We were very pleasantly surprised with the upkeep and the attention to detail within the chalet - you have thought of everything from a knife sharpener to a heater in every space including the delicious smell of fresh blankets and sheets - not the usual hotel laundry detergent! We loved having our own braai & a garage for our car! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The location and activities at the resort were amazing. The reason for not giving a 5 rating was the unit we got was old and desperately needs to be upgraded. We walked past others and noticed they were all refurbished. Please do refurbish unit 452 as well. You pay so much but the unit was not representative of the cost outlay. The kitchen draws don’t work properly, old cupboards and the bathroom needs an upgrade too. Secondly there is no aircon and the one ceiling fan in the lounge makes no difference at all. We literally thought the highest speed was the lowest but that was not the case. I requested a fan on arrival but was told there were none and had to go buy my own. Also the cleaning crew did not clean the outside area, floor, table nor braai. We had to repeatedly ask for this to be done.
Now for the positives! The resort has such awesome entertainment, the most amazing location and views, the beach and pools were amazing plus they have amazing restaurants. The cherry on top was the kids club for my little ones. They literally did not want to leave Club Onos. We had an amazing time for our new years family holiday at Club Mykonos. There were some noisy neighbours and unfortunately we could not close up the sliding door due to the heat but it was new years after all.

We spent 7 nights at the resort and were really very pleased with the stay. There is a great deal of entertainment for the children and a variety of great restaurants on site. The on site sports shop was great for getting swimming gear for the children. I found the on site supermarket pricey, rather make the short trip to Woolworths/mall close by. The drop and collect service from the Laguna Laundry was excellent - R7 per kg for wash, dry and iron is incredibly good value. I found that some of the knives were not sharp and the tin opener was very old and rusty. The kitchen cabinets had a musty/damp smell and so next time I will book in the newer sections of the resort. The light provided for loadshedding is very useful. I would have appreciated more channels on DSTV. We enquired about childminding costs - I think R100 per hour is excessive. We were very pleased when at night we complained about noise and the security sorted it out immediately. The spa treatments were good value however i think the spa is due for some modernisation. Overall, a really great stay for the whole family.

We booked a Kaliva unit as two married couples with one infant. We have visited the resort on multiple occasions, for many years, and always received a topper to convert the twin beds into a queen sized bed - for a married couple to sleep in. We were not granted this service upon request but were instead met with an unpleasant manager and unpleasant staff. We were told that we could not get a topper because the unit is advertised for 2 adults and 2 kids. But there is a sign inside the unit that states max 4 adults and 2 kids. This is a double standard. When booking online we entered 4 adults and 1 infant. If this was not allowed then the site should have notified us - which was not done. We should also be able to choose specific units to avoid disappointment considering how expensive the rates have gotten. We had to fight to get proper service regarding our requests and eventually received linen to put across the two beds 3-4 hours after check in. This linen did not serve its purpose at all, as you can imagine, and we ended up sleeping separately as a married couple. We called multiple times to reception for the linen as the staff kept bringing up everything else we requested except the linen. We also requested drying up clothes, which was not present in the kitchen. There was also no sponges to wash up with when needed. We also requested a cot for the infant which was completely unsuitable. It was a cot for a toddler, so it was too deep for the infant and a safety hazard. The toddler cot was subsequently not used. The staff who brought it up, as well as the staff who brought the linen, were unpleasant and grumpy and did not greet us back when we greeted them upon entry. The unit itself is not located accessibly, especially for a new mom and dad travelling with their infant child, along with prams and baby bags. She had undergone a c-section a month ago and was not assisted in reaching the unit nor provided a unit that was more accessible as per our request. The unit also needs some TLC as finishes are sub-par. The bedrooms do not have fans and considering the heat in the west coast, this is an oversight on behalf of the resort. A portable fan was requested but we could not be assisted in that regard. Ultimately, our experience was a waste of money and incredibly disappointing. Especially considering that we and our families have been visiting club Mykonos for years, my husband and I even got engaged here. The resort failed us in terms of their service. We will be leaving a review on other platforms as well as telling our families about our unpleasant experience. I do hope the level of service improves, otherwise the resort is not be worthy of being called a premium 4 star resort. It can also not be called a family resort location, given that there are no changing tables in the unit nor in the male bathrooms. Men change diapers too

Dearest Guest, thank you very much for your review. We are so sorry that you had such a negative experience at our resort as noted. We assure you we never want any guest to leave the resort feeling disappointed with their stay. This is why we work so hard to ensure our guests have a magical family friendly experience. We completely understand your frustration wanting to sleep next to your husband, and we totally comprehend your disappointment. In truth, you were informed when you booked that we cannot combine the 2 single beds into a king bed. This information was provided to you well in advance of your arrival at our resort. That is not the layout of our 2 bedroom units. The layout of all our 2 bedroom units is with the king sized bed in the main room, 2 single beds in the second room and 2 couches in the lounge for the kids. The second room is not equipped to have a king bed and we do not offer the service of a conversion. The entire confusion with the bedding came in because the staff tried to accommodate you in different ways. The unit was located just a few meters from the parking, the parking area was right behind your unit. While we completely understand the difficulty in being a new mom with an infant, it is not the hospitality standard to have different sized baby cots, and it is not the hospitality standard to have a baby changing station in the bathrooms. The unit descriptions and what they entail is provided on our website. We definitely wish that this was not the situation and that you and your family could have had a memorable experience with us and we are truly grateful for your support. We love the fact that you got engaged at our resort, that is so special to us and we would not want this to have been the last part of your love story with us. We booked Kaliva 595 through Lekkerslaap. On arrival we were not booked in on the system and Mykonos had no information regarding our stay although we booked and paid Lekkerslaap in advance. The staff at Lekkerslaap, Agent Roxanne sorted it out swiftly and contacted me to confirm that everything was sorted at reception. I still feel that it all should have been confirmed via Lekkerslaap as they did the booking and I paid them. Club Mykonos was really nice, the Kaliva was clean. The safety was a problem as we couldn't leave windows open at night as it has no burglar bars and the one window in the lounge opens up onto someone else balcony who can easily climb through our window on the top floor. We were also not informed that we need to take a tag with us to enter the pool area and the indoor pool area. We had to pay R50 for a swimming cap at the indoor pool as you are not allowed to swim without a cap. Information we wished we knew as we could have brought our own swimming caps with. The staff is very friendly and helpful even the cleaning staff. We were assisted with a porter to carry all our luggage from the top floor to the car. Very efficient. Kaliva 595 is close to the conference area so work groups were booked there and partied till early hours of the morning, drinking and shouting right outside our kaliva. They were a very rowdy crowd - about 300 people that attended the conference - both nights we were there.

We were told it's regularly booked and full. So it can be noisy at times.

The kaliva gets cleaned every day but they don't refill the toilet paper or the coffee and tea. So good to bring extra with you. The facilities are good and clean and the restaurants such as Dockside at the marina had good food at affordable prices.

Bear in mind the kaliva is on the top floor so a lot of stairs to climb. We were not aware of this and my elderly friend struggled to get up and down the many stairs. There is also Tuks Tuks to take you around the property - it's R10 per person. We just used our car to get to the casino or to the indoor pool. We walked to the beach and outdoor pool. The restaurants is 2min away. There is also a cafe on the premises that is open till 10pm. If you want to braai rather buy your meat from the shops at the mall that is 5min away. The meat is not a wide variety and it doesn't look very tasty. Other things to buy like milk, water, sweets etc is convenient. The grounds also has a tennis court, squash, spa, putt putt and other sporty amenities. The highlight is the private beach, the outdoor pool, the indoor pool, the restaurants that were so close as well as having the mall 5min away. There is a designated parking spot but hauling your luggage pass the shop and up the stairs is a mission. Reception staff is very helpful, you dial 5 and you can make a request and they will try to accommodate you.

Kindly note that the unit you occupied is privately owned. We do not rent out this unit, the owner does private rentals. You should have received all the necessary details on a confirmation letter from Lekkeslaap regarding the basic rules and procedures of the resort. Please query this with them if you did not, as this was a private booking. We are a self-catering resort, the amenities such as coffee and milk are only issued on arrival. The toilet paper should have been replaced though, our sincere apologies. We have a 24 hour phone line available for any assistance needed. We had a large conference group checked in, we are so sorry for the noise disturbance as noted. Do yourself a favor and avoid this resort like the plague. From the moment we checked in, it was clear the staff had zero interest in providing any sort of hospitality. It’s almost as if they’re trained to be rude, dismissive, and utterly unhelpful. The front desk staff acted like answering basic questions was a chore, and forget about asking for anything extra—towels, room service, directions—you’ll be lucky if you even get a response, let alone the right answer.

The wait staff in the restaurants? Equally disinterested. You’ll spend more time trying to get their attention than you will enjoying your meal (which, by the way, is mediocre at best). If you dare to express dissatisfaction, prepare to be met with blank stares, sarcasm, or worse, complete indifference. It's as if the entire resort's motto is ‘We couldn’t care less.’

And don’t even bother trying to speak to management. They’re conveniently *always* ‘unavailable,’ leaving you to deal with the apathetic staff who clearly couldn’t care less about your stay. Honestly, I’ve experienced better service at fast food drive-thrus than at this so-called ‘resort.’

This place is a total scam, and it’s honestly shocking they’re still in business. Save yourself the frustration, disappointment, and money—*never* come here. You’ll regret every second of it

The reception is friendly and hospitality is top notch. The daily cleaning staff helps to make the stay enjoyable. The units needs a facelift for maintenance as it looks a bit rundown and neglected. The pool is clean and noise is well managed, although neighbours can be loud when returning at night. Remember to close the curtains for privacy!

Very disappointed how management handle our situation. Every night after our day on the beach or spend on the premises we would return back to our kaliva I would then place all my sons toys in a bag in the lounge. On the 27th of June 2024 as we were about to go out after the cleaners came to clean our kaliva I was on my way to fetch the toys to spend time at the beach just to realize that the toys are missing. Now no one comes in the kaliva beside my family that has a key and the cleaners that come in. I reported to management band housekeeping and lost and found offices none was able to assist me. Me looking all over the kaliva in our bags for this big bag of toys and it's gone. Management just said sorry they can't see on cameras if it was taken obviously because the cleaners take dirty towels and dirty bins outside its easy to just drop in and carry away. So this is just a heads up if you go to make sure you Lock up everything and make sure of ur things that's around u no matter how small it is it's not safe in the kaliva.

We had very rowdy neighbours upstairs and it made our stay very unpleasant. Hardly anyone will read the welcome letter so will not see the rules. Our neighbours upstairs were so loud playing music right through the day and in the night with their music center. They were banging things around and dragging furniture till late morning hours and early in the mornings. We could barely sleep. They were partying on both nights that I had to call for security. You should highlight noise pollution upon arrival as no-one reads the letter. Inform guests that stays upstairs about respect for guests that stays below them. Or you must do something about the furniture you have in upstairs units. Either put plastic rubbers underneath it so when it's being dragged its not a horrendous noise for people in downstairs units. Also the window by the kitchen area has no curtain or blinds. When we stand there, everyone walking past etc looks straight at you. There is no privacy especially if you stay in a ground floor unit. We had to use the tablecloth to cover the window. We were also very disappointed that our son aged 12 could not eat at the Marisol or Black Pearl like before. We usually have a light meal at the Marisol but that option has now been taken away also dining at black pearl. That was very very disappointing. Dearest portiaj305, it is very unfortunate to hear about your poor experience at our resort. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience your neighbouring guests caused you, that is unacceptable behaviour. Our security team attended to the noisy party and they were reprimanded, however we understand your frustration. We will attend to the window by the kitchen, we are so sorry for the inconvenience this caused. The Casino's website notes that no under 18's are allowed at The Black Pearl restaurant, they are a private entity though. The Casino has had to make several changes due to the new regulations as well as the resort. Your refund for the additional night will not take that long. We are happy to know that Henriette was very helpful, thank you for praising her service. Imagine paying thousands of your hard earned money for your annual 7 day holiday at Club Mykonos only to be disappointed by a series of unfortunate events.
Starting at arrival, the Booking I paid extra for to get a specific unit, was no longer available (issue which I will take up with Flexi Club). The conduct and attitude of the staff member booking us in was not welcoming. I felt like I was being an inconvenience to her. After waiting more than an hour for the issue to be resolved by Flexi Club, out of desperation I decided to take the unit that was "assigned" to me.
Renovations were being done to the kaliva above us, this resulted in 8am knocking and drilling noises throughout the week that were were there. No late sleeping for us whether we liked it or not. The Duty Manager advised me that this was communicated to us in the Welcome letter on arrival ... once again, I didnt pay thousands of rands to be on a building site during my vacation.
Loadshedding is not anyone's doing but Eskom, I get that but for a 4 Star Luxury resort, If you know the electricity goes off 3 times per day, every day surely a plan must be made to invest in some sort of gas option so that guests can at least heat or prepare food as all the surrounding eateries are off as well.
I could go on and on about the events that ensued because I expect and demand better from this establishment especially since we are returning guests and are accustomed to certain standards and service delivery especially from the staff.
