa and pool. The best part is the friendly, yet professional staff and the delicious food served in the restaurant. From breakfast to dinner, everything is so flavourful, generous and presented beautifully. Rooms have lots of little extra touches

Tulbagh Hotel is simply amazing. So many hotels proclaim to have customer interests at heart but that is mostly just lip service. Tulbagh Hotel really is customer centric. Absolutely fantastic service and the rooms are functional and well maintained. Everything worked as expected. Well done to Tulbagh Hotel and management. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!

We stayed at the heritage rooms. Lovely accommodation, renovated to meet modern simple comfort. The service was great. The hotel restaurant Bistro’s food is very good. We enjoyed breakfast outside both on the front terrace and in the court yard. Best was chilling at the cosy clean pools. Thanks. We’ll be back.

Dear Maboyamia many thanks for your visit and taking the time to leave your valued review. 8 of our 18 rooms are heritage are categorised as heritage, in two national monuments dating from the early 1800s. These rooms all feature four poster beds, yellow wood floors and the two heritage suites, Obiqua and the Honeymoon suite have cosy fireplaces. But for the balmy days of summer all our rooms feature modern, quiet inverter air conditioning systems. Hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon Alasdair

We managed to get a room last minute after botched planned stay at a nearby place. The host staff were so kind and quick to help us, happy to show us all rooms available to take our pick. The rooms are thoughtfully put together with everything needed. Comfy beds with turn down and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The location is perfectly placed and super easy to get around the hotel. Will definitely look to stay there again and not both with other spots in Tulbagh.
