We stayed 4 nights in a lovely river chalet overlooking the river. As birders we were very excited to spot a fin foot swimming infront of our chalet across the river (the river was not very wide ) We had daily game drives - our game guide Bo was amazing. We saw elephant, lion, a cheetah kill, buffalo, giraffe and other wild life. What really made the trip epic was meeting Meelie the tame giraffe, we spent about an hour just so loving the company of this beautiful animal. Meeting Meelie is not guaranteed as he is given the freedom to roam the game reserve and cannot always be found on any given day. A lovely bush breakfast was arranged for us ( at extra cost ) highly recommended , As self drives are not allowed, daily or even twice daily game drives are necessary to keep one occupied unless you are happy to unwind at the poolside.
