Having been here numerous times this is the worst time spent at Club Mykonos and lack value. When we arrived we found cleaners still busy cleaning our apartment resulting in us having to walk around for an hour plus already fatigued by a long but scenic drive. I suppose the thrill of the moment had dampened the impact of this wasted time. We settled and while I was alone in the apartment I thought I was being visited from the dark side with the sound af a bang after reciting every prayer to ward off the impending evil I restored to investigating and found it is the tile falling off wall, in hind site that could have been one of 2 things poor workmanship or that evil spirit. Well today we are stuck the entire day without electricity thanks to mismanagement of the the powers that be. What concerned me was the contingency plan of the management which was to provide hot water and warm up food items. Yes that is the plan Management came up with I would expect that plan from a 2 bedroom bed and breakfast in Kwagas Kraal in the Kalahari. We had planned our as follows for breakfast a Double fish burger with a divider of mozzarella cheese topped with onion rings and splashed with a garden salad drizzled in tartar sauce on a panini bread with a side od coated Chateau potatoes. We sent our fish burgers to strategically placed contingency Centre and the very polite lady informed me telephonically that they can not warm it because it is raw I did want to point out the obvious as that is what happens if you do not have electricity to avoid sounding condescending. She however sent it to the marina to be grilled. Otherwise I suppose I had to rub twigs together to light a fire to cook the burgers. We also sent the braai which was not consumed in a hunger frenzy last night when this was returned from being warmed we noticed it was Flavoured with rigor mortise and a dash of ash. Being famished as we had an early supper yesterday and being held captive by the 8 to 10 slot of the infamous loadshedding last night we could not manage to conjure anything note worthy to eat. So this morning when all hopes were dashed for a gourmet burger and fear of the assault on our pallets by the left over braai we left for the mall to grab something to eat. When I spoke the the polite lady and asked what compensation Mykonos is offering she said there will be no compensation I asked if there will be extra activities to pass this day of darkness she said no. I think Management does not understand we need creature comforts if I wanted to live in a tent in the bush warding off wild animals of prey infront of a twig lit fire I would have booked into a campsite. So to advise Management open up the spar and the paid activities as free shift check out time from 10 to 4 these are just creative solutions which I can suggest at the end of the day your guest wants value to give hot water does not add value. While I'm typing this I lost network and was shoved back to the dark age literally and mentally cause I can't think of a worst experience locally and internationally I have had actually there was once in 2002 while in Addis Ababa Ethiopia my toilet actual toilet came out of the floor and I could see the occupants staring at me. So Club mykonos you take second place for worst experience. Babalwa the duty manager has still not called as you promised…

Dearest Sayyidsakkaf, thank you so much for taking the time to review your experience at our resort. We certainly do not want any guest to be unhappy during their stay at our resort. Firstly we would like to start off by saying that we were not aware of your booking until 15:30 the day of your arrival. The previous guests who you shared the booking with, did not inform us that you will be checking that same day when they departed. Housekeeping had to remove all of the curtains and the unit was left needing a lot of attention which they only started with later as there was no booking for the unit. We were sadly not aware of the arrangement for you to take over the unit. When Reception checked you in, you received the notice about the Eskom maintenance affecting the entire town. The notice stated that the electricity would be off on Thursday. The Wednesday you even asked for a manager to phone you on Thursday morning at 10:00 to discuss your unhappiness that the power would be off. As we explained to the gentleman in the unit, we were also only made aware of the power situation on Tuesday, Eskom did not pre-plan this, this was done on short notice for the entire town of Langebaan. You phoned early Thursday morning to Guest Services and we said that we can heat up your food and milk which we did, your meat was heated up as we received it and sent back to you. You however sent a large tray with several fish fillets that still had to be baked/fried as it was still raw, this was a surprise to us as we did not have the equipment to prepare it and only the heating of the food was discussed. The manager explained to you that the restaurant at the harbour was unable to help us and that she will ask one of the other restaurants to assist when they opened as they were all still closed. She took the fish to the other restaurant as soon as they opened as she explained to the gentleman and they prepared the fish for you and she personally took it to your unit. Regarding the activities, she told the gentleman that we will be continuing with the planned program for the day. We had a full holiday program scheduled with loads of great activities for all ages. We certainly tried to accommodate you the best we could with the situation we had on hand. We cannot just provide compensation to a very busy resort with hundreds of guests for something that is out of our control and something that you were made aware of. We hope you understand and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. Regards, Club Mykonos Management.

Magnificent setting on the beach with plenty of upmarket activities for all including a heated indoor pool, sports and leisure centre, spa, casino, onsite funfair, numerous restaurants and spectacular views of the bay from most of the units.

Always a home away from home if you want a break......Apartments are always well maintained, clean and the staff are professional and very friendly. we were close to the mariner and had the best sunset view....quick and easy access to restuarants, the casino and other activitites. A definite must visit for couples or families.

The room was clean, but there was no shower, only a bath. Also we were only allowed to Check in after 4pm and we had to check out by 10am, so we could not even have our room for a full day. Otherwise the room was ok. We enjoyed the entertainment they offered to the kids.

Clean and fresh pure cotton bedding very comfortable beds.....pleasant staff all around great service in the restaurants especially at the coffee shop at the casino..cafe V...staff was pleasant and professional...every dept had different colour uniforms....

The experience we had at the indoor hot pool was shocking, kids screaming and playing games in the pool. When I complained I was told they are only playing, duty manager did nothing to address this, people drink beer around the pool was also not address, the staff is there just for the show.

Bed in a bad condition. Club mykonos is very noisy even staff noisy early mornings, no respect for guest. Klavia not a good area to stay in rather choose fase 2. Very expensive for what you get. Could get much cheaper accommodation with far better facilities.

My father who is 80 years old was almost killed by our neighbours throwing a frenzied party well into the morning. At almost 3am the noise was so extreme he went to ask the neighbours to turn it down (after security had been called and said they could do nothing about it). He was beaten to a pulp. I went over to try stop the carnage and I was assaulted too resulting in tens of thousands of pounds of dental damage. My dad, 80 years old, has three broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a broken arm, bruising all over his body, and more. Management did nothing to solve the silo ther than call an ambulance to take us to hospital at the emergency wing of Vredenburg Hospital. They are scared of the mobsters from Joburg who committed these serious crimes and their inaction said as much.
