Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights for a conference. Room was a decent size and bedding clean. Carpets could do with a really good wash. Not all staff speak English however they really tried to assist. Internet speed could be better however was functioning. Big drawback is the fact that you have to pay EUR10 to use the gym - would think that if you are in a suite you should get this included, however this was not a deal breaker. Food was good and fresh. The melon was exceptionally sweet. Staying there for longer than 5 days you would start to get bored of the breakfast. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. All in all a good stay and would stay there again.
Travelled on business and stayed at the hotel for two weeks. The hotel location is very good, 5 minutes walk from the beach easy access to a parking lot. The check in was smooth, the room was ready even for the early check in. The room is OK, clean, towels and the bathroom are fine. There is no coffee machine in the room, however, I received a bottle of water as arrived. Small refrigerator does the trick if you need to cool down something. All in all the hotel looks a bit outdated but still OK and clean which is the most important. The breakfast service is very good, the food offered is hot and cold too, bacon, cold cuts, ham, cheese different kinds of coffee. The breakfast starts at 7.00AM usually with a long line up of Asian tourists. The staff at the breakfast work very hard to keep clean and neat the place every day. One day I went for a quick run early in the morning but rain has started so I returned to the hotel. The night shift guy (Tiago Pires) seeing I am wet after the rain -and it was a bit of chili outside- offered me a hot tea which was obviously highly appreciated. Thanks again for that Tiago Pires! The hotel is a very good choice for your money.…
Always like to start with the good and the family suite was very spacious but that is unfortunately where the good news stopped. This might have been a nice hotel when it was built but it has now fallen into disrepair. Everything after you leave the lobby is worn and the carpet throughout is downright disgusting. That coupled with our bathroom that was really just a rust hole and mildew covered shower curtain I probably should give this one star. The topper for the hotel is the price. At 225 a night in the off season one would think you wouldn’t have to wonder if you’re dirtier after the shower than before. Wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here ever and especially at the rate they charge. I’ve stayed in cleaner and nicer hostels.
Stayed here for 6 nights with my wifw and daughter. I was a bit worried having seen some of the negative reviews, but overall we had a very pleasant stay. Sure, the rooms were a bit dated and probably due for refurbishment, but on the plus side they were large and kept clean. Service was efficient and friendly, especially the housekeeper, who helped us figure out the air conditioning control, and promptly provided an extra mattress cover when my wife found the bed too hard on the first night. Nice view from the balcony towards the sea, though the balcony was very small. The public areas looked much more modern, with a nice lobby and glass lifts. Nice hotel bar, though a lot more expensive than outside. Breakfast was good, with hot and cold food, nice bread and a selection of pastries. Quite busy, but the staff were very efficient at clearing and resetting tables to accommodate arriving guests. The pool is quite big, with plenty of sunbeds, and never got too busy when we were there. There is a small bar there for food and drink, which also provides towels for the pool. There was a lifeguard on duty most days we were there. The pool is unheated, but the temperature was fine when we were there (end Aug/early Sep). The hotel adjoins a small shopping centre with a supermarket, which is very convenient. There is also a small foodcourt with several restaurants, but we found it a bit disappointing, and much preferred to eat at one of the many choices in the nearby square on the way to the beach. The beach is about a 5 minute walk away, and there are plenty of beach cafes and bars there too. The beach is big and clean, with nice sand, though it does get quite busy, especially at the weekend.…
