The Masada has become my home away from home during multiple business trips both last year as well as during lock-down. Efficient, Friendly, and extremely hospitable are just some of the words to summarize my overall experience with Masada. Friendly and professional staff are rare yet Dave seems to have the key staff in their key roles and all I have met so far hold the same standards from good leadership. After working extended hours it is always a pleasure to come home to a hearty plate of home cooked, high quality food.
In my opinion and from my personal experience, I would highly recommend using the Masada guest house for either business or leisure travel for both short and long term stays. The staff always go above and beyond to assist with any queries or requests.

If I have to stay overnight in Langebaan the Masada Guest House is always my first choice. It is clean, comfortable and has everything I need to make me feel at home. The staff are brilliant so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served fresh and is delicious. The location is perfect for me close to all the attractions but without the nuisance of noise. A real home from home.

Thanks to the friendly and helpful staff at the beautiful Masada Guest House, where they go the extra mile to make their guests feel at home away from home. They sorted my accommodation on very short notice and personalized the welcome and room setup. Always a pleasure to stay there.

The guest house is marketed as a B+B; only to realize when we got there that the cost did not include breakfast. Even though the cost for the 2 night stay was the same as if breakfast was offered; and R600 more on the long weekend. Even though it was pointed out that "no meals included" one did expect to have breakfast. Did not include any cleaning of the rooms/ making of beds/ change of lines/ towels after the first night stay.

A beautiful guest house situated on a hill with breath taking views. From the moment we stepped into the Guest house we were welcomed by Dave and his wife as well as Jenni who assisted us with our bookings. When Dave heard it was our anniversary weekend he upgraded our room. We felt so at home and it was truly a good place for us to relax and spend some quality time. The breakfast was great and was nice chatting to the Chef Shaun and Dave in the morning. We really felt like family catching up around the breakfast table. Thank you for all you did to make our weekend special. Will definitely visit again.

An unbelievable warm welcoming from the Masada Team on arrival. One immediately felt at home away from home. I was travelling on business with three international guests and Dave immediately asked if he could braai for them and introduce my guests to a true South African Braai with hospitality. Thank you Dave my guests still talk about it. What an unbelievable stay from the food to the accomodation and most importantly the personal attention from yourself. I would recommend anyone travelling or staying in the surrounding area to stay over at Masada Guest House. Thank you Dave and Masada Team for an unbelievable stay.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The bathrooms are clean. The basics are all there. Great! So what makes this exceptional?
One morning you will catch yourself walking into breakfast in your shorts. One evening the manager, Dave, will sit at your table and you will chat as if you were old friends, You will have a favour and Val will go out of her way to try and assist.
That is what this guest house is, it is not a boutique hotel, a stuffy lodge, nor a grand hotel. It is a guest house where 'guests' are more like friends. Where requests becomes a familial act that one would do for any member of the family. I have often found that being vegan throws up hassles, but not here.
The chef, Shawn, has gone out of his way to produce tasty and varied meals that are a delight for the eyes, entice the taste-buds, and appeasing of appetites.
This is a cliché, but I honestly cannot recommend the Masada Guest House enough

I spent two weeks at Masada Guest House to go birding in the West Coast region. The owners and staff did their best to make my stay enjoyable, starting with a rich "personalized" breakfast every morning. I can highly recommend the place for peaceful holidays. Many thanks to Dave, Val and Shawn!

I was very disappointed with my room, it was very dark with no light coming in. There was a small window next to the door that's pointed towards the corridor (no view or sun coming through) I messaged the whatsapp line the morning of checkout the know where to drop the keys, message was read and ignored. I had to walk around to find a staff member to give the keys to. Staff is friendly, but I was disappointed due to the mentioned points.

Hello Johnny, we are so sorry that the unit was not up to your standards. As far as the keys go, You handed to key to Jenni who was busy cleaning the room next door to you, so there was no need to reply to your message as the keys were already handed in. Your message unfortunately came through during peak breakfast time of the group booking that you were part of. I speak under correction but we had 32 breakfasts at that time. Once again, please accept our apologies. Kind regards, Val
