Beautiful country setting with an excellent breakfast and friendly hosts. Close enough to the wine farms but far enough from the bustle of the 'city'. I stayed in the "honeymoon" suite which was private, had excellent views and was industrial chic. I had a bath with garden views which was amazing and an intimate lounge with a fireplace. You are in the country so be prepared be creepy crawleys and flies.

We had such a lovely time at Essere Lodge. Booking in was seamless with clear communication from Carmen. The rooms and property are beautiful and makes you feel relaxed on arrival. Peter and Arthur were amazing hosts going out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. We spent one evening having drinks with them and it was incredible to see how well they interacted with the individual guests and made everyone feel at home. We will definitely be returning soon.
