The smokey charcoal room was outstanding! Elsa's artistic flair is evident in her style and decor. We enjoyed the most relaxing weekend in her beautiful garden and pool. The amenities are perfect, the room was clean and Elsa affords you privacy whilst also opening her home to you as though you are family. Timothy, her right hand man, is exceptional in welcoming you and seeing to your every need. I cannot recommend this beautifully decorated home away from home enough for a romantic break, centrally located in Hartebeespoort, with a short walk down to the dam.

What an incredible experience! We stayed over here on a business trip. Arrived after a hectic day on the road and was tired and a bit grumpy. The moment we stepped into the Art House Yard all of this disappeared. We were transported into another world. Colorful, bright, creative, inspiring. We were taken on a tour of the guest house and the rooms and the more we saw, the longer we wanted to stay.
Each room has it's own unique theme and all the artwork is done by artist owner, Elsa - who is a renowned wild life artist.
The common areas and the area around the pool was a bit like Alice in Wonderland. We could not stop looking and stealing ideas! Awesome.
Although Elsa is famous for her wildlife paintings, I found her other work truly evocative. Absolutely beautiful portraits.
Elsa herself is an inspiring delightful person. We had long chats with her and will hopefully be able to join her for her soon to be hosted art workshops!
For the accommodation - we got the beautiful grey room with a large bed - and bath! Plus a small kitchenette if you want to cater yourself. Small touches like the silver tray with sherry on the bed made us feel really special.
What an amazing stay! I will definitely be back!

My daughter and I spent 1 night at The Art guest house. It was absolutely beautiful. The artwork and the decorating style is unique and interesting. Beautiful garden and peaceful surrounds. The bedroom was well equipped, bed comfy and warm and the host very friendly. Definitely recommend staying here. Thanks for having us.

My wife and I along with her Parents recently stayed at the Art Guesthouse in Harties. We were down for a close friends wedding and didn't really know the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The incredibly artistic host Elsa is very welcoming and friendly. We spent time walking around the property and checking out her art. When we left we could honestly say our accomodation played a significant part in our experience. It is definitely a unique and special place! Thanks so much Elsa!

the network for DSTV was a bit faulty as it kept on saying no signal. As it is a semi self catering unit, please avail a mop etc or cleaning services (which I understand will be at an additional cost) for the guests. overall it was a wonderful break, very peaceful for any couple or anyone who needs a break.

We only stayed one night at the Art Guesthouse, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ria was an excellent host and gave great suggestions for the area for dinner and what to see. The place has a lovely character and is really unique! A great pool which we enjoyed. Our room was great too, everything as described. An excellent start to our holiday!

An awesome gem we found for our overnight stay in Harties. The unit was clean, had beautiful art and we got spoilt with good scones for breakfast. The garden transports you to a mystical place and one cannot stop feasting your eyes.

The Place was too lovely. The outdoor and art feel of the place was so refreshing. I would definitely stay there again if I were to visit Hartbees again. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was proper as well.
