Amazing staff and amazing hotel, very spacious rooms and brilliant for kids surrounding area has a few shops and two Irish bars What are very reasonable priced. Also not far to travel into Benidorm on the bus for the day. We would definitely go back here.

10 of us had a weeks stay here at beginning of August. We had 4 children and 6 Adults in our group, age range from 4 to 63 yrs old. As previous reviews mentioned the rooms are a little dated, but at the end of the day its just somewhere to lay your head. The food was very good, lots of choice both healthy and unhealthy to suit everybody's taste. This is a 3star hotel, but the food we had was better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed in. Reading reviews about the food before I went, I was a little concerned, but after sampling it, I don't know what people who complained eat at home, but if they couldn't find something here then there is definitely something wrong with them and not the food. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Both adults and children really enjoyed the fantastic pool and waterslides. All of us said we wished we had booked for longer, and yes we would definitely come back

Great hotel.. living area and kitchen a little dated but it wasn’t an expensive hotel so was worth the money..we were in the main building with fantastic views of the pool and far away mountains …my one gripe was that if you are staying self catering the maid only comes every 3 days which I can use towels for 2 days but not 3 I think that’s asking a bit too much. I did ask at reception and was given clean towels but on one of the days the maid didn’t clean the room on the 3rd day so I had to once again go down to reception and ask for the maid to come. It’s not that..I had a lot of rubbish and with being self catering you have a lot of food waste etc which really isn’t good lying under the sink for 3 days in the heat. Eventually the maid did come after asking for a second time at reception and being given towels so I could go and get a shower. She just popped in and took the rubbish really though as we were in the room by then. The water park was fantastic. My daughter age 13 loved it there as did I. Albir is quite a more quiet area but a bus stops right outside the hotel and only cost €1.55 to take you to Benidorm. Also stops right outside the hotel on the way back and same price. We did need to wear a mask and you were not allowed on the bus without it but that was fine. Entertainment was quite good some nights and not so good others and was held outside near the pool and was really loud until 12pm. The free Wi-Fi in our room worked well but you couldn’t get a signal around the pool area. All in all we would go back to this hotel if it remained the cheap price that it was as we could overlook the little issues we had and we still had a great holiday

Hotel exceeded our expectations, we all had a brilliant time. Water park was fantastic for the kids, they spent all day in it. They didn’t use the kids entertainment but I could see the staff work extremely hard. My youngest enjoyed the mini disco in the evening, just wish parents were more responsible and supervised their small children, accident waiting to happen with toddlers falling off the stage. The entertainment shows in the evening were enjoyable, wasn’t bored at all. The food was really good, having stayed in many Spanish hotels this one was one of the better ones, lots of choice and if you can’t find something to eat then the issue is you not the hotel. Snack bar was great and is open all day. Drinks to my surprise were not just local spirits but branded drinks, excellent bar service in both the indoor and pool bar. We paid extra for a premium room, it was nicely furnished and air con was excellent. Nice and clean. Location wise, short walk or 5 euro taxi to the seafront, the seafront was very nicely presented with upmarket bars, shingle beach but didn’t use it. Large supermarket directly across the road and two Irish bars within 1 minute of the hotel. Didn’t visit them but will next year. If you want a family holiday and don’t want to worry about spending money then pay the extra for the all inclusive, no brainer, kids can have ice cream and slush all day. We enjoyed it so much we will be booking again for next year. Thank you Albir Garden Resort, keep up the good work.

Went here with Grandsons recently. Rooms were fine and cleaned everyday. Only issue was the bed settee in the one bedroom apartment. Be great if it was a proper bed settee rather than a sofa with a pull out mattress below. The complex was brilliant for kids with everything that you could want from water park, swimming pools that stayed open till past 10 at night, to football pitches, to pool tables….. brilliant place. Fully inclusive was great with restaurant doing breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was not gourmet but that’s not what the kids want. Enough to say everyone was happy. Snack bar was open by swimming pool until 11.00 at night and could order burgers, toasted sandwiches, pizza etc. pool bar provided ice creams throughout the day and enough choice of drinks to meet everyone’s taste. I would fully recommend for families as absolutely fantastic for kids.

We have just come to an end of a weeks stay at Albir Hotel As precious reviews have said room is a little dated - the kitchen area is a hob and fridge with a sink so not really a great deal you can do if self catering We arrived at the hotel and were able to leave our bags in the luggage room and go straight for lunch The restaurant offers buffett dinning 3 x day with theme nights-yes some of it can be repative but when catering for this amount of people and to have 5/6 options a night some are going to creep back in There is a snack bar serving toasties/ chips/ pizza/ burgers The food overall was to our liking and we had no complaints The bar and restaurant staff work amazingly hard The bars served a variety or local drinks/ po and ice creams/ lollies available - bottled water is also available The 2 main pool areas can get quite busy but to my amazement there was no fights for sunbeds There was always some available throughout the day - a word of warning inflatables are not allowed unless for small children or an oodle so don't waste your money! The kids loved the splash park village Lifeguards available on both The entertainment we didn't get too involved in other that the mini disco really which kids really enjoyed We ventured out to the beach - 1st day to benidorm was €1.60 one way took around 30-45 mins and its the no 10 from outside the hotel - a taxi is around €15 10min drive Also went to albir beach about a 10/15min walk away - this is a pebble beach so you do need your swim shoes There is a variety of shops nearby including 2 bizares a well stocked supermarket opposite hotel with a larger one and a lidl a bit further down the road within a 5min walk. We also discovered a Spanish version of the £1 shop which if your looking for kids bits an peices was slightly cheepet here...... The resort is lovely with a village theme it feels quite spacious to say how many rooms it has There is no late checkout available for us but weve been told there is shower rooms we can use Lovely little family getaway

So this hotel I guess like many rated 4* but I would say it is more a 3* having stayed in many across Europe including Spain. So let me give an honest review ... Staff...what a fantastic team they are , i think personally they are helpful and very friendly like the Spanish in general 🙂 we encountered a grumpy guy in reception but i think maybe he was having a bad day so I would rate these guys 5* especially the restaurant staff, wow what a fantastic hardworking team! Facilities... unfortunately for me my room was basic as it comes and a bit rundown , the bathroom tiles is an accident waiting to happen, the tap/ sink very old and worn. Beds were double plus a spare as one adult and two kids , so wasn't the most comfortable, pillows unfortunately you lie on them and your head sinks. I only came for 5 days and didn't plan to stay in the room so I guess didn't matter. There is a fridge, cupboard, safe that didn't work and place to dry wet clothes on the veranda my view was a weird backs back alley and bush. Pool area ...The pool is okay, I thought it needed some modernisation just like the rooms , lots of chairs umbrella if you can camp out then run at 9.30am to get one which i certainly didn't fancy doing as the floors are slippery , so for me people leaving their towels to occupy the chairs is just a no no...very bad, mainly Spanish and Brits here , couple other European guests , i think that perhaps for how many guests in the summer the pool area is small, pool i definitely rate 3*.. Let's talk gym... The hotel have a small gym area which is operated by the spa staff...i thought it is awesome to have a free gym the only setback is the opening/closing hours, the gym, tue-sat 10-6pm, people who usually gym it's early morning or perhaps 6 onwards but as a regular gym person , i did try it and it's enough to get your heart rate up and keep your muscles toned -3.5*. Spa...looked nice but unfortunately they were all booked up so didn't get a chance to visit! No rating ! Location... This hotel is about .7miles walking distance , about 14-15mins depends on your pace from the beach and a free shuttle bus is available but no set schedule you can get reception to call the shuttle for a pickup the service is free which is nice ,and this runs until 8pm with a lunch gap. There is a Lidls(yay)! next door so easy for water etc and opens until 10pm even on Sundays so that is excellent and looks like a very popular restaurant names Kathmandu, i can't rate the food but it looked popular! ...so for location i would rate this hotel a 4* Food...breakfast is the usual you get at these resorts nothing special and limited healthy option day 3 and basically same fruit pineapple and watermelon cut up and some other whole fruits the other fruit in syrup(eek sugar overload)...i found it a bit strange no healthy granola etc, not everyone enjoys a fry up...so for me wide range but doesn't cater healthy options. Lunch/dinner similar maybe with one or two dishes different but it is pretty much the same but when you pay for full board/all inclusive this is what to expect in most hotels so I won't rate this down there were plenty of sustainable food and a different fish everyday , kudos to the chef your prawn was awesome and kids enjoyed the cauliflower in batter, you can tell most guests enjoyed so this is me preferring healthier meals ...rating 3.75* (almost 4 but be nice to see an improvement) Cleanliness...i have to admit reception is spotless so is the restaurants, for me the downfall was my room when we arrived our room was cleaned but it looked like it was cleaned sometime ago and the cleaner just added , towels, extra bed etc, i can see why but the floors was dusty and balcony very dusty, the toilet seat when the lid down have a weird dust coming out But the good thing is the next day we had our room cleaned( thank you housekeeping), nicely mopped etc so that was all positive so even though this was a letdown in the room initially by far made up for everything else. The pool area though the sunbeds need a scrub and where the steps are by the pool it is kinda dark in the grout so maybe it's old and can't get off but no one seems to mind this. Anyway for me the cleaning i have mixed feelings on one hand the hotel is spotless, room initially wasn't as expected so I would rate this 3.5* Entertainment... unfortunately i didn't think the hotel entertainment was good at all , I did participate in the adult archery that was good but everything seems a bit disorganized but kudos to the young guy who did the lesson...For me most Spanish hotels especially in the summer have lots going on but this one I feel even though there was a board showing the entertainment it was pretty poor, the adult entertainment was mainly 10pm, but again not as entertaining as it should be, so I would rate this 3* I guess for effort and having some sort of free entertainment ... Overall...i would visit this hotel again and also would recommend but don't expect a 4 star maybe there is 4 star rooms i just didn't get one , i booked via a travel company so who knows , I felt the time of the year i travelled , this was good value for money and the hotel drinks even though I cannot comment on the alcoholic drinks, soft ones were reasonable, bottle sparkling water (agua con gas) is €1.75. I think I just had everything basic even though full board...I would rate these guys overall a 3* and lots of positives and lots need improving but to me anywhere you stay sometimes it is like this. But kudos to the staff they are simply fantástico and they are the true 5*'s, especially the restaurant folks! muchas gracias! Cons first, dirty pool toilets all week, rooms not cleaned just beds made. fresh towels sporadic had to ask for toilet paper 3 times whilst there, not given sheets for the sofa bed so had to improvise, beds are rock hard, grounds weren’t cleaned properly overnight so plates and cups in bushes from the snack bar the day before, people in the pool till midnight luckily our room was not pool side, inflatables not allowed in pool, sun beds are not adjustable ok if you can lie flat all week, the worst though was the food I’ve stayed in a lot of all inclusive and never have high expectations but this was really bad very small selection and badly cooked we had to eat out every night which is an expense you don’t expect when you’ve paid all Inclusive. Pros water park was brill, bus stop outside hotel to Albir beach and Benidorm €1.40 per person make sure you have masks though, pool bar did toasties pizza ETC bloke in there worked his little socks off! Animation team seemed ok bit repetitive though. Albir is a nice town lots places to eat irish bar down the street did good food and some nice places to eat on the seafront I’d advise going self catering if staying here. Beach was nice it’s pebbles though so get some shoes for the water as my feet killed on the stones. Aqualandia is a 20 min bus ride deffo worth a visit. Won’t be coming back to this hotel unfortunately due to the cleanliness and very poor food.
