Had a great stay. This is perfect if you want to be in a secluded location without cell signal, etc. There was WiFi, but it was very unreliable - makes checking things up at home very difficult. It will not be possible to work remotely.

However, I have never experienced the amount of hospitality from staff anywhere I have been. Friendly, kind, caring and willing to bend over backwards for whatever you need. I cannot overemphasize this.

I will go back, definitely.

I love Witwater Safari Lodge. My second visit. Looking forward to the next. 5 star everything.
We arrived late ! After 10 pm. They waited for us. We had a lovely dinner. This team deserves every star. Personal game drives! They note your preferences and remember.
The GPS got a bit confused at the end so try get there before sunset.

excellent food, staff extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed in river chalet which is completely private with pool and lapa.
Buhle at the spa is very excellent at what she does, maybe a bit busy and at stages difficult to get an appointment. Game drives very educational, with a variety of animals to see, including cheetas

overall an excellent experience,

Treated like the Royal family! Excellent staff!! Most amazing drives!! We tried every type of acomodation at Witwater - chalets, main lodge and the "camp" with 4 rooms and commuial lounge- impossible to make a choice. We visited Witwater three times and recommend them to several family and friends, locally and from overseas. Everybody was just thrilled with Witwater! The meals were marvelous. We stayed at selfcatering chalets, but only braai once - you cannot afford to miss any dinner! Grace and her team go the extra mile to make your visit an unforgettable experience.

Nature will always be beautiful since like this lodge exists.
I will be specific. Stuff is great and helpful, SPA is wonderful as well. They have 3 types of rooms. Normal room at the main building, tents, and different rooms’ couple of Kilos away from the main building. To stay in the tent by the small water fall is a beautiful experience but you have to be sure that you are comfortable with this feeling. In Kenya I stayed in a similar tent but it was much better closed and sealed from the inside out.
Food is just wonderful, for the game drives it is a different experience as well. They have agenda for other activities but we didn’t participate.

We saw many animals in the farm but offcourse it’s not the Massa Mara.

Morning running was nice with a ranger from the lodge.
Since the lodge is between mountains so there is not mobile or internet signal or it is very weak. We manage to get a satellite connection for the internet so it was ok. Being isolated is not always a bad thing.

The place is wonderful for anyone who is seeking a total disconnection and relaxation.
Finally I would add that the place is very elegant to a place inside the now where :)

We stayed as a family of 4 adults in the self catering lodge. Accommodation was way above the rest of lodges we have recently visited. Spacious, clean and just superb. The lodge has its own swimming pool, braai area, complimentary 2 bags of wood daily and the staff made our fire at night... all we had to do was to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Situated close to the river, mountain and wild life, I really cannot fault anything. The wild drive was great and our guide well informed on the wild life, animal behavior etc and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. Cellphone and Wi-Fi reception is poor, except at the main building, however, this was exactly what we needed to get away from the daily hustle as it afforded us an opportunity to relax and reload.

They have a lovely Restaurant and Bar and the breakfast they serve will remain as a positive memory long after you have left - make sure to go for breakfast!

The staff is really a joy, very professional, helpful and friendly - they work as a collective and just add to the 5-Star rating.

The road to the lodge is a dirt road (spent approx 45min drive-time on the dirt road) and best suited for suv's or vehicles with a high ground clearance. All in all, this is a gem and more than worth the visit!

We enjoyed a lovely 2-night getaway. Grace and Johnson and all the staff were fantastic. The food is 5*, we enjoyed all our meals especially the braai and Oxtail Potjie. The Game drives were a bit disappointing with not much to see, but kids enjoyed it. The snooker ques need maintenance and fishing rods were over-used and old and fishing spot was a bit disappointing. Trees in front of our room at the lodge also need to be trimmed to see the beautiful view. Overall we had a very relaxing time and enjoyed it.
