My wife son and I stayed at this hotel in July 2020. To be fair the hotel is very nicely done and the spas gym tennis courts and pool areas are excellent. Restaurant was also quite good and has a lovely outlook over the bay looking at Lefcada. However I have 2 complaints and being a regular 5 star guest at hotels around the world we were disappointed that an extra fee was charged for use of the sauna and tennis courts. If you pay 5 star rates you should be able to make use of all the hotel facilities. Secondly the fridges in the rooms are inadequate and when temperatures are in the mid 30s and you want chilled water or soda or chocolate then it is not possible with what is currently available and this should not be the case in 5 star resorts in hot climates. Outside of these 2 issues we had a very enjoyable time and would recommend this hotel to others. Mike

We have just returned from a week's stay here and we have had a lovely time. Very relaxing hotel and the staff were very friendly. We had a couple of minor blips which the staff solved very quickly for us. One evening we wanted to get a taxi to fiskardo but it didn't time well for the hotel shuttle, they got a golf cart to collect us from the room and then they sorted for us to get the shuttle to the harbour, so nice that they went out their way to do this.

The hotel has very beautiful grounds and the rooms were very different to what we have had before. Lovely layout and lots of wardrobe space. Some very little things in the rooms are stopping it being a 5 star for us though. The shower would leak quite badly when on, so we had a towel there to try and control it. The toilet didn't seem straight. The room was very dark. The safe was way too small, I couldn't keep my tablet etc in there so it never got used. The last issue for us with the room was the view, room 210, we paid for a full sea view, but the bushes across the path being so high actually only allowed us to see the sea when standing up and even then the view was still majorly blocked. This was a special holiday as it was my boyfriends 40th birthday, he loves chilling out whilst watching the sea, but sadly we didn't get to do that at all on our holiday. This room should be a limited seaview room, i didn't want tocomplainn as we was on holida, and i didn't want to be disappointed when they wouldn't have moved us. So we requested a high floor through TUi, didn't get it. We paid for a full Seaview, didn't get it. We mentioned about his birthday via TUI, nothing special was done for his birthday. We've stayed in a 3star before on his birthday and they even left a bottle of wine in the room for him. Very disappointing.

The food was absolutely amazing, the buffet breakfast was the best we have ever had on a holiday, everything so fresh and kept full the whole time. The 2 male waiters that looked after us every morning were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. There was fresh orange juice for the table and what ever hot drinks you desire. We even heard someone asking for iced coffee and that was included. Lunch was amazing, big variety of meals to choose from, all very tasty, the emelisse club sandwich is huge and big enough to share. It's great to know that you can just charge everything to your room.

The pool area was amazing, the waiters walk around every so often and you can order food and drinks etc. The umbrellas are put away every night to make the pool area very smart for the evening, nice chilled vibe at night with a cocktail around the pool was great. The view from pool of the sea is just beautiful, just which we could have seen it from our room.

Thank you to the staff for giving us a lovely week away, we would like to return one day if we could guarantee a different room.

I spent 7 nights at the hotel at the end of July 2020. All the spaces were clean and the use of visors and masks by all the staff (including cleaners) was very reassuring. The food and drinks throughout the hotel were excellent. The breakfast selection was large and extremely tasty. The lunch and dinner menus, as well as the specials of the day, were brilliant.

I was very impressed by the friendliness and care provided by the pool staff, especially Panos, whom I would like to single out for his professional demeanour and attentiveness. Indeed, all the staff at the bar and the restaurant by the main pool were excellent and I would like to thank them all for making my stay pleasurable. They all gave 'service with a smile' and were accommodating at all times.

The only issue I had at the hotel was related to the internet: the signal and the download and upload speeds of the wifi were poor throughout the hotel - from the bedrooms to the main, communal hotel areas.

The good: the setting for this resort is fantastic. Emplisi beach was one of my favourites on the island and only a short walk away. There is a regular shuttle bus into Fiscardo, very handy. Both pool areas are spacious with outstanding views. Breakfast was extensive and restaurant food was also very tasty! They had no problem letting us stay to use the pool on our last day after we'd checked out.

The bad: parking/check in was a nightmare. Without arrival instructions we found ourselves backing up and down roads, calling on intercoms and eventually being directed to park on the side of the main road for the duration of our stay as the hotel parking was full (!). Once in the room we were disappointed - we opted for the sea view/shared pool and for the price, the room was very dark requiring lights on even during the day. We had pre-ordered a bottle of wine for the room which wasn't there - when was asked about it they said they took it off the bill, but since they didn't even provide an itemised bill we're not even sure. Due to COVID, there is also not really a 'spa' which was not clear at all on the website. Some of the staff were friendly, but in general they were indifferent.

Of the 4 places we stayed in Kefalonia, ranging from 70EUR (an apartment) to 300+EUR (Emelisse) this was definitely the worst value for money. If you're only going to take some pretty photos then Emelisse is for you, but if you're expecting a luxury experience, go elsewhere.

The hotel is located on the most magnificent setting with views of blue horizons and surrounding islands. Small buildings are distributed in a large, vegetated area on the northernmost part of the island of Kefalonia. This setup allowed great distancing with no congestion anywhere. The rooms were simple, comfortable and beautifully furnished with elegant taste. Cool, quiet and relaxing atmosphere everywhere.
Highest quality and variety breakfast with most items baked, cooked and prepared on premises. The view was unbeatable and the personnel was pleasant and helpful. I can't remember having better breakfast anywhere.
The Spa smells like heaven and offers a variety of services and therapies.
Fully connected Business Center made contact with work easy and seamless.
Right under the observation deck there is access to the rocky shore for unforgettable swimming in emerald waters. I preferred it over the nearby gorgeous beach just 5' minutes away that tends to get busy in August.
Do not miss the "Golden Hour" at the main restaurant. Breathtaking sunsets with colors hard to describe with words. High aesthetic, beautiful dishes at the open-kitchen restaurant and amazing cocktails at the bar.
Refined taste, relaxed atmosphere, attention to detail, beauty and organic feel everywhere. In general the experience was just fantastic from start to end. I can't wait to visit again. Highly recommended

The hotel is set in romantic tranquil pine surroundings with breathtaking sea views. Location could not be better fantastic beach 5 mins walk and just below the hotel direct sea access where we had many wonderful swims where steps are carved into the rocks giving direct access to turquoise, warm water.

Rooms are so comfortable we had the best sleeps and the private pools are so beautiful everything was so clean

Great amenities, pools, gym, room, wonderful tennis court and one of the best spa experiences ever.

Breakfast is just stunning with fresh baked bread and cakes, and a great selection of hot and cold choices.

Panos at the main pool offers stand out service as do all the staff.

We had the perfect holiday thank you to Emelisse Hotel and staff.

This was our second time in the hotel and it was just as good this time as the first.
Both years we struggled to find first time visitors and we can see why people come back.
The hilltop location provides great views from breakfast and the swimming pools.
We enjoyed the hotel restaurant on the nights we didn’t want to make the short trip in Fiscardo, though the village is well worth a visit either by taking a short walk or the hotel shuttle.
We’ve used the spa both times for sports massages as Sotiris is one of the best therapists we’ve seen either at home or abroad.
The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were excellent in the face of Medicane Ianos. We particularly appreciated the candle lit dinner in reception (due to the power cuts).
Thanks again, and I’m sure we’ll be back, like everyone else.

This is a unique place. From the moment we arrived very late on Tuesday we have been exceedingly well looked after. We have a junior open plan suite with a pool shared between four suites, of which we have been the only uses all week, so I have lilo bobbed in it to my heart’s content! When we arrived a golf buggy took us and our luggage to reception, where we were offered cucumber water and Turkish delight and a cool pristine flannel. Our luggage was in our room and they had organised late night snacks to go with our pre-ordered Greek wine, which was very kind and welcome. We ate on our terrace overlooking pool and un interrupted view of the sea and this was a fabulous start to holiday. On Saturday we did the Fortuna luxury motor yacht cruise. This is one of the best trips we have ever done. There was nine people on the boat which was perfect. Captain Kostas expertly manoeuvred 50 foot cruiser in caves and between rocks. He was relaxed and encouraged us to swim and snorkel as long as you wanted at each stop and move around on the boat as you wished. He was entertaining and snacks were welcome and beautifully presented. He took us for a late lunch at Ithaca which was delightful.
Volla welcomes us to breakfast us with a big smile every day and ensures the team provide us with excellent service. I apologise if I spelt her name incorrectly. Staff in reception are always there with a smile to ensure you have the most perfect stay, organising things like self drive cars. restaurant bookings et cetera.

I like the way the candle is lit outside our door when our room has had its evening attendance sometimes a note of what to look forward to the next day such a pizza night or Jazz night ( brilliant band) .

Yoga teacher is excellent and works with you to get the best out of the session.

I felt rejuvenated within a day. Unwinding more quickly than I have ever done before. I have no reservations in recommending this resort. Everything about it, is top quality.

We returned last week from a 14 night stay at the Emelisse. Our stay was excellent from the moment we arrived to the morning we left; the staff could not do enough for us.

The hotel is beautifully located just outside Fiscardo, and above Emplissi beach which is stunning. The grounds and layout of the hotel are village like and it’s beautifully lit in the evenings. The views over to Lefkada and Ithaca are stunning

The walk into Fiscardo is just 5 -10 minutes and the mini bus which seats 12 is hourly. If they can’t fit you in , they will come back immediately . We were spoilt for choice when dining out in Fiscardo and on a couple of evenings enjoyed the al a carte hotel restaurant which was superb, coupled with stunning sunset views.

Our room p, a junior suite, had great sea views with a small balcony. Fresh towels, bed linen and water were provided daily. The beds were comfy , if a little on the hard side ( the hotel provided a mattress topper when I asked )

There is a choice of two pools, the adult pool was quiet and relaxing, with comfy sun beds. The grounds were well maintained and golf buggies are on hand to transport guests around the grounds. I particularly loved arriving back at the main gate by taxi late evenings after dinner in Fiscardo, and a golf buggy awaiting to whisk us to our room through the magically lit grounds.

Breakfast was lovely, with a huge choice, buffet style with hot drinks served by attentive staff.

A trip out on the hotel yacht is highly recommended.

And a final mention to the amazing staff. Mary in reception is a charming lady who does a great job, and Marie served us with coffee every morning with a big smile and a warm welcome. All of the staff were great, I didn’t know all of their names , but it was always service with a smile.

We booked a night at this hotel in August. The first night we have been away from our young child.
We were really looking forward to lying by the pool and relaxing.
But when we got there the pool was over full with guests from other hotels. They had been allowed in there by staff because there was a big wedding on in the hotel that night, despite the fact this was the middle of Covid season.
Because there was nowhere to sit by the pool we sat in the reception area and asked the staff if there was anything they could do. The staff were surly and very unhelpful. They said they would figure something out and come and find us but they didn't do anything. When we asked them again they reacted as though we were being petty.
So we were faced with the choice of spending the day sitting in the reception or in our rooms (because there were no seats by the pool) or travelling back to our family. We didn't pay a significant sum of money to sit in a reception.

So we talked to the manager and asked for a refund. We were convinced that a refund was the least they could offer, having opened up the hotel to a large group of visitors in the middle of Covid season. But much to our sadness and frustration, they refused to give us any kind of refund.
The staff made us feel like we were being demanding difficult customers.

We left the hotel very upset. I then emailed them several times since, and haven't received a single response.

This hotel does not care about their customers at all. They are putting their customers at risk of Covid by inviting in large groups of non hotel residents to hang out by the pool.
I would strongly recommend not giving any money to these people and do not stay at their hotel.
There are much nicer hotels on the island we discovered hotels of better quality that really care about their customers.
The Ionian Emerald Hotel, for example, is much better, and they do take good care of you.

We stayed in Fiscardo and hired a boat to take us around. The water was calm and so it was an easy trip with our (then) young children. Foki beach is good. Assos and Myrtos are further away but you may be able to reach them. Emelisse hotel does speedboat tours I believe but you might need to be staying there. Hope that helps a little and enjoy.

Definitely hire a small boat in Fiscardo. So many gorgeous beaches and coves to see it is well worth it. See if you can hire someone to drive the boat as well, a local would know all the pretty quieter spots! The island by water is magnificent!

we hired a car as it is so easy to navigate your way around the island. You will also enjoy exploring the little villages along the way. BE sure to get your International DL as it is now a requirement in Greece. Enjoy.
