Our second time here and once again the Hermes team have not disappointed. The rooms have had a refresh since last time and also the sunbeds around the pool. The room was cleaned 6 out of 7 days, the pool staff were also very friendly serving delicious meals and drinks every day. With also plenty of day trips we went on, Hermes was and is the perfect family hotel for us. Thank you again Diana and Sebastian, we will be back again
Lovely family run hotel. From the minute you arrive you are made to feel so welcome by Diana and her team / family. The hotel is spotless and such good value for money and has lovely views of the bay. Our only sadness is that we only stayed for one night. Thanks Diana and your team for such a lovely stay!
Fairly basic hotel but very laid back and friendly. The whole staff are very welcoming, the rooms are cleaned & fresh towels every day (except Sunday). Everywhere is super clean including the swimming pool. Bit of a walk from the beach but the views are superb. Only disappointment is breakfast which is very basic. They use the cheapest ingredients available, orange flavoured water dispenser (you couldn't call it juice) processed cheese and cold "meats" cheap cereals and plastic bread with 'vegen' spread no butter. There are options available at an extra cost but the pancakes 3.5 to 6 euros are shop bought. Most days you get hard boiled eggs and/or cake. However I guess you get what you pay for and overall it is brilliant value and a great location. Apart from breakfast no complaints. The food from the poolside bar is excellent with fresh ingredients, freshly cooked and large portions. Therefore can highly recommend the Hermes Hotel Kefalos.…
Very good Hotel and lovely people. First time here and very impressed. Accommodation basic but clean, Found the shower cubicle to be small but apart from that no problems. Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds and a great bar at the side that do great food as well. Breakfast basic but good and you can order more for a small charge. Had some good times at the bar in the Evenings and Maria is a lovely young lady with plenty of local knowledge and happy to play the music you like. The Hotel is situated up a hill so people with mobility issues could struggle. Would deffo return to this hotel. Phil
I spent 10 days at Hermes . The hosts, Diana and Sebastian are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable and the balcony had an amazing view of the bay. All of the staff are extremely friendly. Spiros looks after the pool bar makes great food, the grilled chicken salad was delicious , And Maria who runs the hotel bar of an evening is exceptional. She is kind, friendly and has a lot of information to share about the local area. On the bar tending side, she has a great playlist to keep guests happy and makes an exceptional Mojito . It was in a great place for walking to Kefalos Harbour and the supermarket, and up the hill to Kefalos Village and The Cadtle I will definitely return to Hermes.
Stayed here between 16 - 23 Oct 2021. Excellent room, very clean and sufficient for my needs. Little fridge is available if you want to get some supplies from local supermarkets. Hotel is kept very clean and rooms are cleaned every day apart from Sunday. The breakfast served is continental, with very tasty Greek yoghurt and locally sourced honey. Plenty of restaurants about 10 minutes walk towards the seafront, which offer good food and are reasonably priced. The walk back up to the hotel is uphill, which might not be suitable for everyone, however I enjoyed my twice daily walk. The pool area of the hotel is superb, well maintained, again very clean. Pool bar is open a couple of hours a day (depends on time of year). Gardens around the property are beautiful and well maintained. The family running the hotel are just the best. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Bar manager, Niko, can hold great conversation so I just have to come back to finish unfinished chats! I will be returning in 2022 at least once. Hermes hotel, thank you for a great stay…
Brilliant Hotel, The Hotel and rooms are kept clean. My room was cleaned every day.The bed was comfortable and the room had a small fridge.I arrived a little late so Nick the bar manager and a member of the family that own the Hotel arranged a take away to be delivered to the hotel. The pool is nice and again nice and clean. The hotel had some entertainment on and the atmosphere was friendly welcoming and fun. The Service in the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is situated on an hill so people with disabilities would need to hire transport to get around. Its in s good position for the beach and all bars and restaurants,10 minutes walk away, also the old town is at the top of the hill and is worth a visit. Great food and drinks.you can catch the bus over the road to Kos town I went at 10.30 so had a good few hours in Kos before the return journey at 17.00 All in all a great holiday.…
Absolute gem of a hotel. The family are lovely so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spotless and basic. I hired a kettle for the week. Shower lovely and clean. I asked for a high room for the views - lots of steps but ok if you’re able. Cleaners were friendly , room was cleaned daily apart from 1 day. Towels change etc. breakfast was traditionally Greek continental and tasty. Snacks at the pool bar were perfect. Quite varied. Good prices. Drinks at both bars were great - proper measures yum. Yammas The pool is large and clean. Plenty of sun-beds too. Turn left out hotel and 10 minutes walk to the beach. Coming back is uphill and quite a struggle if you have walking difficulties but a nice stroll if not. Nightlife is in the same place - all on the beachfront. Perfect views of the bay/harbour/beach. Every single restaurant and bar are top notch, perfect cocktails and food in every one. All are good prices too. There are no taxis in kefalos so be mindful you have to walk everywhere. There are a few restaurants on the way down to the beach which are equally perfect. You can book george (through the hotel) to take you up to the old town and back in a minibus, if you want to eat and drink up the top. Lovely Greek village with stunning views. George is funny and lovely 😊 Transfer was short too from Kos airport so about half hour. Booked online through tui and would definitely recommend for couples. Would definitely return and miss the owners as they were so lovely.…
Stayed 2 day to explore Kefalos and the south of Kos. Friendly staff - nice and clean facilitys and room - fine wi-fi Large pool area with snackbar BUT !! No tv in room - noicy refrigator (I shut it down to sleep) - No privacy on balcony modest breakfeast buffé - need transportation to get around - to far to walk to Beaches - good resturant etc. Not suited for wheelchair
We have just returned from spending a week at the Hermes. This is our 2nd time at this hotel and we love it. The hotel is very clean and staff just can’t do enough for you. Breakfast is served between 8-10.30 and is continental but there is plenty of choice! We stayed in room 213 which is right at he top of the complex up lots of stairs, the only thing I would say about the room is the mattresses need changing! But the views are amazing. This hotel is not ideal if you have any difficulties with walking!! It’s a bout 5-10 walk into the town and the sea. Lots of nice restaurants and bars.
