This is a private game reserve, I was invited by family who are shareholders. My first taste of Botswana. We were so well looked after by our chef Molly, housekeepers Miriam and Becky. Our Guide John has an amazing love of the bush. We learned so much around the camp fire at night listening to his stories. Stayed at the main lodge and also Longwope. Staff all very generous with their time and knowledge. Dinner in the bush was a real thrill. Totally outside my experience. Would love to go back again.
We had 2 weeks self catered in one of the lodges as a group of 6 and it was out of this world. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty and were extremely pleasant and helpful. John the ranger was amazing, so friendly and informative and made us feel right at home. His knowledge the animals and their behaviour is second to none. A real asset to the reserve. The lodges them self are lovely but basic, however you don't need anymore, their location over looking the Limpopo river is stunning. Can not recommend this place enough.
Having experienced many different forms of Lodges and bush camps throughout Southern Africa we can honestly put Limpopo - Lipadi up there with the best. The Lodge is situated right on the banks of the Limpopo river which was in full flow. To lie in bed and listen to the river is something very special and unique. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The staff are well trained, very friendly and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. On our departure and roughly 30 minutes into the trip we experienced an overheating problem. We contacted the Lodge via our mobile phone and explained the situation. It was a Sunday. There was no hesitation in their response and two maintenance staff together with water arrived and we sorted the problem out and were soon on our way. That action speaks volumes for their caring of their guests. Would we go back? The answer is an unequivocal yes!!…
We were blown away with this resort. We have experienced some wonderful game viewing with a most accomplished guide (and we have travelled game lodges galore from the Okavango to the Serengetti). There is something just special about this place. As I sit on my patio and write the symphony of bird calls is something that cannot easily be replicated. We have been catered for although you can self cater. The food has been very good and the genuine warmth of staff and management excellent
My friends and I spontaneously decided to do a game drive in Limpopo-Lipadi. We had a warm and friendly reception, despite the fact that we did not book in advance. They managed to book us for an evening drive on the same day. The drive was out of the world, the guide knew what he was doing, he narrated well, patiently answered our silly questions, tried by all means to give us great views. We saw plenty of animals and birds. It was an evening well spent. We definitely coming back!
