We have had the best 7 nights in Laila Resort. Every staff is attentive to our need and they are always ready to give recommendations around the island. The suite that we stayed in comes with an outdoor shower- a very nice touch after a day out in the sun. The outdoor deck is secluded and we had the best time moving indoors and outdoors. The bed is comfortable and we will miss it greatly. The hotel is attached to a beach restaurant. It is great to have a close enough option for lunch or dinner as sometimes it is difficult to find food.
We had an amazing time at their spa. Look for Grace and Sri! Their hands are magical!!

I just returned from a solo trip to the Seychelles, where I stayed at Laila. I flew over 20 hours from the US and was very much looking forward to this vacation. The interior decor- pool, rooms, lobby area are lovely. The staff are by far the shining star of this property. The staff at the bar, the restaurant, the spa were all friendly and professional. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner on various days during my trip at the restaurants and at the pool and the food was excellent. Cocktails were also excellent. The staff did an amazing job cleaning the room every day. There were some negatives, though about the property. There are several pictures on the hotel website that are misleading to say the least. The view from my room was supposed to be a “mountain view“ but really was just a view of the road in front of the hotel, it would’ve been nice to have a mini refrigerator and a bathrobe in the room. The website advertised both a deli and a business center, neither of which were present at the hotel. The beach is across the street and is very nice but again not as advertised in the pictures in the hotel website. When I was there the beach was covered with seaweed, they were no chairs to lounge on, and they were random boats, floating, not far from shore, all of which made it very unappealing to swim. The restaurant across the street from the hotel on the beach is a lovely setting, and the food was decent, but the service was absolutely the slowest service I have ever had anywhere in the world. Overall, I had a really nice vacation and the island itself is an amazing destination. I feel for the price that I paid for the room that some of the amenities were lacking and the surrounding area was surprising based on what was advertised on the hotel website.

This is a brand new hotel and a wonderful addition to Anse Royale. This is a superbly-designed development that makes imaginative use of a compact site and does not encroach on pristine beach-front (as many other new hotels do). With the focus of the hotel in and around the inner court, a tranquil environment has been created with a very effective tropical planting scheme (in and around the main building), which so well reflects the natural setting of Anse Royale. It was an absolute delight to be within such a harmonious space. From the time we arrived to when we left, all staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely enthusiastic about the new project. Food exceeded all expectations. There is a first-class chef at work! The room was very comfortable and had a lovely view of the sea (the beach is literally two minutes walk from the hotel). The standard of design and quality of furniture and fittings is outstanding. All in all, highly recommended.

A great boutique hotel to stay near Anse Royale and 15 mins drive from the airport. The location is great and there are shops and restaurants nearby. The breakfast spread is really good. The room has a unique decor and amenities are spotless and modern. The outside sitting area of the room was very nice, which was facing the swimming pool. The sleep quality was very good too. They have shower rooms to be used after check-out, which was very handy and helpful. The beaches are 3 mins walk across the road. They have only 7 sun umbrellas for the beach, which is a bit rubbish for a hotel this size and with the Marriott name.

We stayed two nights in Apr 2023 just three weeks after this hotel opened. Veronica and her staff were excellent, yet the property has some shortcomings. The setting is more urban than we expected. The building is coterminous with the lot, so rooms are on the street with no surrounding grounds. The door to our room faced the petrol station with morning street sounds drowning out the birds singing. The rooms have balconies facing the inner courtyard with a pleasant pool. For a new hotel in 2023, it's quite surprising there were no available power outlets by the bed. The two available outlets were across the room and there were no USB power ports. Most travelling couples will have four or more devices needing charging, so this seems super shortsighted. The beach is across the street. The breakfast buffet is standard and done well but nothing exceptional or unique. There is a spa, an excellent gym, and parking is free. We had a hot water problem that did not get resolved during our stay. Again, the staff were great, but we felt the property was overpriced for the experience compared to better designed and better located resorts elsewhere on the island.

The hotel was only opened in 2023 and is in very good condition. Everything was planned with great attention to detail and many natural materials were used. I had a sea view room, the view is great. The size and facilities of the room are perfect. The pool is very long and ideal for swimming. Nevertheless, everything is very quiet and you can relax great. Also the restaurant is excellent. The poolside bar offers delicious cocktails. Directly opposite is the beach restaurant Kafe Kreol where you can also eat and drink very well. There is often live music. You can also rent standup paddling boards for free and just a few meters from the beach you can see many fish snorkeling. The hotel is very beautiful, well thought of as far as dining options/selection and locations, bar and pool with great happy hours and entertainment; and all the gardens, including the homegrown veggies make it so welcoming. It’s just a street crossing from the most beautiful beach on Mahe Island - Anse Royale. And then about the hotel team - from check in with Samira and our bellman Kenny everything was perfect. Our corner garden suite with a beautiful mountain view was clean and spacious. The shower at the terrace and the comfortable furniture made it so romantic and cozy. Also Boniface at the front office was very helpful. We enjoyed the drinks and service of Themba at the pool bar and ery much appreciated the attention and our conversation with Bakari at the lounge for the afternoon tea. Each morning we were greeted with smiles by the breakfast crew - Erika, Anna Rita, James and Shettina especially who remembered our drink choices. They made the start of each day a special one. Next, Shah at Kafe Kreol bar was such an amazing person; he made sure we were well fed, had fresh drinks and we truly enjoyed our conversations with him as well. Indra- the security guard from Nepal didn’t stop working, sweeping, brought us pillows every day and moved us when it rained. Our experience at the Kafe was simply extraordinary and we didn’t want to go anywhere else because of the excellent service and of course the quality of the dining experience- from the shark chutney, the ginger wine crab to the excellent selection of wines and cocktails with locally sourced ingredients and liquors. So please recognize Chef Edward as well. Finally, Mike from Sales - what a genuine way to finish this memorable experience. He came to thank us, wanted to know if we had enjoyed our vacation and stay, genuinely cared about our experience. We chose Laila Resort for our stay in Mahe. This hotel is fairly new so it has such a modern look and feel. It is very clean and aesthetically appealing. Felt so calm in my own little sanctuary. The breakfast was served in the main restaurant. The breakfast had a wide variety of food to choose from. The hotel served afternoon tea and cake too at no additional cost. As you walk out of the hotel there is a beach just opposite where they have their main restaurant which is like an all day dining restaurant. The pasta, pizza and all the food here is superb. The ambience of this restaurant is like a beach club with hammocks suspended from trees. I could spend my life here just gazing at the beautiful sight. I was so overwhelmed and in love with this beautiful restaurant as the setting is just breathtaking. We hired a car and quite easily reached the tourist spots in and around Mahe.This hotel provides a free parking spot. Hiring a car is 60 Euros per day and is the best way to explore Seychelles. One suggestion is to stay for longer in Praslin than Mahe. I loved my stay here and cannot wait to go back. The hotel is modern and sophisticated and for people like me who only like luxury hotels only , you will love it here. Don’t even think twice before booking here! Just do it
