From the day I made a reservation, a lady who took my call was professional and sent my invoice quickly. The prices are very affordable and the staff is wonderful. Good secured location. Very child friendly. Clean air and water. I loved the place .

Hotel's Favourite
From the moment we arrived we had nothing but a good time. The staff are all so friendly and courteous. My wife loved the old school charm of the place (takes you back in time so not for people wanting 5 star luxury) with its beautiful gardens. We stayed in the garden rondavel which was perfect. The price to stay is very reasonable considering it included a substantial breakfast and dinner. On that note the food was absolutely delicious and so well presented (best croissant's we have ever tasted). The garden is perfect to have a before dinner cocktail overlooking the mountains and sunset. They organise many activities and we ended up the one night in the bar having a drink and playing bingo. Would definitely recommend The Nest.

The Nest has been around for many years and offers excellent value for money. Being a very old establisment you must expect to find that the accomodation has aged. However, the owners are continually upgrading the facilities and the staff are pleasent.

We visited as two couples recently and have to say that this place is in good need of a makeover! Apparently Quinn Elizabeth II visited here when she was a 21-year-old. I don’t think that the place has had any refurbishment done since she visited. The meals were a bit like school dinners, although we have to see that the staff were very pleasant. Don’t think we would hurry back.

Dear Markeverett What a pity we were just not your cup of tea because there are many different accomodation options in this beautiful valley. It would have been an honour if Queen Elizabeth II had visited The Nest but it was actually the Northern Berg some 2 hours away, which establishment no longer exists.

If its olde world charm, excellent service and a fabulous place to relax that you're after, look no further than The Nest. They have all the ingredients on hand to make your holiday thee most relaxing and affordable one of the year. From fabulous spa treatments to tennis/bowls, quad biking and hiking (both around the property and at the nearby Monk's Cowl resort), you are spoilt for choice. Add to that exceptional four course dinners, wonderful cooked breakfasts and two teas a day and youll be so grateful for the plethora of physical activities to choose from! Excellent! Rooms are superb and spacious, facilities are superb and so many things to do, staff are spot on and so friendly and helpful! The place is full of fresh, clean air. The meals and the tea time treats were so good and delicious. The only thing we have a complaint about was that the dinner meals were too small servings. Even though the menu details offer a second helping if you wish but my boys were too shy so biegger portions are better. But the meals were super delicious.

We decided to break with tradition and take a break for Christmas instead of the usual entertaining of friends and family. BEST move ever and could become the new routine. Met some great people and felt rested and relaxed after our 3 nights at the Nest over Christmas. The service was great ,the meals tasty and resort lovely.

My husband and I had the most awesome Christmas and New Year's stay at The Nest. From friendly staff to the most comfortable night's sleep on the a amazing mattress. The property is a bit dated but has a wonderful charm. We were fortunate enough to make wonderful memories and alot of the guests had been regular guests for a number of year's which says alot. We definitely go back. Lastly the new year's eve party was out of this world. Warm regards
