From the website, the four star rating and the facebook page this looks like a really nice little country get-away. However, this wasn't our experience. Maybe it was the heat, maybe it was the water restrictions, maybe it was bad luck but we had a 1 star experience at a place that was supposed to be 4 stars. We booked...

Our hotel remains the same venue available to all guests. Some guests love our hotel, and others, conditioned by current consumer culture, choose to go 'excel sheet'. The fact is, our guests are the variables, and the hotel stays the same, our service; the same dedication, our food; the same quality. Herewith the detail response of everything and all you...

A place of peace and tranquility......just what the doctor ordered! Away from the hustle and bustle of city and suburban life that is what we were looking for and found it in Riebeek Valley Hotel. A definite gem hidden away so that when you seeking for it you will appreciate it more when you find it......

Neville. Thank you for posting your beautiful review. Most Riebeek Valley Hotel guests share your type poetic response. Some guests arrive with excel sheets in their minds. There are also those who arrive with their noses in screens, and leave with their noses in screens, their only need for our wi-fi password. When they leave, the birds and bees in...

If measured against the criteria for a 4 star hotel - this was not up to standard - most probably because we used a Daddy deal voucher which we got as a gift - the room we stayed in were not that of a 4 star hotel - it was dark, uninteresting and very boring if you compare with what...

Ansie. You are right, within the dynamic of supply and demand you might be booked into a room which you consider lacking the 4-star level. Our Standard Rooms are not star graded at all, and indicated as such on our website, at reception & inside those rooms. Strange thing is; some of our regular guests (business consultants in the area)...

Nice friendly staff - clean room comfortable bed. Noticed that some maintenance was needed in the garden and outside of the building but we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the organic pool . Maybe too much chlorine in the indoor pool.

Dianne. Thank you for your authentic review. The organic pool = water is soft and natural, being kept clean by water purifying plants. Indoor swimming pool; you are right about the chlorine level, at time of your visit I was trying to get the indoor pool levels of chlorine, acidity and pH levels corrected and in balance. With the heat...

We had a really lovely 2 night stay at the hotel. Everyone made us feel very welcome and helped out with where to go and what to see. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. We definitely recommend this hotel for pleasant and relaxing stay.

From the time of our arrival to our departure we felt so at home. The manager Johan was an abolute star and super friendly and went the extra mile. The staff were super friendly and all I can say is we will be back. An absolute gem of a counry hotel with no special features just extremely accommodating and relaxed.

Jenny, you know in corporate they usually go: features | benefits | strengths | weaknesses. I think we DO have a few features. 1. Our spirited staff. 2. Good quality food (including super breakfast buffet spread) 3. Old yesteryear character country styling & feel 4. Organic swimming pool with frogs toads & fish nibbling on your toes. (disputable and acquired...

This is a lovely hotel - the only problem is you dont know if you will be getting one of the stunning rooms (saw a few realy nice ones) or one of them rooms we had for the weekend. Still clean and everything you need - just not very nice - furniture old and out dated. No Bar fridge. But...

Thank you for your authentic review. You touch on one of the aspects of the hotel which makes it probably a bit more difficult to present, assess or review. Each and every of the rooms are different and we separate the rooms in roughly 4 levels. 1. Farm House Standard Rooms (not graded) 2. De Luxe Rooms (close to reception)...
