Had a hectic but fantastic couple of days at Lalibela. The staff took good care of us from the off. The game drives were varied and we saw lots of game, the highlight being the cheetah. The food was fine, though did miss decent coffee. Accommodation beautiful. Lasting memories

Omg was just looking to book this lodge but definitely WILL NOT based on this!!!!!
Too bad management or staff doesn't respond. Is it possible they didn't see the promised Big 5 because you are having them shot by trophy hunters? That alone is sickening but to know you are allowing an endangered rhino to be hunted, is criminal.
Hi Jill B Yes, I was extremely upset and disappointed to hear of Lalibela's owner's intentions to trophy hunt "Kratos" the male white rhino. I was glad that he was stopped by court interdict but it left me feeling that the owner's eco intentions did not match his actions.

When you saw the Big 5, did the staff tell you they are in the business of selling a rhino to a trophy hunter so he can have it's head on a wall? They claim to be eco-friendly, so very curious if they admitted to killing endangered animals and allowing it for the right price.
Supposed to be a place to see animals not kill them. I will recommend nobody ever stay at this disgusting lodge.
I'm wondering what price you put on a white rhino's head. If you're getting into the trophy hunting business, have the decency to stop misleading potential guests by stating you are eco-friendly. I hope to see your business fail in the very near future. How small an area will the lions be in for the canned hunt? I'm sure the trophy hunters who don't like to actually "hunt" will be interested in the answer.
