We were a cycling tour group and were very happy with our relaxed stay. The rooms were great, the gardens beautiful, the staff very accomodating even providing a full breakfast much earlier than normal hours! Highly recommended!

We stayed at De Doornkrall on our road trip up the Garden Route. The room that we were given was enormous. There was a sitting area with 2 couches off the bedroom. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel as well. Both meals were tasty. We enjoyed a private wine tasting with cheese and crackers. We did not have time to explore the town, so I can not comment on it.

Clean, quaint hotel tucked away in riversdale. Couldn’t fault the service and cleanliness. Would definitely stay again. Just wish the weather had been better so we could use the pool. Good parking behind secure gates as well

The guest house is very neat, clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptional and were willing to go out of their way to accommodate our needs. I highly recommend this property. I will definitely be returning when I am in the area agin. The food is delicious

We drive past Riversdale 5 times a year and never stop there. This time I had a car breakdown and was "forced" to spend 2 nights waiting for a part to arrive....and what an awesome experience I had! The room was fantastic, the onsite restaurant was 5 star, but most importantly the service from all the staff was out of this world! Such friendly and helpful people - I will make it a mandatory stop every time we pass in the years to come! Highly recommended!!

The three of us had an overnight stop at De Doornkraal in Riversdale. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The dinner was exceptional (two of us are vegetarians), and likewise the breakfast the following morning. We enjoyed a visit to the Julius Gordon Africana Museum during the afternoon of our arrival as well as coffee at the Old Jail close by. We look forward to another stay at De Doornkraal when in the Riversdale area.
