Stayed one night here. Lovely cottages in a remote spot. With its own vineyard and a genial host called Sparky we were treated to a wine tasting session with nibbles in front of an open fire. Sparky knew his stuff and the wines were lovely. The rooms were very comfortable with a large double bed and an ensuite shower room. Peaceful location overlooking the vines.
We were up in Trawal visiting friends and got there late morning. The guys there were so accommodating that they opened the kitchen for the four of us and made us breakfast after our long journey. After returning later that afternoon, we sat at the pool and enjoyed a very relaxed day and an afternoon nap before the bar area opened. By then the over landers had pulled in and set up camp. That night we had a braai and a couple of well deserved whiskeys under a sky filled with stars (amazing how you miss it in the city). Everyone is so friendly and we are definitely going back again for longer. We will be taking the bakkie though so we can go exploring the mountains.
Stayed here for one night at the start of a three week journey from Capetown to Vic Falls. Lovely rooms, beautiful setting and a very convivial host ! Great for a stop-over or as a base for exploring the Western Cape.
Camped at Highlanders on our way up to Namakwa National Park. It is a neat, well run and friendly establishment. Couple of the guys actually jumped in the swimming pool even though it was a chilly winters afternoon. It just looked so amazing. Stunning views from the bar - well worth the stop
Stayed here as part of an overland tour down to Cape Town, Sparky and Manu were great hosts and provided a relaxed environment. Wine tasting, food and evening entertainment were all excellent. Would stay here again if in the area.
