My friend and I spent two nights at the Whacky Bush Lodge and would highly recommend it! Outstanding service, the comfiest bed, most delicious breakfast, and a close drive to restaurants and beaches. The staff were particular lovely!

We had a really lovely 2 night stay at the wacky bush lodge. Ronel & Wayne made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. The breakfast and dinner (including a braai) was very good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We definitely recommend the Lodge for pleasant and relaxing stay.

My husband's Company organized a Surprise 40th Birthday weekend for him at Wacky Bush Lodge this weekend. We have stayed at many venues over the years but I have never experienced the kind of customer service that The Wacky Bush Lodge offers. Ronel & Wayne went out of their way to ensure that every guest's needs were met especially the kids who were served food early, even baby food for the younger kids, given blankets, pool noodles, soccer balls. They even organized a cake for Scott. I can highly recommend them as a function venue. We had an awesome weekend.

The place is very clean and could be a lovely place to stay for a night or two except for: The rooms are all joining in one way or another, I had a room on both sides of me. The rooms are not insulated in any way and I think the roof is open all the way through. The ceiling is stirofaom, no insulation. I heard both couples clearly, every word they said, the snoring, the farting, the couple making love in the shower and the other couples problems at 01h00 in the morning. I got woken 4 times in 1 evening by the snoring of the guy next to me. Bad

The manager was very welcoming, we stayed there with 4 adults and one 2 year old kid, but we had no hot water for 2 and a half days, the manager told us he couldn't get a plumber out. No on the second day we had to bath my son in the kitchen basin. The manager told me that the owner is going to call me to apologize for the lack of hot water, I'm still waiting for that call.
We were told that we could order food from the "restaurant" but when we asked, we had to make the order 24 hours in advance... Bizarre!
My mother-in-law asked to use a hairdryer, she was given one which didn't work.
There is one cleaner/cook who is seriously over worked, once she is done with breakfast and cleaning the kitchen she then gets onto cleaning the rooms which could be a problem if you'd like an afternoon snooze, when she is in there at 3pm still cleaning.
I would not expect this from a 4 star establishment charging 4 star prices!

There is a plethora of 3 and 4 * B&B in Langebaan and not much to separate them, attention to detail is probably the only main difference. unfortunately The Wacky does not do detail that well, that said a nice comfortable room excellent shower / bathroom very friendly and helpful staff and a very acceptable breakfast, there is tons of parking as well.

The DSTv remote did not work the batteries were flat and had leaked into the remote, that was quickly remedied by the staff. A hair dryer with a 2 pin plug but no adapter to plug it in, no shaver point in the bathroom, extractor fan that did not work at all, the staff said they were aware it did not work which begs the question why not fix it? A lack of toiletries was disappointing.

All said and done it was a pleasant enough stay but with a little effort it could have been better. The rooms do not have a fan or air conditioning which was not a problem for me, but I do wonder what it would be like at the height of summer as the West coast gets very hot indeed, this is not a complaint rather an observation

The other guests seemed very happy and some have been there several times, so maybe I am being a little pedantic, But to me if you have a 4 star establishment you really need to sweat the small stuff its important, a box of tissues would have been a nice touch as well.

Room Tip: Rooms seem to be of a similar standard so any room should be fine I think.

We bought a 2 night stay through Daddy's deals. The staff is very friendly and the basics is in the room as for a 4 Star a person expected more luxury. The great negative for us was that the rooms are not sound proof at all, and you could hear everything your neighbours are talking. There are also no aircon or ceiling fans in the room. The only windows that you can open is the 2 next to the sliding door and there are no burglar bars.So there are no cross ventilation. Any person can put his hand through the window and open the sliding door with ease. The Sunday morning there were no hot water in the shower it seems that there are not efficient geysers to accommodate all the people. Don't think i will go and stay there again.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Basics in room - kettle/coffee/tea, etc. Downfall for me was that the rooms are not sound proof as we had extremely loud "neighbours" and could hear their fighting and loud intoxicating chatting...... Sarah is very friendly over the phone, although, for me it was also very frustrating when I sent emails to enquire about stuff, as their reply on emails is at their own time. Setting is very nice and I think summer here, will be awesome.

Bought a 2 night stay on Daddy's Deal for R999 which was supposed to include breakfast and free wi-fi. The breakfast was lovely and made to order but I was told the wi-fi is no longer free. The rooms are lovely, clean and very functional.
We spent a lot of time at the lodge, just chilling. There is no bar fridge in the room but bringing your own drinks is discouraged. There is a pool table and a table tennis table.
Unfortunately the staff chat a lot and their voices travel which was a little irritating.
We went for a great run around Long acres Estate the one morning. All in all, we had a lovely stay and with the deal, it was good value for money.
