Our overnight stay at the Hotel was unforgettable. The receptionist Felicia, went out of her way to make us comfortable and happy. With such a friendly face and manner, she offered us more than expected. Room was beautiful old world charm, good quality bedding and mattress. Coffee facilities, bathroom with marble tiles, gold taps and a marble bath! the breakfast was served warm and very friendly. Beautiful gardens full of birds.

The staff were friendly. The fridge in the room had an used icebag still in it. While there was loadshedding during the evening, no candles available in the room. No warm water the next morning, geyser was off. We were the only people in the hotel.

How am I to write a 200 word review on a place we refused to stay at. 4 stars, I have no idea how this was awarded. It was dirty and dingy. It felt creepy. It would've been a beautiful building in its day. I will mist definitely not recommend this place.

The rooms were accommodating, neat and clean. The service was very good and the staff member on duty went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. Breakfast was decent. The place has definitely felt the affects of the pandemic on the business as a whole. Maintenance is required to bring the place back to it's glory days unfortunately with limited travel you can see the that the hotel is suffering.

We were warmly welcomed by the lovely Felicia. She had upgraded us from the standard room to a gorgeous suite, private balcony included. We participated in a trail run on the Saturday morning, held at nearby Allesverloren wine estate, which meant us having to miss breakfast. Felicia promised that it was no problem. She had breakfast ready for us when we returned around 11am. The antique furniture is beautiful. Really a trip back in time. Garden was beautiful, although it needed some TLC. Would definitely stay at Riebeeck Valley hotel again.
