On our way to Atrani, after a late flight we stayed at Luxor Hotel. Exceptionally clean with sparkling white decor, we had a comfortable stay with great service from the night manager who gave us prosecco and snacks on the house despite the late hour. And amazingly, the cab we took from the airport called to say he’d found my mobile on the back seat and drove back to return it, a very kind gesture. Having said that, I would next ask time the hotel to arrange a shuttle as it cost us €40 plus a €20 thank you for returning my phone! Overall, a very pleasant short stay and highly recommended.

My first time traveling ouside the U.S., I was a senior lady alone, and my flight was delayed. I was stranded in Naples with nowhere to go and a phone that was "waiting to activate" and of no use unless I was somewhere I could connect to Wifi. I landed in Naples close to 10:30 in the evening, and my son-in-law told me to go to the Luxor. I found a taxi, got to the hotel, and found to my horror my son-in-law had not checked reservations, and the hotel was full. Ready to cry, feeling frustrated, and nervous, I had decided to return to the airport and start all over. Enter the night manager. First, he escorted me to their dining area and invited me to sit on one of their beautiful white couches. He made and brought me the best cup of cappucino I have ever had in my life complete with swirls of cream without my asking. This gentleman then assured me he would help. He offered to call hotels in the area to find me a room to no avail. He then worked some magic to give me a room to spend the night. The room was extraordinarily clean, an extra woolen blanket was offered, and he gave me extra soap and shampoo for a long hot shower. He even offered to order in pizza for me to eat. And I slept peacefully. The next morning the same manager was there to greet me. He again made me a cup of cappucino and escorted me to a table where he brought me juice and pastries. He called me a taxi. He spent some extra time making sure I was all right. I will forever be grateful for his willingness to help me, to show me kindness, to care about their "Lost American Lady." I would highly recommend the Luxor. The place was beautiful, clean, and the staff exremely helpful and kind.

We only stayed for the one night as we had to leave for the airport at 4.30am, staff were very helpful, but didnt serve food or drink, we had to wander out across a busy main road to a restaurant, very daugnting, we did find a chicken place for lunch, which was cheap and friendly, The room was clean, but no coffee machine, or balcony furniture.

I selected this hotel based on proximity to airport and having an early morning flight. Shame on me for not doing more research before booking. The positives - it is very close to the airport. The front reception staff were very friendly and helpful. It was sufficient for what I needed - a shower and a place for a brief rest before flying out. The room did have a refrigerator which was helpful. The taxi driver was waiting for me when I was ready to depart. The negatives - the area is industrial, doesn’t feel safe, there are no restaurants near by, and transportation to and from is not easy. As many reviews have noted, the taxi situation back to the airport is an absolute scam. The ride should cost 5-10 Euros. The front desk arranged a taxi for me and stated it would be 25 Euros. The driver attempted to charge me 50 Euros. As for the room the bed was adequate but the sheet had a significant hole in it but it was clean. The shower and bathroom were moderately clean. The air conditioning did not work which was disappointing because the room smells of cigarette smoke. If you stay here, it is adequate for sure, but just be educated.

The already stated taxi charges are an issue, but I would not hold that against the Hotel. My taxi ride that was set up and ready for me from the Hotel to the airport was a fair fee so I think the issues are with the ride from the airport to the hotel where the taxi companies have more leverage and therefore gauge you. Overall I was very pleased with my stay in Luxor Hotel.
