Pleasant Owner and Staff. Clean. Comfortable beds except sofa-bed which is horrid. Very good breakfast selection. Staircase access only could be a problem for mobility impaired Like so many things in Milfontes the price is excessive.
This is a perfect place to stay and in a great location! It is lovely in every way! They are so accommodating, the rooms are new and appointed so nicely with updated bathrooms, robes and everything you need to make your stay great! Breakfast was also great and the owner so nice. I think this is the nicest hotel we saw in the entire town and I highly recommend it!…
My husband and I recently stayed at Guarda Rios for 2 nights. This is a small, cute place in a nice location in Vila Nova de Milfontes. Our room had a balcony with a beautiful view, and was very clean. The bathroom was pretty updated too. Breakfast was adequate, although there were limited options, but this was expected from such a small place. Staff members were friendly. Location was great - a quick walk to the water and restaurants. Unfortunately, the bed was rock-hard (although I did not wake up with any soreness from this) and the soundproofing was really poor overall. We could hear doors slamming, other guests talking, and phones ringing often. We still had a nice stay, but would definitely take the lack of soundproofing into consideration if we return to Vila Nova de Milfontes.…
My wife and I had a wonderful holiday at the Guarda Rios. We were impressed with the perfect maintenance of the place, how clean it was, and everything you needed during the stay was in the room. Including a corkscrew. The beds were perfect and the room spotless. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river mouth and the ocean. Just the place to relax with a bottle of wine. The staff was superb and could not do enough for you. The breakfast was wonderful. If you want an espresso coffee just ask for it. The hotel is in a very quiet street and nothing disturbed our sleep. We could not fault this hotel on anything.…
This is a small but very warm and friendly hotel which you are invited treat as your home. There is a fire in the evenings with a tray of cakes, teas and liqueurs for you to help yourself. We had a beatifully decorated, spacious and spotless room with a super view of the bay and couldn't have been more comfortable. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and good with freshly baked bread, fresh juices, yoghurts as well as fruits, hams and local cheeses plus eggs cooked to please. And not to forget our kind and courteous hostess, muito obrigado.…
