From the amazing views, awesome location, clean and well maintained facilities, to the wonderful people who run the place, Mountain Speldor is the best camping experience me and my family have had. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to the Drakensburg. Simply the best!

This resort is perfect for a family getaway. It has an entertainment area, pool, park, tennis courts, giant chess, volleyball ball and bicycle track. There are many accommodation options to choose from including caravanning, camping, glamping and log cabins. We stayed in a log cabin with amazing mountain views. The cabin was fully equipped (excluding towels) with an inside fire place and outside braai. We had such a nice stay and will definitely be back. The kids loved it.

Room Tip: Bring your own bath and swimming towels. And definitely bring bicycles for the kids!

Well done to the mountain splendour team for maintaining an absolutaly amazing gem of a resort. Amazing camp sites with awesome views and best ablution facilities we have ever experienced. We camped at the luxury private ablution site with our 6 month old baby and it was such a joy being there. The facilties are so clean and well maintained, great playground, great swimming pool and very helpfull and friendly staff. We also went to see the shared ablution and was amazed by the standard of these facilities and the fact that there are 2 family bathrooms available (especially with a 6month and 5 year old) blew our mind. I went for a 10km MTB trail ride and the trails are so well maintained! The kids love the farm animals, the kidies bike track and the wide open spaces!!! We will definately be back there sooner than later!

To Ian, Sue, Maureen, Leon, Antoinette, and all the staff. Huge thanks to you all for making our 2 week stay the most amazing experience. We loved every moment and could not believe how caring and friendly every member of staff was. Tea and scones were delicious, park and ablutions spotlessly clean, walks and views absolutely gorgeous, and of course the pool, wonderful playground, animals and horse rides made the grandchildren's stay with us a very memorable one for all. Congrats on having one of the best resorts I have ever stayed in - and I have done a few! See you all again soon.

What a perfect quiet place. When I was there I only shared the premises with two other couples. Spotless ablution blocks, best showers I have ever seen on a camp site. There are even bath tubs for those who prefer that. Beautiful pool, amazing view of the mountains from my site. Lots of farm animals and feeding activities, so this also seems a perfect place for families with kids. Reception was closed when I arrived late on Sunday, but a friendly member of the security staff kindly helped me get set up. The incredibly friendly staff went out of their way the next morning to inform me about the myriad hiking opportunities in Monk’s Cowl, which is only a stone’s throw away. Highly recommended.

My wife and I attended a wedding at the eco-resort. We were blown away from start to finish by the incredible views and friendly /helpful service. The glamping option was fun and surprisingly luxurious - the venue supplies all you can ever need to have a restful and enjoyable stay. There's lots to do during the day time although needless to say, a car is a must!

Allthough the place was almost deserted when we we here, staff was very friendly and service level was high. Ablution block recently renovated which was excellent. Nice view of the mountains. Bicycles for rent, tennis, chess. Pool was closed but looked very nice
