This is a lovely small, family-run hotel set on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Seychelles. It is about a 35 minute drive from the airport and is rather windy and hilly. When we arrived fairly early in the morning we were welcomed with a cold drink and were able to get to our room straight away which was great after a very long flight.
Our room was large with an equally large en suite bathroom. It had everything we needed, large comfortable bed, tea/coffee, fridge, hairdryer, safe, seated area by a TV, two terraces to sit outside and enjoy the views which were absolutely stunning, Although the room was rather dated and the towels not particularly fluffy or white the view and location certainly made up for it.
Due to the fairly remote location we went half board and we were asked to pre-order our food each day. I have coeliac disease and therefore have to be very careful to stick to a gluten free diet to avoid becoming very ill. The chef and his staff managed this brilliantly and took great care to ensure that I had gluten free food throughout my stay for which I was very grateful.
The snorkelling was very good and we made our way around the rocks and across the next door resort’s beach (Four Seasons) observing quite an assortment of fish. It amused us that we were paying a fraction of the price they were paying at the next door resort but still enjoying a fantastic beach and their snorkelling. We were also interested to see that they are just finishing off some lovely large villas behind the hotel with their own plunge pools etc which looked fabulous and I think are available from June this year.
We loved our stay as we felt it was really personal rather than some of the larger hotels we have stayed at. All the staff were very helpful especially Charlene, Tim and Leanne and we would like to thank them very much for making our stay so enjoyable.

We spent a full week at Anse Soleil Beachcomber with our family of 12 persons. Ages 8-77. This is really a hidden gem at the Seychelles. The location is really great, but what makes your stay fantastic is the people! Charlene, Tim and the rest of the team really did their utmost to make sure we were happy throughout the stay. From hunting down special milk for one of the kids with an allergy, remembering what everyone liked at every meal and just being personal and smiling at all times. Tim drove us to the store for some shopping, and helped to organize boat trips and rentalcars.
We stayed with half-board, and both breakfast and dinner was very good. The menu is extensive for dinner, and the fact that it is only open to the hotel-guests gives a very nice a calm athmosphere in the restaurant. We also had lunch most days, which is good value and quality.
As for the location, this beach is the best one on Mahe, as well as the snorkeling. After travelling around most of the island on land and sea, we found nothing better. If you wish to have a great stay in Seychelles, this is the place!

Our family of two spent 9 nights at Anse Soleil beachcombers. We stayed in a standard double room. It's not a luxury, but you have everything you need. The view from the terrace is more than 5 *. The beach is number one for us on Mahe. You can go snorkelling from the beach. There are many colorful fish of different sizes. Some of the corals are also alive. On the left side of the beach there are many things to see underwater. Ideally, we can swim and snorkel despite the tides. The beach is also perfect, not overcrowded, with many palm trees and other types of trees. People can relax on the beach during the day. The place is a paradise for us, a hidden gem. Alison, Tim, Krishna and the whole staff are very responsive. The food is delicious. Breakfast and an optional dinner menu are available. I liked everything we ordered. I can recommend whole freshly caught fish prepared in Creole style as well as mango mousse for dessert.
We had planned two excursions, a day trip to Praline and a day trip to La Digue. Alison called a Creole Travel representative and everything was arranged quickly and accurately. He also arranges to rent a car, which is not very easy with so many tourists on the island. Thanks Alison! Thanks to all the staff of Anse Soleil beachcombers. A wonderful place and a wonderful experience!

On the up side, when we arrived our room’s air conditioning unit wasn’t working & we then found my husband had to walk up & down numerous steps & clamber over rocks to get to the beach so we went to discuss our options. The staff were incredibly helpful & moved us to a villa which had its own small pool. The villa was lovely & more in line with what we were expecting. We cannot thank ALL the staff for their kindness & helpfulness during our stay. Now for the not so good!
The hotel is in a lovely location marred by its not so attractive dining, reception & deck. We were extremely surprised as all reviews raved about it. At best I would give it 2 stars & the price is in line with 3 to 4 star.
The breakfast is mediocre with nice fruit, cheese & cold meat & you could order eggs. The butter pats all melted as no one thought to put them in a bowl of ice cubes. Not an appetising buffet by any stretch of the imagination.
The lunch menu was OK but the dinner menu has too many, poorly cooked dishes on it. The chicken curry was good but not quite sure what all was in it. My banana pancakes were thick & stodgy & my husbands fried fish was over cooked & dry. When you consider the prices, not good value for money.
Unless you have a car you are trapped as it is very, very hilly. The golf buggy picks you up & very efficient.
Do not consider this hotel if you have a walking problem as getting to the beach (no swimming pool on site) is very difficult.
In summary, if you are looking for a rustic, get away from it all holiday then this is the place for you.

The location is fantastic, right on the best beach in Mahé, Anse Soleil. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem and everything was performed in the smiling Seychelleoise style. The restaurant was amazing , we had dinner there twice and lunch once. Each meal was incredible, the varying coconut curries were delicious and the whole grilled fish was fabulous. There is also a very decent wine menu at reasonable prices which we made good use of. We had a self catering chalet which was very spacious, had stunning views over the bay and ocean, surrounded by lush vegetation. The chalet itself was very comfortable providing a big bedroom, large bathroom , ample storage for clothes, a lounge and very well equipped kitchen. The refrigerator was stocked with eggs, bread, milk, fruit juice, butter and various conserves which was a lovely touch and very useful as we had breakfast each morning on our beautiful terrace admiring the inspirational views. Being on the beach, the Hotel offers all sorts of goodies for you to enjoy. We took out snorkeling gear ( masks and fins) out for the day and had a great day discovering the unending variety of unbelievably coloured fishes. We also spotted some sea turtles, sting rays and small manta rays!! There are also paddle surf boards and kayaks for use. Unfortunately we could not use the late check out as the resort was fully booked, but they very kindly provided us with a day room for private use. Here we could leave our luggage safely and when departure time came we could have a nice shower before our travels. This was a very nice surprise. Many thanks for an unforgettable stay

The location is isolated and very private. This was perfect for us as we were enjoying two days there at the end of our trip and were planning on relaxing on the beach. However, you would need to rent a car if you want to see more of the island or want to go shopping or go to restaurants. The hotel arranged a taxi to pick us up at the Ferry port on our arrival and a Taxi to take us ( unwillingly)back the airport

The beach is the best in Mahé. It is very private with stunning turquoise water and beautiful white sand. There is an endless row of coconut palms, providing welcome shelter from the sun. Snorkeling here is great with both ends of the bay offering the most incredible assortment of fishes, turtles, rays and squids. Sunsets here are quite exceptional and a brilliant way to end the day.

Good accommodation, strategically positioned in South Mahè close to some of the most secluded and beautiful beaches in the island. Rooms overlook the gorgeous Anse Soleil, an unspoiled beach which boasts pristine turquoise waters. Each room is spacious, enjoys sea view, good wifi, bright bathrooms, nice verandah to relax on, lovely garden, delicious breakfasts with eggs and fresh fruit. Fantastic hospitality by Charlene and all the staff. Don’t forget to ask for some fresh citronelle (lemon grass) to enjoy for a well deserved break on the porch!

I spent here the first 5 nights of my stay in Seychelles. I must say that this hotel did not disappoint my expectations at all! Everything was perfect. My room was large and spotless. The external veranda was extremely comfortable to relax and enjoy the view of one of the most beautiful beaches in Mahe. Anse Soleil is actually a miracle of nature, and the location of the hotel lets you have access to it, as if it were your private beach! You cannot help stopping swimming, and doing snorkeling all around the huge rocks the hotel is built on. The hotel services were excellent: food was incredibly yummy both at breakfast and dinner time. The Staff were generous, always smiling and willing to do anything in order to make my stay memorable! They even allowed me to check in earlier and stay in room long after official check-out time. Last but not least, this hotel offers some really magical moments at sunset. It is unforgettable!

The "superior" room is very old and the floor overgrown with sand. The bed has very hard and uncomfortable mattresses that must be relatively old.
Sheets stained.

The hair dryer, don't count on it. A terrible smell is released after a few seconds of use.

With regard to the reception service NO professionalism.
The person in charge of looking after us was totally lost with inconsistent speeches. Nothing clear in the understanding.

On the first morning we were quietly eating breakfast when 2 staff members come within minutes of each other (no communication between staff) asking us what time is our transfer to the airport. Whereas it was planned only the next day.
(Is it possible to wait until we finish our breakfast maybe?)

During the day, when bous wanted to place an order for a cocktail, we signal to the waiter. He shows us the finger card, which was placed on the bar so we could go and get it. Sir was on videoCall. He took our order and prepares our drinks by talking with his interlocutor at tel. Not used to seeing that. Where's the professionalism?

At the end of our stay, we are offered a day room , to rest before departure. "With the same amenities as our room , just a little smaller". Actually, a catastrophe too. But still glad to have a place to land while waiting for our transfer.

This property is really not worth the price paid.

In short, the price/quality ratio is totally unjustified.
We definitely do not recommend this hotel.

The staff of the restaurant are very friendly and helpful.

Following the chaos at Dubai airport, we arrived 2 days late in the late evening and without the suitcase: the manager gave us an extra welcome, she provided us with toiletries and served us a voucher meal in our chalet: thank you again! She directed us to a clothing store and a pharmacy to buy the minimum necessary.
The location of Beachcomber on Anse Soleil is magnificent, the beach is very beautiful and without reefs.
The breakfasts and dinners are great.
The staff is very welcoming and smiling.
We only stayed there for one day unfortunately, thanks to Emirates!
A very recommendable address.

Excellent welcome by the manager Bhagat Pardhan. Always smiling and available, he goes out of his way to accommodate your requests. Helped in this by a dynamic team, in particular Sudipta, friendly and efficient butler.
We feast our eyes on the restaurant terrace overlooking the beach before succumbing to the delicious dishes.
The pool villa is a marvel: spacious bedroom overlooking the swimming pool, dressing room, bathroom and shower room, not forgetting the outdoor shower under the palm trees....
And what about the beach and the underwater world, a marvel!
