We stayed at Eliros Mare from 18th to 28th October 2022 and booked the All Inclusive Package. Overall this stay is one of the best we had in the past several years.
The great experience in this hotel started directly at arrival on a Tuesday morning where we could get breakfast before we even completely checked in. There is nothing better than a hot, tasty coffee and a nice breakfast after a long trip. :)
After our breakfast we checked in and received a welcoming drink. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, courteous and attentive from the beginning and remained the whole stay. At this point we have to highlight the exceptional kindness and helpfulness of Elina and Despina!! :)
The hotel room was clean, modern, the bathroom was a little small but we adapted quite quickly so that it didn't really bother us, the beds were comfortable.
The private hotel beach was very clean with a nice and shallow entry to the ocean, the sunbeds and sun shades were available without extra charge. Worth to mention that there have been always enough for everybody.
The Spa is small but absolutely sufficient, maybe the interior could have a little bit more of a wellness character (loungers in the sauna / hammam area, more paintings at the walls, candles...). We have seen several Aego Spas in Greece which had a better and more inviting appearance, But the quality of the massages was extraordinary! We booked the Cretan Massage twice because the masseur Aris did an excellent job! Very skilled, very professional, absolutely nothing to complain about. Additionally, Anastasia was very kind and friendly in consulting and booking appointments.
There were several activities organized per day by the animation team (3 persons) which had a very good quality and were performed very professional (Yoga, Pilates, Stretching, Aqua Gym, Volleyball, Darts), and the animation team was very restrained when asking for participation. This is a very pleasant behavior.
The food was absolutely impressive in quality, variety, taste! We haven't seen anything similar for years.
But the most impressive thing is the staff: cleaning staff, receptionists, service personnel, kitchen personnel, bar keepers, animation staff....everybody was friendly, motivated, in good mood which really made our stay this excellent!
A big Thank You to the entire Eliros Mare Team! We will come back!

Beautiful hotel
Cleanliness 10/10
The staff at the reception was really nice and helpful.
They offer sunbeds at the seaside with umbrella and a small table. There is a dedicated place at the beach where to change, take a shower and clean your legs from sand.
They have a beach bar, a pool bar
There is a 5 eur depozit/ beach towel
The hotel offers halfboard or all inclusive. If you have halfboard you can choose against 30 eur /day for all inclusive services.
Food: great variety of foods for breakfast and also for dinner (vegan, gluten free, italian, lamb, pork, duck, salads etc) . Many desserts and fruits. At halfboard, for breakfast drinks are included but for dinner no.
The pool is really nice.
Not very stroller friendly: from reception to main restaurant - only stairs. From ground 0 to pool - only stairs. From pool to main restaurant- only stairs. Otherwise, you have elevator access to all the floors. The alley to the beach is really nice.
Kids club & baby pool: kids club has a lot of toys for all ages and every day they have activities. The kids pool has 0,5m depth.
I enjoyed the fact that there was no loud music on the beach, I could enjoy the sound of waves and properly relax. There is an animation team which offer stretching, boccia, beach volleyball, darts and at evening they have music, games.

From the moment we set foot in the hotel foyer I knew we’d chosen a great hotel. The staff greeted us warmly and welcomed us with the most delicious homemade lemonade while our check in was completed. Our room was ground floor with a lovely little terrace, complete with seating area, swinging chair and a place to hang wet costumes on. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve found in any hotel in a long time and the room spacious for the 3 of us. Robes, slippers and plenty of fluffy towels are provided, together with large bottles of heavenly scented hand soap, shampoo, body wash and moisturiser - I could have left half of my wash bag at home. The hairdryer is also a good one so no need to bring your own.
Dinner is buffet style with a wonderful array of both local and international dishes. Hazel greeted us and looked after us all week, alongside Maria who I wanted to take home with us! At breakfast, also buffet style, we were spoilt for choice and enjoyed sitting on the outside terrace overlooking the pool.
Towels are available for pool/beach with a small deposit and can be changed daily in the Spa. We spent more time in the sea than the pool, but both are equally fabulous. We were half board and often had lunch at the beach bar or by the pool, where we happily chatted to Cristina and Hara as they mixed an array of cocktails.
All in all we had the most wonderful holiday, everything felt incredibly relaxed and easy. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the gardens immaculately kept. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are the backbone of the hotel and made our stay extra special. A huge thank you to you all 💫
We will be back!

This is 100% a 5 star hotel, it offers everything that is needed for that perfect holiday. The staff are a credit to this hotel , friendly and welcoming, could not do enough for us, this was our first time here, but not for others, treated like friends / family.
The cleanliness is outstanding, food is piping hot and fresh with lots of variety.
The rooms again have everything that is needed , robe, slippers, shower gel, shampoo and those special little extras like toothbrush and toothpaste a comb, shower cap, make up wipes to use if you didn’t want to take your own, its all there and not to forget the free water bottles which you can top up.at various stations around the grounds, reducing plastic usage ohh and a complementary bottle of fizz upon your arrival … these small thoughts make a big impact.
The pool and beach again drama free, no reserving of beds so availability each day. I treated myself to a full body massage at the Spa, this is at a charge but well worth it.
During our stay we got a call to reception asking if we would like to upgrade to a sea view room , free of charge… erm yes please as we tried to book this room at the initial booking, again so so worth it .
We had a perfect week here and I can honestly say no fault was found, we look forward to returning.

The welcome bestowed upon us at Eliros Mare was nothing short of heartwarming. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property, we knew that we were in for an extraordinary experience. Our stay was booked for a lavish two weeks, and we were eager to indulge in all that this luxurious destination had to offer.

As a family of five, we had the pleasure of residing in two of the most spacious and opulent rooms available - room 146 and 150. Our requests were met with the utmost attention to detail, and we were delighted to find that one room was equipped with three single beds, while the other boasted a grand double bed.

Although there was an abundance of activities available throughout the day, we found ourselves venturing out to explore the surrounding area, leaving us with little time to indulge in the hotel's offerings.

Our half-board package included breakfast and dinner, and we were delighted to find that each meal was a culinary masterpiece, with a different menu presented to us each day. We were so enamored with the food that we found ourselves overindulging, resulting in a few extra pounds gained during our stay.

We can confidently say that Eliros Mare is the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying in, and we will undoubtedly return in the future. We extend our sincerest gratitude to the entire staff, from the diligent cleaners to the skilled bartenders, the talented entertainers, and the welcoming reception team. We even had the pleasure of meeting the manager at a champagne party, which was a delightful touch. Thank you for your unparalleled hospitality - we felt truly welcomed and pampered throughout our stay.

This hotel really goes the extra mile , lovely staff always smiling , beds are so comfy , aircon works perfectly, food amazing, drinks very good, massage expensive but very relaxing, no complaints at all but some suggestions ...

The pool bar has 2L bottles of sodas , these loose their fizz quickly so drinks not as nice as they could be , they could do with mixers on tap .
food at the pool bar is not in the all inclusive package and price does not include service or tax and so e.g. A club sandwich instead of being 7€ as on menu becomes 13€ which is quite a jump.
The beach bar / restaurant is not on the beach but alongside it, there is no access from the beach meaning you have to get dried and dressed before you can get a drink !! Tho there is table service at the Entertainment venue and poolside
Entertainment for adults is pretty awful in the evenings, I loved the aqua gym and dance sessions during the day .
This hotel is not suitable for wheelchairs / pushchairs due to steps.
We stayed 3 weeks and had the most relaxing time.
Thank you to all the staff

We had the best stay at the Eliros Mare. All of the staff were so nice and accommodating. Even though almost all the other guests were German or European, we never felt left out or that our needs couldn’t be met.

The rooms are so eco-friendly that the electricity shuts off if you’re not there and/or not moving (great, but not helpful for some medical conditions), but the staff helped us find a workaround. We could hear some footsteps from the rooms above us, but overall a quiet and relaxing resort. Everything was SUPER clean, too.

When it comes to food, everything is buffet style- including the dinner at the beach bar you have to book ahead, so just know that for eating if you’re in the all-inclusive. Lots of variety in the food, there will be something for everyone.

Nothing beats their beach - surrounded by mountains, super clear water, and the amenities made it so easy to spend almost all our time enjoying it. They really do make sure no one reserves the beach and/or pool chairs, which is so nice.

We also had a fantastic day trip to Elafonissi which was easy to arrange through the hotel— totally worth it.

The staff also helped us with our airport private transfer to the hotel, and helped us get the bus to our next destination.

Thanks for making our first visit to Crete unforgettable!

This is a gorgeous hotel recently refurbished, we stayed for 9 nights recently and every morning we looked forward to the delicious breakfast, so much variety.
The staff in the dining area and reception were lovely.
The animation/entertainment team were amazing and are what made our stay so special, Olga, Dimi and Sandra thank you so much.
The entertainment in the hotel was fantastic! Especially the Greek night with Cretan dancers.
There is a bus stop outside to the local towns (buses can be late) and a lovely gift shop.
The beach here is so beautiful you will never want to leave it, with classes like Pilates and yoga everyday, also table tennis, beach volleyball and boccia everyday. It’s a great way to meet other people.
You can join all the activities or you can relax, you can make the holiday your own
We can back feeling recharged and rejuvenated,
Thank you

Hi I was their this year with my wife in June so not a single traveler . This is an amazing hotel but their was a lot little ones and secondly this is a German hotel so maybe the langue could cause you an issue if you want to meet other travellers. This hotel is off a main road not in a resort so again I would say you’d be better off in a hotel in a resort
