It's not our first visit - and certainly not our last. The Thierseerhof delights us every time we visit with its pleasantly relaxed atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, very good food and rooms in which you can comfortably spend even a rainy day. Our favorite retreat in the mountains!

Rarely has a hotel surprised us so positively as the Thierseerhof! The half-board meals are on top level, our room was quiet, spacious and tastefully modern. The staff, including the "holiday jobbers" were always friendly, charming and helpful. You can tell the house's good conduct. We will definitely be back:-)

Wonderful feel-good hotel, lovingly and modernly furnished, super spacious, wood-scented rooms with very comfortable beds. The food was excellent at star level and the service staff was extremely courteous and warm (with the exception of the landlady, who was mostly grumpy and rather rude; she should take a leaf out of her book from her staff). Very nice, well-kept wellness area and beautiful garden. We felt very comfortable and spent a relaxing girls' weekend there; after our hikes we were able to relax wonderfully in the hotel.

What a hospitable atmosphere! We immediately felt at home and were warmly welcomed. The wellness area is beautiful and very appealing. Delicious regional cuisine with that certain something! We were very satisfied with the price-performance ratio. We would love to come back.

Sometimes it is better not to do a write up of such hidden jewels, as this is the reason that makes this place so exceptional. It would however be unfair not to. Completely of the beaten path you find this wonderful family hotel to escape the major sites. You will definitely need a car to get here.
We were here during summer for the first time together with our toddler after a friends recommendation. What we found was a peaceful hotel and most children friendly staff. The owners run this hotel over 40 years and still do this with passion. Just recently, in 2017, the entire hotel has been remodeled with large glass windows and bright areas.
We booked room with dinner included which was amazing. 4 courses with a selection of main dish. Food served is typical Austrian style, but high quality.
If you plan to come here remember to book in advance, it isn't so easy, since many locals and Germans are already regular guests.
By the way, winter time must be fabulous too, since there is a "children" suitable lift directly next to the hotel terrace.

Stayed for 3 nights as a group of 6 friends for hiking and cycling. The hotel proved a superb base for two amazing walks, one from the hotel to the Pendling hut, and one a short drive away in the Wilder Kaiser. For cycling, the hotel arranged bikes for 4 of us, and we cycled from the hotel into the mountains behind for a superb ride. The options around this hotel are outstanding.
The hotel was perfect: - Refurbished bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable - Great food, with a buffet breakfast and waiter service dinner. Very friendly staff. - Pool and sauna/spa to unwind - Great location for the mountains, with boot room etc. for storing kit after a rainy day on the hills - Great beer and plenty of schnapps in a relaxed bar to end the day - Small shop in the town
The traditional hotel blended well with the new rooms to provide a perfect base, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at all times.
Hope to return soon.
