Detailed Reviews
It has so much potential, but needs to be managed efficiently. Please clean the bathrooms thoroughly, and find an alternative for the unhygienic shower curtains. If you expect many visitors on a day like New Year's, get extra security and cleaners.

Stayed here for a week at the start of the year. It was cheap and cheerful. A lot of day visitors are allowed in - actually too many. The skate park is good if you like big ramps (BIG ramps) but not if you are a technical jumps and obstacles boarder. The kids loved the slide. Fridge was leaking when we arrived because someone had switched it off and there was nothing to clean the floors with. I think they meant to switch the electric hob off because even just plugged in and switched off it was still on (a bit dangerous). Bedding wasn't changed for the whole week which was unexpected given how hot it was. Bring your own digi box and cables for TV. There are signs saying no noise/music allowed, although everyone ignores that and it isn't enforced - it was really noisy! But people did quieten down after about 10pm. Friendly campers and staff. Pools were pretty dirty - the filters probably need a good clean and to run longer than they do.

There are absolutely no control at the resort, people are having party's and load music till the early hrs of the mornings and nothing is dine to keep people to the rules. People are camping on stands that was booked and you need to set up camp in the sun as nothing is done to control the booked stands. I will not recommend any one to go to the resort as you are in for a very rough time. No sanitizer is provided at the bathrooms as required, This is defiantly no value for money and absolutely no control of the resort.

The day was quite nice! we all went to sleep about 9 o'clock! here at about 10 before 12 I woke up to our tent beening shaken! the next moment I heard our tent being torn open! I then started screamed and grab my kids! I started screaming I just hear they said to me hey hey hey! but as they cut open the tent with the knife they blinded me with a torge! so I struggled to see trying to just grab my kids! I keep yelling my fiancée woke up and grabbed his gun! He jumped up to what was going! as they were just standing and staring to see what my fiance is doing onces they saw his firearm they took off! no security guards! we asked for security guards to come and stand by us while we were packing no one came! once they left the hartepeespoort resort they went to the resort next to ours!

Where to start? The campsites are in a circle with the water tap and electrical points in the middle. This is great if you are a group of campers. Our camp site had paper thorns in the grass and large sandy patches. The ablution blocks are not finished very well inside, are dirty, have no power or vanity space and the showers are close with dirty green curtains. The pools are dirty; the baby pool smelt of beer and there were girls swimming in there underwear. The water slide was a great trill but is a safety risk as the wooden beams and steps are warn through and have holes in them. All around the grounds, scattered, are unprotected building materials (bricks, logs, basins etc) lying around which could be a risk to small children. Also the resort is close to the main road, so you hear the cars all the time.

Hi there, I made a booking with hotels. Com this morning, just wanted to confirm my booking and ask a few questions about the resort before we go there. It is so disappointing that I have been given the run around the whole day where no one could help me, instead they keep on telling me to call back in 20 min, the staff there actually even dropped the call on me twice, because I asked about the resort and they did not know if there were brasi facilities at the log cabins, this makes me want to really cancel my booking there, I've even been told that they were going to call me back on 0123706080, my name is cassim, very disappointed customer as to how I've been treated

We stayed in one of the six sleeper units. Very clean and very spacious. We stayed for two nights (Friday and Saturday), the unit was not serviced until we left which was a bit disappointing.
However, good value for money, everything worked, a large variety of kitchen utensils, extra blankets for the winter nights, and free braai wood.
The grounds are lovely, lots of space for the kids to run around, and dogs are welcome too. Putt Putt, swings, jungle gyms, swimming pool, trampoline all available.
The bird life is wonderful. The Vervet monkeys are real chancers, so beware to keep the doors and windows closed otherwise they get in and steal your food.
I will definitely go back again.

It's pretty basic, which is ok, but what has granted them the lowest rating from me is the staff. I've been here a few days as almost the only camper and today arrived back to find the monkeys totally ransacking my campsite. Food everywhere, crap, and rubbish strewn all around. It's Africa, I get it, but not when FIVE staff are 20m away watching from the kiosk and bar as if it's entertainment...doing nothing. They even watched me clean it all up including THEIR turned over bins. At least the white lady and her bar man husband had the decency to slink away, embarrassed when I pointed them out and shook my head in disgust. Looking forward to the owners response on this comment. You should be ashamed.
