Our recent stay in The Cape Dutch Quarters Country Guesthouse was delightful - located in the perfect spot in Tulbach, in the middle of this historical and architectural gem of a town-centre. The room was comfortable and spacious, private, and felt like a little home-from-home.

Very beautiful farm with a stunning view. It is a working farm as mentioned, so was prepared for the farm noises of quad bikes, tractors and farm workers. The farm dogs however made it unpleasant especially at night when the one dog keeps barking till midnight and the other 2 small dogs from the manager barks you awake in front of your house at 6am. The house is not cleaned, find a lot of daddy long legs with webs in bedrooms and downstairs. Had to fix the gate myself to keep the 2 small dogs from entering our house. Nice walk ways to dams and a small mountain river.

Hi Lothar, we are sorry that your stay was unpleasant due to the dogs on the farm. We will surely attend to that issue. Glad that you enjoyed the walks to the dams and small river. We had huge storms in Tulbagh, reason for the gate that needed to be fixed as we apologize that you fix it when you were there, surely our maintenance guys would have done that. However we thank you for that. Trust you will visit again. You are always welcome back. Kindest regards Charmaine Regards Charmaine

The room that we booked does not have a broom , a mop and kitchen dish towels to use once you cook

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The setup is neat and thoughtful with comfort to add. A step into time past. We will visit again. Also really enjoyed the quaint little town of Tulbach with its rich history.

The service at Cape Dutch Quarters is excellent. The reception gave us all the information that we needed and was on call at all times. The accommodation is pristine. Authentic Victorian interior made us feel at home. The weather was great and we spent time in the garden and hiking in the mountains. We were treated like family.
