Top of my list is the peace and quiet, away from the morning noises of the work and school environment...beautiful surroundings for pictures and memoirs, friendly and helpful staff at all departments.Rooms are clean and well kept.Very comfortable beds ( not standard single beds) fit for the oldies which we are....linen crispy clean with a fresh daily supply of towels, hot water supply galore. My only minus however was the use of shower curtains (which I personally nearly tripped on) also considering that the light to the shower is also a fan which is not ideal for chilly weather.... otherwise the room becomes dark.As for breakfast...the best ever buffet served with love (thanks to Anthony and the team). For dinner though, there was very limited choice and the promised buffet was like an ordinery family meal, for the price it was not worth it.Overall beautiful place worth re-visiting.The group is already introducing to their private groups and families.

The Venue Country Hotel & Spa is a great, tranquil resort type establishment. While the room was comfortable, it is in need of a refurbishment. The cuisine was great and the staff provided excellent service. There are beautiful gardens and views surrounding the pool | bar and restaurant area. Spa treatments and bush drives are available for guests. Thank you to Antony and Theo for ensuring we had a pleasant stay.

Booked a birthday weekend for my family at this beautiful hotel and Spa well-positioned as we wanted to explore Hartbeespoort with our 1 year old. Firstly, not even the front Lady noticed we checked in on my birthday and felt the need to make an observation on it but that issue aside, there were both hits and misses, though more of the latter as I would like to detail below. First, to the misses. Upon arrival, there are stairs that lead up to the reception area and no ramp for easy access. We checked in on a raining night and could not be assisted with an umbrella and the stairs did not make moving our wheeled luggages any better. Mind you, we did so carrying our 1 year old on us without any assistance from the main desk. A ramp also makes it easier for wheelchair access. The parking area is located at a significantly far distance from the rooms although a positive there is the shaded parking that's available, protecting cars from rain or hail. It's a long walk from the parking lot to Room 66 for instance. We did not sign any register whatsoever upon us getting to the entrance by the security boom gate, which we felt served as a safety concern. No temperature check was ever done on us upon either entering or exiting. Hand sanitizers are available but not a lot, I struggled to locate one at the restaurant through I later found two of them when I looked closely. An easier access and signage for these especially as a result of Covid-19 would come in handy. The room was simple nice and cozy, though with an odd layout. The coffee station is found inside the wardrobe for instance. Room needed maintenance, from the ceiling that appeared to be coming apart to the entrance at the bottom of the toilet and shower area to be specific. We specified that we're coming with a one year old upon booking. There is literally nothing that the hotel did to accommodate our little one except for a larger bed. Upon arrival, we were told no room comes with a bath tub as we enquired so we had to use the shower and small basin for our little one. We should have brought our baby bathing dish from home to make things easier for us. At breakfast, which was very basic and nothing to write home about, no high chair for our little one was available. We had to eat while holding him on our laps each time we were at the restaurant. I must add that the kitchen manager on duty attended to our request to make a fruit salad, for our little one with which we appreciated. Overall the restaurant staff service is also not the best. To some positives now. The hotel comes with a lot of rooms, 66 in total so there is variety and the hotel seems busy. There is a games room and Lapa/Bona area, ideal for larger groups to connect and engage. Hotel is neat, beautiful with lawns and pool which are well kept. The hotel does try to accommodate children with having playing toys and I saw a jumping castle available. A twin plug was available in the room, together with an extra blanket, working air1con, clean, fresh towels and limited satellite TV. There is a spa nearby, which we did not make use of, and a shuttle service is provided from the hotel which serves as a plus. WiFi during our stay did not work at all. Food in the restaurant is okay but needs to improve in terms of taste and variety on offer both for breakfast and dinner options. The biggest change I would immediately implement is having a registry for each car coming into the hotel from the entrance at the security boom gate point and prioritizing Covid-19 precautions at the hotel by screening guests, enforcing the wearing of masks and having hand sanitizers easily available at dedicated points, which are visible around the hotel, and not just at the entrance by the reception. Hotel is ideally placed for exploring the gem that is Harties but our stay overall, not very memorable.

The Venue hotel is a lovely place to relax. The staff are truly the best asset although the beds and especially pillows are super fluffy and comfy. The restaurant offers only a few options for lunch and dinner, so for an extended stay I would suggest venturing out. The staff are pure GOLD-friendly, helpful and always willing to get what you need to make your stay as perfect as possible!

Budget friendly accommodation, next to the R512 main road. Restaurant and bar on-site as well as an exclusive day spa. Large gardens, swimming pool and kids play area. Sufficient outdoor seating and dining room area is spacious. The standard rooms are spacious enough and have an outdoor shared patio area. Tea/coffee maker in the room, with an en suite bathroom. TV and air-conditioning in the room, with extra blankets. Ladies, no hairdryer, so bring your own. Enough power points in the room. Evenings and early mornings are cold. The food was tasty and the staff friendly.

Good morning, How disappointing our stay was at The Venue Hotel in Hartebeespoort. I'm not sure where to start so I'll start at the beginning of our stay! My biggest mistake was not going onto Hello Peter to see the reviews ☹. Well done you have a star rating of 1-star. That’s pathetic. 1. We got there and NOT one Covid protocol was followed, no one reminded us to sterilize our hands, the stand was hiding behind the entrance, no temperatures were taken or recorded so at this lodge Covid is not an issue. 2. The RUDE receptionist BARELY greeted us, with NO MASK on and seemed rather annoyed we were distracting her from whatever she was busy with. She had ZERO personality, unfriendly and barely offered us the information we needed. 3. When I made the reservation we were told we can't use the pool due to Covid and then well no one bothered to update us that things have changed and that we could make use of the pools. So there was a poolside relaxation opportunity missed. 4. We got to a room that was COMPLETELY mediocre and needed a sh*t load of work, the sliding door screamed each time you tried to open and close it. The bathroom handles are falling off and there aren't even covers over the light switches. One of the plug points had melted and couldn't be used so the bedroom was a disaster in and of itself. 5. At no point were we advised we were allowed to bring our own drinks as the other guests around the pool had cooler box after cooler box of drinks while we had to order from the bar. 6. Anyway sitting down to lunch I had to ask the waiters to put their masks on, again no Covid at this resort, very lax and nonchalant. No protocols are cares were taken. 7. Thereafter an evening at the spa, we returned to a room that's plugs had tripped and had to call for assistance. Then the kettle wouldn't work and to top it off the Wi-Fi couldn't be fixed. What makes me super sad is that I staked my 8 year anniversary on this place and it was so terrible, I booked it for my husband and I and I was so embarrassed, just so you know we ran out of there to rather pay for breakfast somewhere else because we couldn't bring ourselves to being there anymore. Luckily I can post this review everywhere so people don’t make the same mistake I did.

The Place is hospitable and off the beaten track. Value for money. Location of The Venue Country Hotel is convenient, all other places of interest within striking distance in the Hartebeespoort area. The staff very friendly and the service is up to scratch. The Lesedi Cultural Village is opposite the Venue Country Hotel as well as the Lion enclosure next door.

What a lovely place to stay. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and informative. The room was lovely and the bed really comfortable - just what we needed. In fact, we enjoyed our night there so much, we stayed for two.

I came to The Venue (resturaunt) twice and the service has never been Good. Both experiences were the worst. The restaurant staff does not care about the customers needs and they are very unprofessional and bad trained. The manager has a very bad attitude. And the food does not taste good. First time they served me stale burgers. The second time it was cold food. And no one cared to ask if i need a drinks menu or anything to drink.

My partner and I checked into THE VENUE COUNTRY HOTEL AT HARTIES on 10th November. We dropped off our luggage in room 65, went out to Harties for sightseeing when we came back after 2hrs30mn all our personal belongings were stolen. That day the same incident happen to room 64 (room next door to us) We lost everything (cloths, jewelries, money gift and money) It took the manager on duty hour to attend to our grievances and almost 4 hours to move us to a different room because we were not longer safe to sleep in room 65. The room that was given to us after the incident as a replacement had 2 singles bed instead of queen size bed initially requested by me when I was making my reservation. In the morning NO tooth brush or tooth paste were offered to us for our morning hygiene. No follow up was done in the morning with regards to our wellbeing. We did not see any sense of urgency from the staff to assist us during our awful and unforgettable experience. I have noticed later that the hotel doesn't have adequate security in their premise .Very poor security. No CAMERAS AND LIGHT AROUND THE PREMISES AT NIGHT . Further to that to the theft happening in their premises, guest /cars were not checked when exiting or entering the premises. The Hotel doesn’t want to take full responsibility of the incident and the lack of security. I did NOT receive any calls from the management with regards to the incident (I initiated the conversation with the manager Deon) I will appreciate the management take full responsibility of the incident and find a suitable solution with regards to our stolen luggage. WE SURELY WILL NOT ALLOW OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO GO THROUGH THE SAME TRAUMA we went through. It has been worst experience ever for us . I am still looking forward for the management to take responsibility of our lost luggage (which we reported to the police) and find a suitable arrangement to reimbursed our lost items

From the details in the above review, this incident happened over a year ago according to your timeline. We are certain that at the time of the incident our operation team investigated the alleged theft and made direct contact with you.
