Stayed with my family in a nice rustic room, with beams. The room was well maintained with basic facilities. The only downside was that the room had no air con. Good customer service centred around meeting clients needs.

We had a nice room, the price was reasonable, breakfast was confusing, we decided against it on our second day. Staff of one was fairly pleasant, we had drinks and cake the first night as we were too tired to walk into town. This didn't cost much. We discovered the next day that there are some nice cafeterias (e.g. Degustación 2000) in the new town centre which forms part of the same estate. The house is steamy thanks to the spa but it did cool down at night, then the heating came on. Ok place to stay if in need of accommodation but one night is enough.

Dreadful dreadful dreadful. Breakfast poor. Rooms basic. No insulation from noise through walls or floors. Smells of damp, hidden in the evenings by joss sticks. Situated in a residential area so a fair walk to get to centre of activities. There was no hot water in the taps on our second day so no showers possible unless you like freezing cold water.

This place needs an urgent brush up, the photos provided are totally inadequate. The spa is totally dated, so are the rooms. The decor is a mish mash. Restaurant average. I believe it had its prime time and might have it again but there's work to be done.

I could'nt imagine the stay was going to be so enjoyable.... I did'nt expect something like that on the way to Santiago de Compostella : a very nice atmosphere, beautiful warm decoration, and a friendly welcome. After a long walking day,I could relax in the jacuzzi, and enjoy the pool and the sauna. Then,I could treat myself to a great 1 hour massage. All of that for a very friendly price. Dinner was good, and the room nice and comfortable. The old city has a lot of charm. The harbor is alive with boats arriving in the morning with the fresh fish. I will go there again this summer on holidays. I highly recommend it !

Please, anyone coming to Castro, do not stay here. It is an embarrassment to the spa/restaurant industry. The service is a disaster and the quality of the food is really bad. We were crammed into a tiny 'restaurant' for dinner, if thats what you can call it. We were given burnt steak ( as we were never asked how we would like it) and offered 0.50€ custurd for our dessert from Eroski, the local supermarket. We felt totally robbed of the romantic night they had promised us. Did I mention the cat that was walking around the eating area waiting for pieces of food to eat? When we expressed our opinion about the meal, we were offered no apology nor excuse as to why it was so bad. Please, do not waste you money. Im so annoyed with how we were treated...

This hotel is small and very friendly. The spa treatments are to die for. After a very stressful week, all we wanted was to relax and take advantage of what the hotel offered and we certainly did that. The staff were very considerate and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was excellent and there was a good choice for breakfast. It certainly was very good value and hopefully it will not be too long before we return. Thnak you Belen for making our weekend very special.
