An outstanding location, stunning views and pool, friendly service and one of the best kids playgrounds ever! The beds are so comfortable and housekeeping was efficient and excellent. The managers could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Can’t wait to visit again, highly recommended.

Overall experience was good, but there are few things that could be better. They have menu that changes regularly, but then some ingredients not available. The towels could do with some upgrade. The executive room should have lounge at bottom and bedroom at top (as it is now the lounge is completely wasted - especially on rainy days). Service was either outstanding or mediocre, depending on who served you. Zethu and TK was great. This is a pricey venue (e.g. Drakensberg Brewery Blonde just about double the price here as at brewery down the road and wine between 150/200% of retail price.) Still you expect to pay more but then at leas they can wash mud of your car while parked, as you traverse muddy road to get there. Don’t try to work remotely there - both cell reception and their own wi-fi is weak. View is absolutely best!

Dragonview is very beautiful, the view is breathtaking and we enjoyed taking pictures there as friends. However the downside was the service. Which was surprising as the last time we went there we had a great time being served by Debbie and Mondli. Today however we made sure to book a table in advance, we got there and we were shown a table outside, which we sat at as we wanted to enjoy the sunset but we mentioned we want to sit inside as it will get cold. The lady said she’ll organise but never did. Her and Thokoza served us but the energy was very off - we are locals perhaps that had an influence on the treatment we received (which it shouldn’t as our money is the same as any other guest). We asked for candles at our outside table, they never came. The Bacon Avocado and Feta pizza- which had no Feta - but still the same price. And it was also uncut we had to cut it ourselves at the table - the excuse was there’s 2 people in the kitchen tonight. At the very end we were paying and asked for a separate tab- which we didn’t get again and were made to pay a 10% gratuity by force. Which we would have no problem paying if the service was actually good. I’m very disappointed and it will be my last visit unfortunately. The attitude and energy and terrible service towards us ruined our night and I strongly urge you please improve on it- and treat every guest as a guest. Thank you.

A long overdue review for one of the most outstanding accommodation offerings in the Drakensberg. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this gem nestled in the Drakensberg mountains. The food and beverage offering was exquisite, the staff especially Anneri was absolutely amazing and the hotel amenities were spectacular.

I loved this property! The room, staff, food, and location were absolutely perfect! The room was very comfortable/large, facing the beautiful mountains in the distance. The staff went above and beyond, making me feel as this was a home away from home. Kudos to the chef, as every meal was made to perfection; he was also kind enough to prepare a dish from his home country. Management is doing everything right! The area is breathtaking and also offers many fun options to fill ones's time. This was the perfect holiday to decompress and I am awaiting my return.

After packing up from our extended weekend in the berg. We decided on one last brekkie. Dragon view lodge came highly recommended. Admittedly the food took a tad longer than we expected to arrive, but the coffee and service was exceptional. Pearl and Roy were outstanding. The view was breath taking. The manageress on duty could do with soft skills training. The manner in which she addresses her staff and customers could be perceived as harsh. Other than that, we will be back on our next visit. Good choice in coffee. Coastal Coffee, gensis is my favorite.

A bit of a windy drive in and some gravels roads but well worth it. Views are stunning, menu is a bit pricey for some items bit the food had great flavours. All the dishes were great from chicken livers to cinnamon french toast and a fantastic baby chicken. Came here for the kids play area and they did not disappoint. Even better views from here, also have climbing walls, balance activities and great photo spots!

We did not stay overnight here but enjoyed a really lovely lunch on the Dragonview Lodge patio. Vistas are incredible and the decor is incredibly tasteful. Staff are wonderfully friendly and efficient.Accommodation looks fabulous and the rock pool just adds to the classiness of this venue. Definitely worth a visit!

Visited the Lodge as a day visitor. Watched the Springbok rugby there on a big screen and had the most amazing steak sandwich. The kids playpark is phenomenal. Definately the best in the area. Beautiful views for sundowners. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very much recommended.
