We stayed at Twin Thorns Guesthouse as the last stop of our SA tour to get some days of rest and relaxation. We enjoyed our time so much that we decided to stay a night longer than planned.
Riana is a perfect host - not only is she a great cook and spoilt us with her delicious food, she also sensed what we needed and made our stay as pleasurable as possible.
The game drives are very much recommendable. This small game reserve is full of animals and you can see them from very close (giraffes, ostrich, zebras, impalas and more). And as there are none of the Big 5 around, we could enjoy ourselves during the sundowner rests and let the kids play around without worries (5 years and a baby of 10 months). Another plus for us: the field guide was a German, so our daughter could also understand her explanations.
Would definitely recommend this accomodation to anyone with or without kids who likes to enjoy some quietness in a beautiful large garden with a big pool and great food.

i can highly recommend the place. It is a heaven on earth.
Due to the circumstances and time of our booking (corona virus) we were upgraded to the Saragossa Game lodge which belongs to Twin Thorns guesthouse.
My reviews referrs therefore to the Saragossa Game lodge. THis is a place you have to stay at. The house are in the center of a little game reserve - no fences at all (no predators so please no worries)
The location is absolutely stunning and the staff is totally amazing as well. It was by far the best accomodation we stayed in during our stay.

There no back up for Wi-Fi when load shedding.
I was not informed at the time of making the booking there is no TV, conditioner or shower.
There was only hand and and face towel in bathroom and no bath towels
No hot water to take a bath in the morning, when mentioning this to the staff it was a just to bad attitude.
staff are friendly, accommodating neat but not worth the price.

The room had a smell in it, and I had to open all the windows to get rid of the smell. Only a bath, and no shower. Breakfasts were amazing, You could eat for 2 hours. Excellent variety. No TV in the room.
There was no additional activities you could partake in at the guesthouse, apart from a swimming pool. No animals roaming the property, which I mistakenly thought there was. For the price I paid (R2100 per night), I expected a lot more.

Twin Thorns Guesthouse is really a treasure. The service is excellent, and whatever your plan is, the staff will try assist you best possible. Get first hand information on the area and must-sees (as well as things rather not to try), hop onto the Jeep for a safari or just relax and enjoy the amazing African landscape.

We stayed at Twin Thorns before running TracN4 Elands Marathon as it was perfectly placed. It was top notch in every way - we felt so welcome and the food was excellent. Our game drive with Hugo was wonderful too. We will go back there for sure - well done to you all!
