Overnighted here en-route to JHB. Booked a family room. Spotlessly clean. Aircon for summer and electric blankets for winter. Lodge completely surrounded by an electric fence so no security concerns. Good breakfast at the lodge the next morning. We will stay here when travelling this route again.

We stayed there one night on the way to East London. Helen is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large, clean and in good condition.
Breakfast is including eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, jogurt, toast, jam, coffee and tea in a very nice atmosphere.
Please notice that the lodge is just 100 m away from N6. So you always hear a silent noise of cars running by. But we had no problem with that. Just take care of you matter about that.
Overall it was a fantastic experience.

You get what you pay for !! This is simple overnight accommodation with your car right outside the front door - your room is really all there is, not even a chair outside, or any sense of homeliness - I would have given a four, but the dog in the cage next to my room
amongst the chickens was not nice to see.

We stayed over for one night and was surprice by this clean stopover. Room was large and very clean. Could do with a small fridge in the room. The host was friendly. We had a nice breakfast. Will use this guest lodge again in the future.

We booked here, after having stayed at the N6 Guest Lodge in 2017. What a difference from our first trip. There is little to no maintenance. What used to be a simple but well run motel has become extremely disappointing. The whole motel looks as if it has been abandoned by the owners to be run without any management. From the entrance, uncut overgrown lawn to the broken fittings in the rooms, bed bugs in the beds, broken crockery in the dining room, and no administration at the front desk, no invoice. The desk clerk wasn’t even sure if we should pay or not.

We will definitely not be staying at the N6 Lodge again, extremely disappointed. Just when we thought we had discovered a good value clean simple overnight stop.

N6 Guest Lodge is a basic, but comfortable stop-over just outside Aliwal North. The rooms range from single, to double, and full family units, some with a bathroom, shower and coffee station, while others have a full kitchen and dining area. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the rates are very affordable and the breakfast (optional extra) is delicious. It offers secure parking and is close enough to town for easy access to restaurants and shops. The local pizza and burger franchises also deliver so you can also order in. If you're looking for a reasonable, comfortable stop-over on your way down to the coast, this is a great option.

We booked here for two nights, on the last leg of our road trip. We only stayed for one night. Beats me how this place can have a four star rating? There was no bar fridge in the room. The usual crappy coffee and tea sachets but no milk. There is literally nothing to see or do at this 'lodge'. No pool not much of a garden, no loungers to relax on, no trees to sit under, nothing. Only your room. Thank goodness it had an aircon. Reminds me of the typical Motel in the backwaters of little towns, you see in movies.
