We regulary stay in lodges around the Kruger and did not find this one to be up to 4 star standard. The access road to the Lodge entrance is very poor and guests with cars should be warned. The overall welcome was good and staff are very friendly, but staff are lazy and senior

Hi There We took doxicycline the whole time we were there as a preventative. However I believe that given the altitude of Bogani this was not actually necessary. If you are going into the Krugar it is recommended that you take anti malarials. Rather be safe than sorry.

The UK NHS does not recommend malaria tablets in the winter. Check online or visit a doctor.

I would say layers.... winter is approaching ZA then I would expect less mosquitos but cold nights and the same apply to your morning game! Have fun there!

No worries! Keep the breakfast and dinner since you will have a plenty of food there. Mama Africa is always caring to ensure that nobody is hungry!!! :-)

I was a single traveller and so were several other people. The package I had included game drives, and whereas no animal sighting is ever guaranteed, I saw lots - the guides there are excellent. Again, on the package I had, breakfast and dinner were included. Lunch is an optional extra, but there is nowhere to buy and food so probably best to help yourself to extra items from the buffet breakfast to tide you over until dinner or take a few biscuit type snacks to help out. The food there is lovely - I stayed for 7 nights and there wasn't a single thing I didn't like. Enjoy!

"Keep things as they are. "
"Near the shop/ restaurant etc in the dark is easier to find and has more animal visitors, others preferred the view on the outside"
"Keep your door and windows shut. The monkeys are very cheeky and will come into the rooms and steal stuff!"
"I found the rooms a bit dark, a bit more light would be good"
"Request a room with a view and make sure you try the outdoor shower, it was a very invigorating way to start the day."
