This place must just FALL. I bought the voucher also through groupon. The date was confirmed in August for this weekend. Yesterday I emailed them confirming that I am still coming and due to work commitments I will be checking in late. An hour later I received an whatsup telling me that ESKOM will be fixing the lines, and there won't be any services. I was shocked, and did not believe it, I sent them the confirmation and suddenly there will be power failure. They don't have a decency to call you and apologise, what kind of a business is run by whatsup,I told them that we really don't need electricity because massages and boat ride don't need electricity. As long as we have lights in our room, candles etc, I was told that the staff were told not come, REALLYYY, I work in customer service I culd have taken this opportunity to please the client!!! they think I am stupid, During load shedding I booked to a place where they did not have electricity and we enjoyed ourselves because most activities are done during the day and at night you go there to sleep only. I called ESKOM to check, it was not registered anywhere, unless its a private situation that is not recorded. I was looking forward to CELEBRATE my birthday this weekend and already packed and I get this treatment. ANYONE WHO HAS BOOKED JUST CHECK IF YOU WILL STILL BE ACCOMODATED, its now late all other places are booked, THEY ARE THE WORST AND MUST FALL. THEY HAVE RUINED MY BIRTDAY

I bought a Groupon voucher for what seemed like an amazing 'deal' as a birthday surprise for my hubby (turns out that it really was too good to be true!)
Trying to book turned into one long, nightmarish saga:
The first time I called, I was told that the person answering the phone couldn't deal with my booking and someone would call me back the following day. No-one did. So I called again, and spoke to a young woman who again for some reason could not deal with my booking over the phone and asked me to send an email, which I did.
Several days later, having heard nothing, I called again. I expressed my frustration at the lack of response to my attempts to enquire about availability and make a booking and was told that only the manager could deal with bookings and that he would call me back later that day. By 7.20pm I had heard nothing, so called again and was told that there was no-one there to deal with my request so the manager would call me back tomorrow. I told the person on the phone that they had better make sure that he did, otherwise I would cancel my booking.
Guess what? No-one called... so I phoned again and was told that I needed to email my request (which I pointed out I already had done and had received no reply) with the Groupon voucher attached and that the manager would respond. This time the person who answered the call was actually able to look in the diary and tell me whether the weekend I wanted to book for was available. I duly sent them an email with the voucher attached.
I'm sure I don't need to explain that to this day I have never received a response... So I decided that this establishment does not deserve my money and requested a refund from Groupon, who handled my request quickly and efficiently, which is more than can be said for Malibu Mansion.
I am reasonably tolerant of not-so-great customer service, but this treatment (or lack thereof) from Malibu Mansion was totally ridiculous!! How do they expect to run a sustainable business if they don't even bother to respond when customers are trying to book and they never return calls?! Shocked and appalled to say the least...

I'll never recommend this to anyone. We bought groupon special for R799. 99 which included: massage, facial, pedicure and manicure and boat ride with glass of champagne but what we got was a slap on our face. To start with, the people are so unprofessional. Their signage is not visible and easily to pass the place. When ou get to the gate, there is no you have to call to get in and the no is on voicemail. We were told to be there by 12:30 and they booked us on a boat that leaves at 3:00. We were six ladies and we got there, they only had to people to do our massages and facials and the massage and facial takes an hour. one of the ladies that does the facial, had this dirty apron. we were taked to the massage room. One of the ladies did facial and the other did the massage. the massage was so horrible I felt like i was my 5 year old nephew was giving me a massage. The other lady was giving my sister was doing my sister a facial. After I was done with my massage I thought they would change the towels but no they didnt. It makes you question yourself, how many people did they use the same towel that me and my used . When me & my sister were done with our massage, it was already 2:10. now we have to travel to BOATERS WORLD for boat ride. Apparently the owner of Malibu Mansion and Boater 's world is the same person.
We were given a map, no scrach that, we were given a drawing to ttake us to were boaters world is and we were told to look for Nico. We got lost, we called the owner and he gave us a no to call the guy who is incharge of the boat, i forgot hiis name. When were called the guy, it was already after 3. He told us they have been waiting for us for 30minutes , we told him we got lost. he said to us, everybody that's been given that 'drawing'never got lost its only us. We asked what does that mean coz they were leaving, he said he does know. We decided to go home, while we were on our way home he called and said he would come fetch us where were. The guy never came, never called. All our R2400 down the drain. WE GOT THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND mALIBU MANSION OR BOATER'S WORLD to anyone.

This was a groupon booking. This Spa is still very much in its early stages. The owner and staff is very friendly and room very nice. Hopefully it can become everything that the owner is wanting to do. We did have a very relaxing time. Breakfast was good.

Enough said with the title.

This place is a no go zone unless you're okay with sub zero standards.
We bought a Groupon. Making a reservation was a nightmare. times for arrival were changes many times.
When we finally got there, they changed the time again. The yacht that was advertised was not a yacht, it's a small motor boat.
The owner has no understanding of customer service, we were spoken to in a terrible manner and when we asked for a refund, we were asked to just leave.

Luckily through much negotiation with Groupon and the poor manager who just started that week managed to arrange a full refund.

Again, never visit here, it's terrible

It's sounds like this place had a rough start, but we had a wonderful experience. The room was very nice and clean, and the massage was sheer bliss. Breakfast was great. The staff and management was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my time at the pool and bar. This was a great value and I look forward to coming back.

We bought the Groupon voucher for accommodation, massage and Yacht ride with champagne! Accommodation was not too bad, but the massages were terrible and never got the yacht ride. Not a big variety of drinks and there were no ice. Owner was asked to bring ice for the guests (us and another couple) and he arrived with 1 very small bag. Everything had to be arranged through whatsapp and then they did not even answer the whatsapps. We prepared for the boat ride on the Sunday and the owner told us that there were problems with the boat and that we could get a free night's accommodation at any other time. Booked the free accommodation with "new management" for 19/12/2015 and by 17/12/2015 were told that they could not accommodate us "due to unforeseen circumstances". Maryke also could not confirm if I would still have my accommodation for 2016 and it would be the owner's decision. To this day I cannot get hold of them on both numbers or whatsapp. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone...that is if they even still exist!
